In einer Einbauöffnung befestigbare Lampenfassung für Kraftfahrzeuge mit einem im wesentlichen topfförmigen Gehäuse, in dem eine Lampenhalterung sowie Erdungs- und Sockelkontakt angeordnet sind und das Anschlußteile für elektrische Anschluß­mittel aufweist, wobei das Gehäuse außenseitig Ver­bindungsmittel zur Befestigung des Gehäuses in der stutzenförmigen Einbauöffnung und ein Dichtmittel aufweist, das zwischen einem als Anschlag gegen die Stutzenmündung anlegbaren Flansch des Gehäuses und einer Rippe des Gehäuses gehaltert ist und sich radial zwischen Stutzenwandung und Gehäusewandung abstützt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mündung des Gehäuses (4) über einen gehäuseeigenen Venti­lationskanal (12) mit einem bodenseitig des Gehäuses (4) angeordneten gehäuseeigenen Ringkanal (13) ver­bunden ist, der gehäuseeigene Belüftungs- und Wasserablauföffnungen (14,15) aufweist, die in Frei­räume zwischen Flansch (10) und Dichtmittel (9) münden.1.
