Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Schreibgerät gemäß den im Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1 angegebenen Merkmalen.The invention relates to a writing instrument according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Aus der US-A-3 237 604 ist ein derartiges Schreibgerät mit einem Druckknopf bekannt, mit welchem ein als Führungskurve ausgebildetes konisches Teil sowie ein zylindrisches Teil verbunden sind, welches in einer Ringnut eine Kugel enthält. Diese Kugel steht mit einer Schaltkurve im Eingriff, welche zwischen zwei axial beabstandet angeordneten, ringförmigen Elementen liegt. Ein in das Gehäuse des Schreibgerätes hineinragender Ansatz eines Clips wird mittels einer Feder an die genannte Führungskurve gedrückt. Die Feder dient gleichzeitig zur Befestigung des Clips, wobei jedoch keine zu starke Federkraft vorgegeben werden kann, da ansonsten die Betätigung der Schreibmine mittels des Druckknopfes erschwert wurde. Die Befestigung des Clips mittels der Feder ist nicht besonders stabil und zudem ist nicht sichergestellt, daß der Clip eine zur Längsachse des Schreibgerätes im wesentlichen parallele Ausrichtung einhält. So kann der Clip in seiner aus dem Gehäuse herausgefahrenen Position bezüglich der Aufhängung mittels der Feder geschwenkt werden, zumal infolge von Fertigungstoleranzen eine genaue Festlegung und Führung in der Praxis kaum gewährleistet werden kann. Ferner kann in der eingefahrenen Position der Clip an seinem freien Ende erfaßt und geschwenkt werden, so daß er in bekannter Weise über den Rand einer Tasche eines Kleidungsstückes geschoben werden kann. Hierbei besteht die Gefahr, daß durch Austreten der Schreibflüssigkeit das Kleidungsstück verschmutzt wird. Ferner ist aus der DE-C-30 46 093 ein Schreibgerät mit einem Clip bekannt, welcher in einer Aussparung eines Gehäuses versenkbar angeordnet ist. Die Steuereinheit enthält einen Druckknopf und eine Steuer- oder Schaltkurve, um die Mine in der Schreibposition bzw. der in das Gehäuse zurückgezogenen Position zu halten. Am oberen Ende des Clips ist ein Schaltkopf angeordnet, der in die Aussparung des Gehäuses auf der einen Seite eingreift, das Gehäuse durchdringt, auf der dem Clip gegenüberliegenden Seite aus dem Gehäuse herausragt und dort eine vorstehende Schaltfläche aufweist. In der Schreibposition wird der Druckknopf und damit die Mine mittels eines am Schaltkopf angeordneten Führungsvorsprunges gehalten, welcher in einer am oberen Ende der Steuer- oder Schaltkurve vorgesehenen Riegelfäche einrastet. Zum Zurückfahren der Mine in das Gehäuse muß ein Benutzer über die Schaltfläche den auf dieser Gehäuseseite vorstehenden Schaltkopf radial nach innen in Richtung zur Längsachse des Gehäuses eindrücken, wobei der genannte Vorsprung von der Riegelfäche freigegeben wird und auf der anderen Seite der Clip aus dem Gehäuse herausbewegt wird. Das erfindungsgemäße Schreibgerät zeichnet sich durch eine zuverlässige Konstruktion und eine einfache Handhabung aus. Es versteht sich, daß bei herausgefahrener Mine der Clip im Gehäuse versenkt ist und umgekehrt. Im Vergleich mit bekannten Schreibgeräten wird ein relativ großer Hub der Mine erreicht. In der zurückgefahrenen Position weist die Minenspitze zur Spitze des Schreibgerätes einen großen Abstand auf, und zwar größer als 3 mm, zweckmäßig größer als 4 mm, so daß eine hohe Sicherheit gegen eindringende Textilfasern erreicht wird. Fig. 1 zeigt das als ein Rohr ausgebildete Gehäuse 2, das auch als Oberteil bezeichnet wird und an seinem hinteren Ende eine Ausnehmung 4 für einen Clip 6 aufweist. Im Inneren des Gehäuses 2 sind ein Führungsteil 8 und ein Kurventeil 10 angeordnet, an dessen hinteren Ende, welches hier aus dem Gehäuse 2 herausragt, ein Druckknopf 12 sowie eine diesen umgebende Druckknopfhülse 14 vorgesehen sind. Der Druckknopf 12 ist zweckmäßig integraler Bestandteil des Kurventeils 10. Mit einem Schlußdeckel 16, durch dessen Öffnung 18 der Druckknopf 12 hindurchragt, ist das Gehäuse 2 an seinem hinteren Ende abgeschlossen. Der Clip 6 greift mit einem Ansatz 20 in Richtung senkrecht zur Längsachse 22 in das Gehäuse 2 und ist mit einem Bolzen 24 in einer Führungskurve 26 des Kurventeils 10 geführt. Das Ende 21 des Ansatzes 20 liegt innerhalb des Gehäuses. Mit einer hinteren Anschlagfläche 27, einer nach vorn bis etwa in die Mitte des Gehäuses 2 reichenden Verlängerung, liegt das Kurventeil 10 am Führungsteil 8 in der dargestellten hinteren Endposition an. Der Clip 6 weist oberhalb des Ansatzes 20 ein Endteil 28 mit einem Kasten für eine Clipfeder 30 auf. Das Endteil 28 weist innerhalb des Gehäuses 2 seitliche Flanken auf, welche sich an den Innenseiten der Clipausnehmung 4 des Gehäuses 2 abstützen, wenn der Clip herausgefahren ist. So wird sichergestellt, daß im herausgefahrenen Zustand der Cliprücken parallel zur Mantellinie des Gehäuses 2 verläuft. Der Clip ist über die Feder 30 im Führungsteil 8 abgestützt. In der dargestellten Position ist der Clip 6 aus dem Gehäuse 2 herausgefahren und kann um den Bolzen 24 entgegen der Kraft der Feder 30 geschwenkt werden, um das Schreibgerät beispielsweise am Rand der Tasche eines Kleidungsstückes festzustecken. Der Clip ist im wesentlichen starr ausgebildet und mittels der im Inneren des Endteiles 28 angreifenden Feder 30 wird über das vordere Ende des Clips 6 die geforderte Klemmkraft auf das Kleidungsstück oder dergleichen ausgeübt. Mit Ausnahme des Gehäuses 2 bilden die vorstehend genannten Teile den Steuerteil, also die zur Betätigung der Mine und des Clips ausgebildete Mechanikbaugruppe, welche als eine vormontierte Baugruppe ausgebildet ist. Die parallele Ausrichtung des Clips 6 wird mittels der Feder 30 im Zusammenwirken mit der Führungsbahn 40 gewährleistet. Ist das Kurventeil 10 aus der hier gezeigten Position nach vorn bewegt, so liegt der Bolzen 24 im hinteren Kurvenast 44 der Führungskurve 26, und der Clip ist gänzlich in das Gehäuse 2 versenkt, wobei die vordere Spitze der Mine in die Schreibposition gefahren ist und aufgrund der Schaltkurve 36 bis zur weiteren Betätigung des Druckknopfes 12 dort gehalten wird. Die Hülse 62 enthält mindestens eine nach hinten offene Längsnut 64, die zur Festlegung und Ausrichtung der Gewindehülse 52 bezüglich des Gehäuses 2 dient. Die Hülse 62 liegt vor dem vorderen Ende des Führungsteils 8, welches mit noch zu erläuternden Verbindungselementen mit der Gewindehülse 52 in Eingriff steht. Über diese Verbindungselemente ist das Führungsteil 8 bezüglich der Gewindehülse 52 auch in Umfangsrichtung festgelegt, so daß ferner der Clip 6 bezüglich der Ausnehmung 4 definiert ausgerichtet ist. Der Schlußdeckel 16 liegt mit der Hinterschneidung 94 auf dem hinteren Ende des Gehäuses auf, während das Vorderteil 56 mit dem Bund 58 am vorderen Gehäuseende anliegt, wobei innerhalb des Gehäuses nach dem Einschrauben des Vorderteils 56 in die Gewindehülse 52 die axialen Zugkräfte über die Ausnehmung 84 auf das Verbindungselement 82 des Führungsteils übertragen werden. Claims (21)

  1. Writing instrument with a clip (6) arranged for retraction into a barrel (2), which clip has a projection (20) ending in the interior of the barrel (2) and engages a guide cam (26), a push button (12) which is connected to a cam member (10) having the guide cam for the clip (6), and an operating unit comprising an operating cam (36) for moving a cartridge (38) into and out of the barrel (2), the clip (6) and the cartridge (38) being operable by means of the push button (12), characterised in that the guide cam (26) and the operating cam (36) are both arranged on a common cam member (10), in that the cam member (10) is provided with a guide track (40) on which the forward end (42) of the clip (6) lies, the guide track (40) and the guide cam (26) being so arranged that operation of the push button (12) causes movement of the clip (6) in a direction essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis (22) of the barrel (2).
  2. Writing instrument as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that a pin (24) arranged at the inner end of the projection (20) engages the guide cam (26) and/or in that the guide cam (26) of the cam member (10) is arranged between the end of the cartridge and the push button (12).
  3. Writing instrument as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the operating cam (36) which is preferably formed as a heart cam, is arranged in a region lateral to the cartridge (38) and/or in that the operating cam (36) is provided in a tongue (37) of the cam member (10) arranged laterally of the cartridge (38).
  4. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that an opening (72) is provided in the tongue (37) adjacent the end of the guide track (40), in which opening the forward end (42) of the clip (6) is received when the clip is in a retracted position.
  5. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that a forwardly extending groove 96 is provided as an extension to the operating cam (36) for the introduction of the ball (35).
  6. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the operating cam (36), which is formed as a heart cam, is provided between its rear and forward portions with a connection groove (98) of reduced depth, across which the ball (35) may be moved by impact forces, the cam member (10) and/or the annular member (32) being formed of resiliently deformable material, in particular of plastics material.
  7. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that within the barrel (2) the clip has flanks arranged essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis (22) of the barrel (2), the width measured in the region of the flanks being greater than the width of an opening (4) in the barrel (2).
  8. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that a cap (16), a guide member (8), a threaded sleeve (52) and a front piece (56) are connected within the barrel (2) according to the principle of the tension anchor, the cap (16) is fixed at the rear end of the barrel (2) and the front piece (56) is fixed at the front end of the barrel (2) with a bead (58).
  9. Writing instrument as claimed in claim 8, characterised in that the cap (16) has an undercut (94) in which the rear end of the barrel (2) engages, said end lying with a bevel on a conical surface of the undercut (94) such that an inwardly directed force radial to the longitudinal axis (22) is exerted on the rear end of the barrel (2).

Writing instrument as claimed in claim 8 or 9, characterised in that the cap (16), in particular a lateral tab (90) thereof, is provided with a groove (92) in which a lateral holding stud (77) of the guide member (8) is arranged, two such tabs (90) and holding studs (77) preferably being disposed symmetrically about the longitudinal axis 922).
  11. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the cam member (10) has a rear abutment surface (27) which contacts a surface (47) on the guide member (8) to limit rearward movement of the cam member (10).
  12. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 2 to 11, characterised in that the clip (6) engages with its projection (20) in an opening (70) between two lateral portions (71) of the cam member (10), and in that preferably both lateral portions (71) are provided with the guide cam (26) in which the ends of the pin (24) are guided.
  13. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the clip (6) is provided with an end portion (28) in which a spring (30) is arranged, which spring is preferably arranged in an opening (46) at the rear end of the guide member (8).
  14. Writing instrument as claimed in claim 13, characterised in that, in the retracted position, the end portion (28) of the clip (6) at least approximately contacts a bottom surface (50) of the opening (46).
  15. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the guide member (8) is provided with an annular portion (32) which surrounds the cartridge (38) and in the inner surface of which there is formed a groove (34) extending over a given circumferential angle, in which groove there is arranged a ball (35) which co-operates with the operating cam (36).
  16. Writing instrument as claimed in claim 15, characterised in that the annular part (32) is spaced from the rear end of the barrel (2), preferably being approximately in the centre of the barrel (2), narrow connecting legs (74) preferably being present.
  17. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 16, characterized in that the guide member (8) and especially the annular portion (32) is provided with a supporting surface (66) for the tongue (37) of the cam member (10).
  18. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 17, characterized in that a threaded sleeve (52) is arranged in the forward end of the barrel (2), into which sleeve a front piece (56) can be screwed.
  19. Writing instrument as claimed in claim 18, characterized in that the threaded sleeve (52) is connected with the guide member (8), a connecting element (82) preferably engaging in an opening (84), similarly to a swallowtail connection.
  20. Writing instrument as claimed in claim 18 or 19, characterized in that the front piece (56) has a bead (58) which engages the forward edge of the barrel (2).
  21. Writing instrument as claimed in one of claims 1 to 20, characterised in that the barrel (2) has a sleeve (62) fixedly mounted therein, the sleeve being provided with at least one guide groove (64), the guide groove (64) being provided for positioning of the threaded sleeve (52) and/or the guide member (8) including the clip (6) with respect to the opening (4) of the barrel (2).
