Description

The invention relates to a weather protection grille for chimneys, comprising a frame and horizontal weather protection slats arranged in it, which are arranged in a row.

Such weather protection grilles serve as ventilation grilles for chimneys that are equipped with flue gas pipes for flue gas routing. These pipes, which are usually made of a corrosion-resistant material, have an outer insulating layer so that a minimum temperature of the flue gas is maintained in the flue gas pipes, which ensures a residual natural draft.

The space between the insulated flue gas pipes and the outer concrete chimney, which serves as a static support, must be ventilated. For this purpose, the concrete chimney has ventilation openings that are provided with the weather protection grilles, also called weather protection blinds. The weather protection grilles or blinds in the openings of the concrete chimney are necessary to prevent damage and / or sooting of the outer insulation layer of the flue gas pipes, which can otherwise occur as a result of rain break through the ventilation openings. It should be noted that the ventilation openings, some of which are located at high heights on the chimneys, can be exposed to strong influences with regard to wind speeds, exposure to rain, snow and hail. If the weather conditions are unfavorable, the weather protection grilles are also unintentionally exposed to some of the smoke gases to be discharged, which can result in a strong corrosive load.

In the case of weather protection grilles of the type mentioned at the outset, the frame and the horizontally arranged, stable, mechanical weather protection slats which are encompassed by the latter are therefore made of highly corrosion-resistant plastic, namely polypropylene. The weather protection slats are arranged in at least one row, although a single-row arrangement does not reliably prevent the rain from breaking through in unfavorable weather conditions. Therefore, there are also multi-row grids, especially three to five-row grids, but they do not work satisfactorily in a short design.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of developing a weather grille for chimneys of the type mentioned in such a way that even with a short construction a rain breakdown is prevented with great certainty.

This object is achieved according to the characterizing part of claim 1 in that at least one droplet separating package is installed in the weather protection grille behind the row of weather protection slats. This means that the series of weather protection louvres in the weather protection grille, which can be inserted into the chimney opening, is located further outside to keep the wind pressure out and the greater part of the moisture - rainwater - to be separated, while the droplet separation package is located further inside to also remove the remaining moisture safely removed from the airflow through the weather grille. This results in a short design, since a series of weather protection slats in conjunction with the drop separation package is sufficient to achieve the desired separation effect with certainty.

According to claim 2, the vertical arrangement of the droplet separating lamella in the droplet separating package contributes significantly to this, since the air flow in the row of weather protection slats initially vertically, but is diverted horizontally in the drop separation package. The separation effect is optimized by the deflection in different directions.

Depending on the intended use of the droplet separator package in the weather protection grille and the required free cross section, the droplet separating lamellae can expediently be arranged at a mutual distance in the range from 25 to 33 mm, for which purpose a holder is used.

Specifically, the droplet separating lamellae are shaped in such a way that they form single-layer, curved baffles, on which the raindrops coagulate to form larger droplets. To remove even large amounts of rain, the weather protection slats are formed on the inside and / or outside with a catch nose, which ensures that the liquid film formed from the larger drops is discharged downwards by gravity.

To collect the rainwater that has been separated and directed downwards, the weather protection grille has a collecting box into which the droplet separating lamellae open. The collecting box advantageously extends below the row of weather protection slats. A drain pipe embedded in the collection box serves to drain the collected water inwards or outwards, depending on the preferred arrangement of the drain pipe on the collection box.

In the corrosion-resistant design of the weather protection grille, the droplet separation package can advantageously consist of plastic, in particular polypropylene. This means that the entire weather protection grille can be made from a uniform, highly corrosion-resistant material.

The weather protection grille with the specified features is advantageously suitable for a modular construction.

An embodiment of the weather protection grid according to the invention is described below with reference to a drawing with three figures. Show it:
Fig. 1
the weather protection grille in a view from the front,
Fig. 2
the weather protection grille in a longitudinal section in the section plane BB according to FIG. 1 and
Fig. 3
the weather protection grille in a cross section as a plan view of the section plane AA in Fig. 2nd

In Fig. 1, a frame which can be inserted into an opening of a concrete chimney is designated by 1. On its front side shown, it has vertical round bars 2 which are arranged at a distance from one another and serve as bird protection. The round bars are indicated with dash-dotted lines.

In side walls 3, 4 - see FIG. 3 - weather protection slats 5 - 11 are embedded horizontally in a vertical row.

The shape and the arrangement of the weather protection slats can best be seen in FIG. 2. Here it can also be seen how the shape of the weather protection slat merges into an upper catch lug 12 or 13. In practice, the remaining shape of the weather protection lamella is realized as a curvature, instead of the straight-angled shape shown in a simplified manner in FIG. 2.

From FIG. 2 it can also be seen how in the direction of flow of the air flow from the outside inwards, which is indicated by an arrow 14, behind the row of weather protection slats, a droplet separating packet 15 in the frame or is attached between the side walls and upper and lower wall 16, 17. Under the row of weather protection slats is a collecting box 18, from which a discharge pipe 19 extends inwards. (Inside and outside refers to the installation position of the weather protection grille in the chimney, not shown.) The collecting box has an upper opening 20 in order to collect the rainwater separated from the weather protection slats and flowing downwards and to discharge it through the discharge pipe 19. The collecting box also receives the remaining rainwater collected and drained off by the drop separator package, since vertically arranged drop separating lamellae open directly into the collecting box.

In Fig. 3 only two outer Trofpenabscheidelamellen 21 and 22 are shown, which belong to a group of thirteen droplet separating lamellae, two drop separating lamellae, as indicated by short, unspecified lines on the drop separating packet 15, are arranged at equidistant distances from each other. The horizontal distances can be selected depending on the application and the required free cross section in the range between 25 and 33 mm and can be maintained by a special mounting system, not shown in detail.

The droplet separation lamellae, e.g. 21, 22, form single-layer, curved baffles, although the greatly reduced illustration in FIG. 3 shows only straight-line sections. The raindrops are separated here by the raindrops hitting the impact surfaces or impact walls and, as a result, coagulating into larger drops. The horizontal deflection of the air flow in the droplet separation package 15 is indicated by the arrow 16.

To remove even large amounts of rain, an outer catch 23 or 24 is formed on the drop separating lamellae, which serves to discharge the liquid film by gravity down into the collecting box 18. A second catch nose formed on the inside of each drop separating lamella, which acts analogously to the outer catch nose, is not emphasized in FIG. 3.

A rough separation of the rainwater takes place through the upper gutters 12, 13 of the weather protection slats, while a fine separation is carried out on the inner droplet separation slats. With only two rows of slats, a practically complete separation of the water is guaranteed with a short construction of the weather protection grille. The practically perfect separation is achieved by the combination of the vertical air flow deflection with the weather protection slats and the horizontal deflection with the drop separation slats. - The short design of the weather protection grille makes it easy to integrate into the chimney wall.
