Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Bogenanleger gemäß Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a sheet feeder according to the preamble of claim 1.

From DE-A 28 02 475 a sheet feeder with suction cups is known with which the sheets are lifted from a stack and guided to downstream conveyor rollers. A three-way valve attached to the suction cup support is provided to control the suction air. This comprises a housing in which a valve rod is guided so as to be displaceable in or against the sheet transport direction. In the middle of the valve rod there is a valve plate, which can alternately fit tightly against a seat of an outside air chamber of small diameter or a suction air chamber of large diameter. Between the two chambers a room is provided in which a line leads to the suction cups. The three-way valve is controlled by the valve rod alternately starting at a front and a rear stop during the reciprocating movement of the suction cups. In this way, on the one hand, the valve disk is brought into contact either with its seat on the outside air chamber or with its seat on the suction air chamber. On the other hand, this ends the movement of the suction cups in or against the transport direction of the sheets. A pressure spring also acts on the valve plate, the force of which is dimensioned such that it is greater than the force exerted by the air in the outside air chamber in one position, but smaller than the force of the outside air acting on the entire valve plate surface in the other position.

This arrangement requires considerable manufacturing effort. The valve rod must be guided on both sides of the valve disk with as little play as possible. The two valve seats must run exactly parallel to the valve plate and perpendicular to the valve rod. This requires high machining accuracy. Furthermore, the force exerted by the compression spring must be within very narrow limits so that the desired function is ensured. Ultimately, the valve is switched over by starting the valve rod at one of the two stops. However, since this not only controls the movement of the valve plate of the three-way valve, but also stops the movement of the entire suction arrangement, strong impacts occur in particular at higher arc speeds when placing the valve plate on one of the valve seats. This leads to increased wear.

The state of the art is also known from DE-B 21 63 083 to adjust the dragging device obliquely to the transport direction of the sheet by means of pivotable carrier for the inclined sheet adjustment.

Proceeding from this, it is the object of the present invention to improve a sheet feeder of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it can be produced from simple, inexpensive parts, that is to say with little production outlay, but is also subject to low wear, in particular even at high machine speeds, that is to say it is reliable Functionality guaranteed.

This object is achieved by the characterizing part of claim 1.

Advantageous further developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

When using the invention, despite a very simple construction which is not susceptible to wear, there is the advantage that the point in time at which the suction cups release the bow can be selected independently of their end position. Nevertheless, only a very small line volume has to be ventilated. In addition, comparatively large ventilation cross sections can be provided in the area of the vacuum cleaner carrier. The measures according to the invention therefore advantageously result in vacuum degradation taking place so rapidly that the time at which the sheet is handed over to the clock rollers is practically sufficient for this. The ventilation of the vacuum cleaners therefore needs completely close or directly to the front end position of the vacuum cleaner carrier. Accordingly, the sheets can be double guided for a comparatively long time, which ensures particularly high accuracy. As a result of the short dead time, it is advantageous to use a very short synchronous range. It is therefore possible to accelerate the drag vacuum cleaner gently to the synchronous speed, i.e. to the speed of the further means of transport, for example in the form of a clock roller, or to slow it down from this speed to a standstill, which is advantageously a gentle, quiet run and thus a total high freedom from interference guaranteed even at high machine speeds. The measures according to the invention accordingly also enable an increase in machine speeds. In this context, it is also advantageous that, as already mentioned, the sheets are released at a defined point in the machine cycle regardless of the speed.

The control member is preferably arranged on the suction head in an adjustable manner. This enables a simple fine adjustment of the ventilation time depending on different boundary conditions, such as the paper quality and the like.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the superordinate measures, the valve plate of the closing member can be pressed from the outside against an assigned closing surface to close off the ventilation opening. This ensures that the closing member is kept in contact with the closing surface when the suction is applied to the vacuum, which ensures high operational reliability.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the ventilation opening can be provided in the area of a central bearing piece of the vacuum cleaner carrier provided with lateral arms. As a result of this placement, a particularly large ventilation cross section can advantageously be provided. In addition, it is possible to provide the ventilation opening approximately in the middle between two successive rows of vacuum cleaners, i.e. approximately in the middle between the actual vacuum cleaners and so-called auxiliary vacuum cleaners, with which all vacuum cleaners are equally well ventilated. In any case, it is advantageous to use only one vent opening.

The pivoting lever of the closing member can expediently be designed here as a one-armed lever which extends in the direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner carrier and carries at its front end a run-up element which runs onto a control surface of the control member designed as an overrun skid. These measures result in a particularly clear structure and reliable functioning.

A further advantageous measure can consist in the vent opening being provided in the region of this pivot axis in the case of a suction cup carrier which can be pivoted about a vertical pivot axis. This ensures that the influence of a pivoting angle of the vacuum cleaner carrier on the time of ventilation is negligible.

According to another, particularly preferred embodiment of the higher-level measures, the drag vacuum carrier can have a plurality, preferably two, of ventilation openings provided in the region of its lateral arms with associated closing members. This configuration is particularly suitable for retrofitting in existing sheet feeders. Another advantage can be seen in the fact that, due to the majority of the ventilation openings, a particularly large overall ventilation cross section can be achieved. In addition, due to the arrangement of the ventilation openings in the area of the lateral arms provided for receiving the suction cups, there are particularly short distances and thus a particularly small line volume to be ventilated.

The control elements can expediently be designed simply as a plunger, by means of which a locking element designed as a two-armed lever can be actuated. In the case of a pivotable arrangement of the drag suction carrier for accomplishing an inclined bow adjustment, the plungers can simply be received on a rocker pivotally mounted on the suction head, the pivot axis of which is arranged parallel to the pivot axis of the drag vacuum carrier. This rocker is advantageously automatically parallel to the vacuum cleaner carrier, so that all ventilation openings are opened at the same time even in the event of an inclined arch adjustment.

The sheet feeder on which FIG. 1 is based consists of a portal-shaped frame 1, in which a stacking table, not shown, which accommodates a stack 2 is suspended and can be raised and lowered. Above the stack 2 there is a suction head 3 which is provided with separating suction devices 4 which can be moved up and down and reciprocating suction devices 5 or auxiliary suction devices 6 which can be moved back and forth. The separating suction devices 4 arranged in the form of a row are received on a separating suction device support 7 which is provided with laterally projecting, tubular arms and can be moved up and down. The teats 5 and auxiliary teats 6, also arranged in rows, are received on a to-and-fro drag suction support 8 which, as can best be seen in FIG. 2, has cantilevers which project laterally from a central bearing piece 9. tubular arms 10 is provided for receiving the respectively assigned suction cups.

The suction cups 4 and the suction cups 5 and auxiliary suction cups 6 are connected to the respective assigned support 7 or 8, which is each designed as a vacuum line section, and via adjoining hoses 11 indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 1 with a vacuum control valve 13 accommodated on the suction head 3 connected, which is connected via a vacuum manifold 14 to a vacuum source and by means of which the suction air can be controlled. With the help of the suction cups 4, the top sheet is lifted from the stack 2. This sheet is then taken over by the teats 5 and auxiliary teats 6 and advanced by them so far that they can be taken over by transport rollers 12 arranged in the area of the leading edge of a belt table, which are used intermittently.

When the sheet is handed over to the transport roller 12, it is released by the drag vac 5 or auxiliary drag vac 6. For this purpose, the vacuum application of the suction devices mentioned is switched off and the suction devices are ventilated from the inside. This ventilation takes place in a very short time, so that there is an abrupt vacuum breakdown. In order to accomplish this, in the area of the vacuum line, a ventilation device close to the vacuum and having large ventilation cross-sections is provided, which in the front end position of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 and thus independently of the machine speed and is actuated solely depending on the position of the reciprocating vacuum cleaner carrier 8.

For this purpose, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 included in the vacuum line itself can be provided with a ventilation opening 15 with a large cross section, to which a closing member 16 accommodated on the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 is assigned, which normally is closed by means of a closing spring 17 in FIG Is held in the closed position and is brought into its open position in the front end position of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 by means of a control member 18 fixed to the suction head 3 in relation to the latter, in which the ventilation opening 15, which has a large cross section, is accessible from the outside for ventilation of the vacuum line.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a ventilation opening 15 is provided, which is arranged in the region of the support piece 9 of the suction cup carrier 8. The closing member 16 assigned to this ventilation opening 15 can, as can best be seen from FIG. 2, contain a one-armed pivot lever 19 which interacts with the closing spring 17 and is mounted on the support piece 9 and is provided with a valve disk 20 which, in the closed position, on a by the end face of a closing surface 21 formed by the connection piece containing ventilation opening 21. At the front end remote from the bearing, the pivot lever 19 is provided with a thrust element 22, here in the form of a thrust roller. The control member 18 is designed as a runners provided with a control surface 23, on which the starting element 22 in the front end position of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 so runs that the pivot lever 19 pivots against the closing spring force and pressure difference acting on it and thus the valve plate 20 is lifted from the closing surface 21. In this position, the ventilation opening 15, which is comparatively large in comparison to the line cross section of the vacuum line, is opened, so that when the connection to the vacuum source is switched off, the vacuum is rapidly released within the vacuum line leading to the suction devices 5 or auxiliary suction devices 6.

The overrun skid forming the control element 18 can be fixed in the direction of movement of the suction cup support 8 on the suction head 3, as indicated by an elongated hole connection. This enables a fine adjustment of the ventilation time. To achieve gentle operation, the control surface 23 is provided with a start-up chamfer. However, this has a high gradient to ensure short switching times.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the suction cup support 8 is arranged so as to enable a so-called inclined arch adjustment to be pivoted about an approximately vertical axis a. In the event of a pivoting movement of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8, the latter also changes its orientation with respect to the control member 18 which is stationary on the suction head 3. In order to nevertheless switch off the resultant influence on the actuation of the ventilation device, the ventilation opening 15 and accordingly the closing member 16 associated therewith are here Area of the pivot axis a of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 is arranged. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1 the nozzle containing the ventilation opening 15 protrudes downward from the suction cup support 8 for the sake of clarity of the drawing. In such a case, the ventilation opening 15 can be arranged coaxially with the axis a. In practice, as can best be seen from FIG. 2, the ventilation opening 15 is designed as a side exit. This can be located in the region of a web 24 of the vacuum cleaner carrier 9 which connects the legs 10 associated with the tubular arms. The ventilation opening 15 is located on the pivot axis a of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 side of the web 24 and thus still in such close proximity to the axis a that in the case of an inclined position of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 there is no significant influence on the switching time.

In the example on which FIGS. 3 and 4 are based, two ventilation devices are arranged in the area of the lateral arms 10 of the vacuum cleaner carrier, which hold the suction cups, expediently in the area of the arms 10 assigned to the actual vacuum cups 5 intended. For this purpose, the tubes forming the arms 10 are provided with radial recesses which are each overlapped by a valve block 25 which is provided with a ventilation opening 26, as can best be seen from FIG. The ventilation opening 26 can be closed by means of a valve plate 27, which is received on a two-armed pivot lever 28, which extends transversely to the direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8 and which is located in its middle Area on the valve block 25 is pivotally mounted and its arm remote from the plate cooperates with an associated closing spring 29. To actuate the swivel levers 28 in the opening direction, each swivel lever 28 is assigned a plunger 30 fastened to the suction head 3, with respect to which the suction cup carrier 8 can be moved. The plunger 30 assigned to the individual ventilation openings 26 can be fastened to the suction head 3 separately from one another. In the exemplary embodiment shown, all tappets 30, which are assigned to the valve blocks 25 arranged in alignment with one another, are accommodated on a common rocker 31 which is pivotably mounted on the suction head 3, as indicated in FIG. 3 by the bearing block 32. With the help of the rocker 31, in the event of an inclined arc adjustment, ie in the event of a pivoting of the suction cup carrier 8 about a vertical axis, the plunger 30 tracks the pivoting movement of the suction cup carrier 8, so that all ventilation openings 26 provided on both sides of the pivot axis of the suction cup carrier 8 are provided simultaneously be opened. The resistance initially emanating from the associated closing spring 29 when a cam 30 runs onto the associated pivot lever 38 is sufficient for the rocker 31, the pivot axis of which runs parallel to the pivot axis of the vacuum cleaner carrier 8, to be set automatically parallel to the latter.

In the context of the above description, in connection with the run-up of the start-up element onto the associated control element and thus the time of opening of the ventilation opening 15 from the front end position of the Schleppsaugerträger 8 the speech. This means the area of the front end position, which can already begin towards the end of the synchronous phase between the suction cup carrier 8 and the further transport means 12, which can extend to the front end position of the suction cup carrier 8.
