Definitions

  • the invention relates to a clothes horse for hanging laundry and other fabric-like structures, which has a column supported on the floor to which are attached obliquely upward provided with clothes lines, collapsible support arms.
  • Clothes racks the support arms of which are collapsibly fastened to a column, are known in various designs. Usually four support arms are provided, which are held in an obliquely upward position by holding arms. Lines in the form of a rectangular loop are stretched on the support arms, these loops being arranged one above the other at a distance. Accordingly, the loops arranged at the end of the support arms have a larger circumference; this decreases the further the loops are stretched inwards from the ends of the support arms.
  • the size of these drying racks is generally sufficient for large textile surfaces, e.g. B. Sheets can be hung on the upper, outer loops spread out. Smaller items of laundry and fabric can be hung from the loops on the inside.
  • the known clothes horse have a certain hanging capacity, which is the total length of the Loop length results. It is not possible to increase the suspension capacity with longer support arms, although more loops can be laid.
  • the drying rack is to be carried and moved by a single person, especially a woman, the size of the support arms is limited. Even if the column supported on the floor, the support arms and the holding arms are made of light metal, a certain size cannot be exceeded.
  • washing lines which are laid horizontally one above the other on the support arms and form a square loop, are fastened to the support arms at different distances. This ensures that the number of clothesline loops laid can be increased.
  • the superimposed loops of the washing lines are expediently arranged with loop spacings decreasing from top to bottom.
  • a group of clothesline loops lying one above the other and arranged at the same intervals to be followed by one or more further groups with the same loop intervals, but decreasing from top to bottom.
  • the invention is based on the consideration that the hanging capacity of a clothes horse with clothesline loops attached to fold-out support arms can be increased if different distances are provided between the individual loops. Since the side lengths of the clothesline loops become smaller from top to bottom, smaller items of laundry and the like inevitably become on these loops. hung up. This then allows the spacing of the clothesline loops to be reduced in this area, as a result of which the overall length of the clotheslines is correspondingly increased and the operation of the lower loops is nevertheless possible without hindrance.
  • the clothes horse shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a column 1 supported vertically on the floor.
  • the foot of the column 1 is not shown, but it can be designed as a tube end with which the column can be inserted into the opening of a ground sleeve or a stand tube or is provided with a foot with which the screen can be set up at any point.
  • a head piece 3 is attached to which four holding arms 5 are articulated.
  • the free ends 6 of the holding arms 5 are articulated to support arms 7.
  • the support arms 7 are articulated at their inner end 8 in a guide sleeve 10.
  • the holding arms 5 are articulated approximately in the middle of the inner end 8 and the outer end 9 of the support arms 7 in the central region thereof.
  • the guide sleeve 10 can be fixed to the column 1 with a lock 12. In the operating position of the clothes horse shown in FIG. 1, the support arms 7 protrude obliquely upwards, wherein they are supported on the guide sleeve 10 and held in position by the holding arms 5.
  • the guide sleeve 10 can be loosened so that it slides downward and the support arms 7 and the holding arms 5 rest against the column 1.
  • the support arms 7 are carriers of clothes lines 15 which are fastened to the support arms 7 in the form of square loops 16.
  • FIG. 2 From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the distance 17 between two clothesline loops 16 is evenly smaller in the direction of the lower, inner loops.
  • the decreasing distances 17 can also be seen in FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 The same picture can also be seen from FIG. 3, in which only the clothesline loops 16 are shown with a decreasing distance 17.
  • FIG. 16 Another arrangement of the clothesline loops 16 is shown in FIG.
  • the loops 16 are divided into groups A, B, C, D and E.
  • the distances 17 are the same size within each group, but their distance decreases with the further internal groups, but remains the same size within a group.
  • the advantage of this arrangement of the clothesline loops 16 shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is that the overall available clothesline length can be increased noticeably. Assuming a normal size laundry umbrella, it has a total washing line length of about sixty meters. By introducing variable distances between the clothesline loops 16, a total clothesline length of about seventy meters, that is, with the same dimensions of the clothes horse. H. an increase in this length of almost 20% can be achieved. There is practically no disadvantage here. For hanging large items of laundry, the outer, upper loops 16 are available with the usual loop spacing, while 16 smaller items of laundry can be hung on the lower, inner loops without being more hindered thereby.
