Es sind Waschmaschinen bekannt, bei denen die Programmeingabe und die Programmsteuerung nach dem vorstehend beschriebenen Prinzip ausgebildet sind (DE-A-35 42 503). Diese in der Praxis realisierten Anordnungen zur Programmeingabe und Programmsteuerung von Waschmaschinen besitzen den Vorteil, daß für die Anwahl eines durchzuführenden Waschprogrammes nur wenige Eingabefunktionen ausgeführt werden müssen. Trotzdem wird es von manchen Benutzern noch als nachteilig empfunden, daß bei der Vielzahl der in gewünschter Weise angebotenen Zusatzfunktionen, wie Sparprogramme, Schongangprogramme und dgl., doch noch eine ganze Reihe von Einstellungen vorgenommen werden müssen.Washing machines are known in which the program input and the program control are designed according to the principle described above (DE-A-35 42 503). Die Anwahl wird über die den Drucktastenschaltern (4) zugeordneten Anzeige-LEDs (5) quittiert. In dieser Form bleiben dann die Zusatzfunktionen in dem nichtflüchtigen Speicher (8) erhalten und werden bei jedem neuen Programmstart immer wieder automatisch für das jeweils ausgewählte Hauptprogramm aktiviert. Dadurch benötigt der Benutzer nur noch eine einzige Einstellung am Drehwahlschalter (3). Das jeweils dazu ablaufende Zusatzprogramm bekommt er durch die Anzeige-LEDs (5) zur Kontrolle angezeigt. Sollte er einmal die Zusatzfunktionen verändern wollen, kann er durch Betätigung des jeweiligen Drucktastenschalters (4) die Funktion aufheben bzw. wieder neu setzen oder über die Löschtaste (10) die vorgewählten Zusatzfunktionen insgesamt löschen und eine neue Auswahl vornehmen. Natürlich wäre es hier auch alternativ möglich, immer nur vorbestimmte Zusatzfunktionen automatisch zu aktivieren, während dann noch weitere Varianten zuwählbar bleiben.

Claims (5)

1. Method of inputting and controlling programs for domestic appliances, such as washing machines and dishwashers, having a program inputting means, whereby a selectable main program is adjustable by means of a rotatable selector switch and further additional functions are adjustable by means of push-button switches, and having a microcomputer control, by means of which the programmed operation of the machine is controlled, characterised in that the push-button switches (4) for the additional functions are non-locking push-button switches, in that the input commands of the push-button switches (4), which are executed for each respective selected operating program, are fed to a non-volatile memory (8) of the microcomputer control (7) and stored there, and in that the additional functions, stored thus in the non-volatile memory (8), are automatically activated with each new start of the same operating program.
2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that display elements (5), which display the activated additional functions, are associated with the non-locking push-buttons (4).
3. Method according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the activated additional functions are collectively cancellable by reactivation of the push-button switches (4) or via a cancel button.
4. Arrangement for accomplishing the method according to the preamble of claim 1, characterised in that the push-button switches (4) are non-locking push-button switches, in that the control lines (6) of the push-button switches (4) communicate with a non-volatile memory (8) of the microcomputer control (7), and in that LED displays for displaying the activated additional functions are associated with each of the non-locking push-button switches (4).
5. Arrangement according to claim 4, characterised in that a cancel button (10) is associated with the microcomputer control (7).
