Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a closable storage bottle for pourable or flowable goods, in particular for household purposes (see preamble of claim 1).
  • Such bottles are usually made of plastic and end up in the waste after emptying.
  • a semi-stable bottle made of plastic for receiving and administering physiological liquids for medical purposes has become known.
  • This has a hexagonal contour with outer edges laid inwards as well as bottom folding edges with side gussets also directed inwards.
  • the bottle is suspended from a frame by means of a bracket located on the bottom and collapses in accordance with the amount of liquid dispensed through the outlet.
  • Such a bottle can only stand when fully filled. The degree to which it empties decreases in stability and is therefore unsuitable for absorbing bulk or flowable household goods.
  • the present invention has therefore set itself the task of creating such a reusable, environmentally friendly plastic bottle that can be folded into a flat structure, or which takes on a flat shape under the weight of the waste stored above it, so the Reduce space requirements.
  • the bottle should be inherently stable and stable when filled or partially filled.
  • the bottle shape according to the invention is characterized in that it is dimensionally stable and stable even when using thin walls. At the same time, it can be easily compressed into a flat structure, which means that only a fraction of the volume of waste that had previously been accepted.
  • the bottle can have a customary shape, the inner and outer edges of the stretched-hexagonal cross-section converging to form the pouring opening. It is not necessary for the pouring opening to lie in the region of the central axis of the bottle; in particular, it can also be offset laterally.
  • a handle recess can be molded into the bottle body for easier handling. In order to facilitate the compression, this also has linear folding edges with preferably small kink radii in order to keep the dimensional stability as low as possible by means of the beading effect occurring with larger radii.
  • the bottle is provided with a hollow handle, an opening being left free between this and the bottle body.
  • Hollow handle and bottle body have their own inner and outer folding edges.
  • the outer and inner edges have an elongated, approximately parallel hexagonal contour tapering upwards and downwards, with folded edges being arranged between their corners.
  • the hollow handle can also be rounded off slightly to improve the design effect.
  • Household bottles for the storage of pourable or flowable goods such as.
  • Detergents and cleaning agents are usually closed with screw caps, with a threaded connector with an external thread being formed on the bottles.
  • the thread represents an undesired reinforcement of the connecting piece, which prevents it from being compressed in this area. It is therefore proposed to provide the thread with opposing notches, the notches being in the extension of the outer edges of the bottle body. When pressed together, the notches can become so expand and cause defined weakening of the nozzle without impeding the thread function.
  • Crystalline polyethylene is particularly preferred as the material for bottle manufacture.
  • the bottle shape is produced using the blowing process, with initial wall thicknesses of approximately 0.3 to 0.5 mm (for a bottle volume of 11) having proven particularly useful.
  • the outer angle between the outer edges and the inner edges of the hexagonal cross-section which should be approximately 70 to 110 °, preferably 80-90 °, is also advantageous for the slight compression of the bottles.
  • the inner bottle surfaces can be slightly rounded.
  • the body itself is relatively flat, the edge distances of the inner bottle surfaces in the region below the possibly to be brought together to the pouring spout being approximately three times the distance of the outer edges from the inner edges.
  • Fig. 1 shows a storage bottle with a hexagonal cross section (floor plan).
  • the bottle body 1 has outer edges 2 and inner edges 10, the distance between the two inner edges 10 from one another preferably being approximately three times the distance between the outer edges 2 and the inner edges 10. This results in a flat bottle body, the inner bottle surfaces 8 are only slightly arched.
  • the bottle base is drawn inwards up to a center line 6, along which it can be folded.
  • the center line extends essentially in a straight line or slightly rounded at the ends between the ends 5 of the outer edges 2, which simultaneously form the transition from the side edges 2 to the bottom edges 4.
  • the bottom edges are in particular convexly rounded -9- and have a medium elevation up to point 30, so that the bottom edges 4 have two pairs of support points on a footprint (not shown).
  • the illustration shows a hollow handle 12, an opening 13 being left free between the latter and the bottle body 1.
  • the opening 13 is stretched hexagonal with the corners 16 'to 21', the tips 16 'and 19' pointing down and up.
  • the hexagon 16 'to 21', 13 of the opening lies in the central plane of the bottle body 1. From it, folded edges run from the respective corner points to an outer hexagon which also surrounds this and also forms folding edges 22 to 27 in the plane of the bottle shell and the hollow handle 12 with the corner points 16 to 21. In this way, the hollow handle is given a diamond-shaped cross section.
  • the right inner edge 10 extends from the upper outer hexagon point 19 to the pouring opening, the threaded connector 28, and downwards from the opposite hexagonal point 16.
  • the position 31 on the thread 33 indicates the places at which the thread 33 can have notches for weakening it.
  • Fig. 2 shows the arrangement of the hollow handle 12 in the central plane of the bottle body 1 with the outer hexagonal edges 28 and the outer folded edge 2.
  • the latter runs down to the end point 5, from which the bottom edges 4 extend on both sides, these over the bevels 7 (if necessary) are formed into convex fillets and form the four stand areas mentioned above, between which the center line 6, here rounded to the ends, runs.
  • the outer edge 2 widens upward toward the bottle neck with the threaded connector 28, it being possible for the thread to be notched at position 31.
  • a screw cap is indicated by dashed lines. Furthermore, the folded edges 16, 23, 24, 26 and 27 are shown as well as the outer hexagon points 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 on both sides of the outer edge 2.
  • FIG 3 shows a trapezoidal bottle shape, in which the socket 28 with the screw cap 39 is seated on an inclined surface 32.
  • the shape of the floor, with the bevels 7 of the floor edges 4 and the convex central indentation at point 30, corresponds to that in FIG. 1.
  • the handle can be designed as a trough 11 as shown.
  • the trough can be turned outwards. This is achieved in the present case by an edge square 34 with a lower central edge 35 and crease lines 36 extending from the corner points of the edge square 34 to the ends of the central edge 35, whereby a negative roof shape is created which snaps outward on pressure.
  • the bottom edges 4 converge to the ends at an angle ⁇ of preferably between 70 and 90 °. Between the tips extends the center line 6, along which the bottom is folded, the bottom edges 4 then lying against one another.
  • the shape of the bottom creates a slight lateral indentation 37 in this area.
  • a transverse line 38 can be embossed here, which intersects the center line 6.
  • the sprue At the crossing point 39 is the sprue, which is particularly conveniently accessible via the short line 38 on a short way.
