Description

The invention relates to a lattice window with a casement. a glass pane that occupies the entire inner surface of the casement and a rung grid applied to at least one side of the glass pane.

Rung windows were initially produced as a wooden structure with casement frames and a raster grid, in the grid of which individual glass panes were used. The production of such windows is relatively complex, since not only the sash frame has to be provided with a rung grid, but separate panes have to be used in all individual grid fields and fastened with putty. With the insulating glazing that is common today, the panes for the individual grid fields, which are usually outside the usual standard formats, have to be made separately.

A relatively simple substitute solution for double glazing is therefore that a rung grid made of plastic is inserted between the two panes of double glazing. However, such windows are readily recognizable as an imitation of a rung window.

A better imitation of the visual impression of a lattice window can be achieved by placing lath bars on one or both surfaces of a continuous glass pane. Attachable crossbars of this type can be made from wood, but are also available on the market in the form of hollow plastic profiles. Since the rungs on the rungs must fit tightly against the glass pane in order to achieve the desired visual impression, silicone is usually injected into the space between the glass pane and the rungs as well as into the corners formed between the two. This work is very tedious and time-consuming and, as a rule, it cannot be carried out with satisfactory success by a layperson using the do-it-yourself method.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a lattice window of the generic type, the lattice grid of which can be assembled with little effort and, if appropriate, also by a layperson.

This object is achieved in that the strips of the rung grid are formed by an extruded hollow plastic profile with co-extruded soft sealing lips on both edges facing the glass pane.

The sealing lips give the impression of a clean and even spraying with silicone, so that the rung grid only has to be placed on the glass pane and no further work is required. The sealing lips are also able to bridge minor inaccuracies in the dimensions. The sealing lips can also be extruded in a different color.

Fig. 1
ist eine Schnittdarstellung einer ersten Ausführungsform einer erfindungsgemäßen Sprossen-Leiste;
Fig. 2
ist eine entsprechende Darstellung einer zweiten Ausführungsform der Sprossen-Leiste;
Fig. 3
Preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the attached drawing.
Fig. 1
is a sectional view of a first embodiment of a rung bar according to the invention;
Fig. 2
is a corresponding representation of a second embodiment of the rung bar;
Fig. 3
shows a section of an insulating glass pane with rung strips placed on both sides according to FIG. 1.

A rung bar 10 shown in Fig. 1 represents an extruded, essentially box-shaped hollow profile made of plastic, on the wide outer surface of which a double-sided adhesive tape 12 is attached. Soft sealing lips 14, 16 are attached to the edges of the strip 10 on both sides of the adhesive tape 12 by coextrusion.

The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 only in that the bar designated 18 has a narrower, higher cross section. In addition, other cross-sectional formats can be produced according to the respective window sizes and the desired rung thickness.

Fig. 3 illustrates the equipment of a window with double glazing with a rung grid according to the invention.

The two glass panes of an insulating glazing are designated by 20 and 22. The insulating glazing and the casement are not shown in the rest.

With the aid of the double-sided adhesive tape 12, strips 10 according to FIG. 1 are glued onto the outer surfaces of the glass panes 20, 22 in opposite positions. The soft sealing lips 14, 16 lie closely against the outer surface of the glass panes 20, 22. Further rework, in particular the time-consuming and difficult injection of silicone into the corners between the glass panes and the strips, is not necessary.

The rung strips according to the invention in particular also allow retrofitting of existing windows to rung glazing.
