Definitions
- the invention relates to a transformer, in particular a toroidal transformer, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Toroidal transformers are known in which a primary winding covering a first region of the core and a secondary winding covering a further region of the core are provided on the annular core.
- a problem here is that the primary winding and the secondary winding can be shifted at least partially in the circumferential direction of the core, in particular in the region of their ends, so that the necessary insulation between the windings is no longer provided.
- Even if the distance between the adjacent ends of the primary winding and the secondary winding is chosen to be relatively large, there is a risk that if several layers are applied, the secondary winding will jump onto the primary winding.
- the air and creepage distances between the primary winding and the secondary winding are relatively small. For insulation reasons, the paths between the primary winding and the secondary winding should be as large and isolating as possible.
- the object of the invention is to improve a transformer, in particular a toroidal core transformer, of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the windings are insulated particularly well with respect to the core of the transformer.
- the main advantage of the invention is that the separating webs provided on the core always separate the adjacent winding ends regardless of how many winding layers the windings comprise.
- the adjacent winding ends can advantageously be very close to one another.
- the separating webs can be designed so that they have guide channels for the winding ends to be executed in their area, so that sufficient automatic isolation of these winding ends from one another is also ensured.
- the insulating coating of the core surface or the winding surfaces of the windings located on the core provided in the invention can be done particularly simply by dusting the core and, if appropriate, the winding surfaces with a powder as the starting material for the coating, from which the heat is applied Coating is made.
- the thickness of the coating can be determined by the choice of temperature, the duration of heating and the amount of powder.
- an insulating coating applied from a powdery plastic material on the surface of the core insulates the windings from the core and fixes the separating webs to the core while when such a coating is applied to the surfaces of the windings located on the core, it can advantageously be achieved that displacement of the windings by external forces, such as are brought about, for example, when winding up known insulating tapes, is prevented.
- the insulating coating melted from the powdery starting material penetrates into the free spaces between the individual adjacent turns of the windings during the melting process, so that the individual turns are fixed in their respective positions after the coating has hardened.
- a major advantage of the invention is that the dividers are extremely easy to manufacture and mount on the core. In addition, these separators make it easier to guide and fix the corresponding winding ends when manufacturing the transformers.
- FIG. 1a shows a schematic illustration of the toroidal core 1 for producing the present toroidal core transformer.
- this toroidal core 1 is wound in a manner known per se from a sheet metal strip into an annular core package.
- Two web parts 2 are preferably placed on the toroidal core 1 in the manner shown in FIG. 1b.
- these web parts 2 divide the ring core 1 into two halves of the same size.
- the web parts 2 consist in the manner shown in FIG. 1c of ring-shaped parts 3 whose openings are adapted to the shape of the ring core 1 and which have a slot 4 so that the ring-shaped part 3 can be bent up for placement on the ring core 1.
- the annular parts 3 are preferably made of a rubber material.
- Fig. 1c shows a rectangular web part 2, which is placed on a rectangular ring core 1.
- Fig. 1d shows an annular Web part 2, which is placed on an annular core 1 with a circular cross section. 1e and 1f, the web parts 2 can also consist of U-shaped parts 3 ', the legs 3 ⁇ are connected at one end by a cross part 3 ′′′ such that between the legs 3 ⁇ and the cross part 3 ′′′ a space is formed, the inner wall of which lies at least partially on the outer circumference of the toroidal core 1.
- 1f which shows a toroidal core 1 with a circular cross section
- the legs 3 ⁇ and the cross member 3 ′′′ lie approximately on one half of the circular cross section of the toroidal core 1.
- 1e which shows a ring core 1 with a rectangular cross section
- the legs 3 ⁇ and the cross member 3 ′′′ are on three sides of the rectangular cross section of the ring core 1, with at least the free end of a leg 3 ⁇
- a nose 3 ⁇ ⁇ can have, which can overlap the free side of the rectangular ring core 1 for the purpose of attachment.
- Such a nose 3 ⁇ ⁇ can also be formed on at least one free end region of a leg 3 ⁇ of the web part 2 of FIG.
- this nose 3 ⁇ ⁇ running inwards in the direction of the opposite leg part 3 ⁇ , which is the circular cross section of the toroidal core 1 is held between the interior of the web part 2, which is enclosed by the nose 3 ⁇ ⁇ , the leg 3 dem and the transverse part 3′′′.
- the in 1e and 1f illustrated embodiments of the web parts 2 made of a suitable plastic material, which is designed so that the leg parts 3 ⁇ can be spread apart for mounting the web parts 2 on the toroidal core 1 and after mounting in the positions shown in FIG. Compress 1e and 1f.
- the web parts 2 can also have any other shapes, it being only important that they are clamped on the circumference of the ring core 1 and that they enclose a substantial part of the outer circumference of the ring core 1.
- the insulating coating on the outer circumference of the ring core 1 is preferably produced in that the ring core 1 provided with the web parts 2 is dusted with a powder from which the coating is produced by the action of heat.
- the powder is dusted in such a way that the entire surface of the toroidal core 1 is evenly provided with a dense powder layer.
- This powder layer is then melted by heat treatment, the insulating coating 5 being formed after subsequent curing.
- the thickness thereof can be determined by a suitable choice of the temperature during the heat treatment, the duration of the treatment and the amount of material (FIG. 3).
- a major advantage is that when the insulating coating 5 is produced, the web parts 2 are also automatically fixed on the toroidal core 1 by the coating 5 lying on the side. Since the material of the web parts 2, preferably the rubber material, is not itself heated when exposed to heat, the already insulating web parts 2 are not coated.
- the toroidal core 1 can now be wound so that the toroidal core transformer shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 is formed, in which the primary winding 6 arranged on one half is separated by the web parts 2 from the secondary winding 7 arranged on the other half.
- the ends 6 'and 6 ⁇ of the primary winding and the ends 7' and 7 ⁇ of the secondary winding are preferably guided by guides 8 which are located on opposite sides of the outer ends of the web parts 2.
- the guides 8 are in the form of small tubes which are fastened to the web part 2 according to FIG. 4b or are produced in one piece with the web part 2. It is also conceivable to provide the area of the outer end of the web part 2 in the manner shown in FIG.
- a further insulating layer 10 can be applied to the outside of the primary winding 6 and the secondary winding 7 to insulate the primary winding 6 and / or the secondary winding 7 from the outside.
- This insulating layer 10 is preferably produced in the same way as has already been explained in connection with the insulating coating 5.
- the material of the insulating layer 10 penetrates into the free spaces between the turns of the primary winding 6 and the secondary winding 7 when the powder is heated and ensures that the turns are fixed during curing , so that they can no longer be moved by the action of external forces.
- the outer ends of the windings 6 ', 6 ⁇ , 7' and 7 gef are further fixed (Fig. 2.3).
- the insulating coating 5 and possibly the insulating layer 10 are preferably produced from an epoxy resin powder.
- tubes or bores of the guides 8 can also run in directions other than the tangential directions shown.
- these tubes or bores can also run radially.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a transformer, in particular a toroidal transformer, according to the preamble of
Toroidal transformers are known in which a primary winding covering a first region of the core and a secondary winding covering a further region of the core are provided on the annular core. A problem here is that the primary winding and the secondary winding can be shifted at least partially in the circumferential direction of the core, in particular in the region of their ends, so that the necessary insulation between the windings is no longer provided. Even if the distance between the adjacent ends of the primary winding and the secondary winding is chosen to be relatively large, there is a risk that if several layers are applied, the secondary winding will jump onto the primary winding. Generally speaking, there is a risk in the known toroidal transformers that the air and creepage distances between the primary winding and the secondary winding are relatively small. For insulation reasons, the paths between the primary winding and the secondary winding should be as large and isolating as possible.
The object of the invention is to improve a transformer, in particular a toroidal core transformer, of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the windings are insulated particularly well with respect to the core of the transformer.
This object is achieved by a transformer, as already mentioned at the outset, in particular a toroidal core transformer, which is characterized by the features specified in the characterizing part of
The main advantage of the invention is that the separating webs provided on the core always separate the adjacent winding ends regardless of how many winding layers the windings comprise.
As a result of the provision of the separating webs, the adjacent winding ends can advantageously be very close to one another.
Another important advantage of the invention is that the separating webs can be designed so that they have guide channels for the winding ends to be executed in their area, so that sufficient automatic isolation of these winding ends from one another is also ensured.
The insulating coating of the core surface or the winding surfaces of the windings located on the core provided in the invention can be done particularly simply by dusting the core and, if appropriate, the winding surfaces with a powder as the starting material for the coating, from which the heat is applied Coating is made. The thickness of the coating can be determined by the choice of temperature, the duration of heating and the amount of powder.
The provision of an insulating coating applied from a powdery plastic material on the surface of the core insulates the windings from the core and fixes the separating webs to the core while when such a coating is applied to the surfaces of the windings located on the core, it can advantageously be achieved that displacement of the windings by external forces, such as are brought about, for example, when winding up known insulating tapes, is prevented. Advantageously, the insulating coating melted from the powdery starting material penetrates into the free spaces between the individual adjacent turns of the windings during the melting process, so that the individual turns are fixed in their respective positions after the coating has hardened.
A major advantage of the invention is that the dividers are extremely easy to manufacture and mount on the core. In addition, these separators make it easier to guide and fix the corresponding winding ends when manufacturing the transformers.

According to FIG. 1b, after the
A major advantage is that when the
The
In a further method step, a further insulating
The insulating
It is pointed out that the tubes or bores of the
