Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner with a vacuum cleaner housing which has a dust chamber with a dust bag arranged therein and a motor chamber in communication with the dust chamber with a blower and a motor for driving the blower, the motor being enclosed by a hood attached to the blower is.
A vacuum cleaner according to the preamble is known from DE-PS 34 43 837, in which on the outside of the hood enclosing the engine is a circumferential frame surrounding the air outlet openings, into which a filter with an airtight seal can be inserted and replaced. The air drawn in by the engine blower block passes through the air outlet openings of the hood, passes through the filter and enters a space which is essentially delimited by the outer wall of the housing on the one hand and the wall of the hood on the other hand and which it leaves to the outside through the air outlet openings in the outer wall of the housing. The space between the outer wall of the housing and the hood serves to expand the air and thus reduce noise during the operation of the vacuum cleaner. However, it has proven to be a disadvantage that the filter arranged in the area of the air outlet openings of the hood increases the pressure in the hood with increasing contamination of the filter in such a way that there is an undesirably high level of noise in the operation of the vacuum cleaner. Furthermore, due to the way the hood is placed on the engine blower block, the vibrations are disadvantageously transmitted.
The present invention has for its object to propose a vacuum cleaner that has a pleasantly reduced noise level in operation while maintaining good suction and filtering performance.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of the main claim. Further advantageous embodiments result from the subclaims.
According to the invention, a chamber system is arranged outside the hood enclosing the engine, through which the air is guided before it emerges from the housing. At least one of the chambers has webs extending in the direction of flow, so that air channels are formed, as a result of which the air flow is divided.
In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the air outlet openings of the hood enclosing the engine are arranged at a right angle to the air blasting direction of the engine blower block. This has the advantage that the air is forced to change speed at the same time as the direction changes.
In order to prevent the undesired transmission of the vibrations of the engine blower block, it is proposed to insert the engine blower block into the housing with a vibration-damping profile strip. At the point of separation between the motor and the blower, a further vibration-damping profile strip is arranged, on which the hood enclosing the motor is placed airtight. A vibration-damping system with which the transmission of vibrations is largely reduced is perfected by means of a vibration-damping holding block arranged between the engine and the hood on the end of the motor opposite the blower.
In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, a cylinder chamber is arranged around the hood enclosing the engine, which forms a space surrounding the hood. The air outlet openings of this cylinder chamber are arranged in close proximity to the air outlet openings of the hood, but there is an airtight partition between the two air outlet openings, so that those from the hood escaping air must flow around the hood through the entire cylinder chamber until it leaves the cylinder chamber. In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention it is proposed that an outer delimiting wall of the cylinder chamber is arranged substantially flat and at a short distance from the air outlet openings of the hood enclosing the engine, which has the advantage that the air emerging from the hood in turn has a forced direction - and changes speed.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, at least one web running in the flow direction is arranged in the cylinder chamber, so that the space surrounding the hood is divided into air duct channels.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that the air, after it has left the cylinder chamber through its air outlet openings, enters a flat chamber which extends oblong essentially parallel to the engine fan axis and perpendicular to the air flow direction. Part of the outer delimiting wall of the flat chamber is therefore flat and at a short distance from the air outlet openings of the cylinder chamber, so that in turn a change in direction and speed of the air flow is forced.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, there is at least one web running in the flow direction in the flat chamber, which divides the flat chamber into air guide channels. In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, an expansion chamber is arranged behind the air outlet openings of the flat chamber, the central axis of which is advantageously perpendicular to the central axis of the flat chamber, and which extends transversely in front of the flat chamber, so that in turn a change in direction and speed is forced on the air. A the ex In an advantageous embodiment, the wall delimiting the expansion chamber is formed by an outer wall of the housing in which there are air outlet openings. In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, a microfilter, which is fastened in a manner known per se, is arranged here, through which the air leaves the vacuum cleaner. The microfilter arranged at this location results in a further considerable noise reduction. Measurements have shown that the measure can achieve a further noise reduction of up to 3 dB.
In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, it is proposed that the air channel-forming webs in the chambers are foam profiles, the surfaces of which are considerably rougher than the walls delimiting the chambers. It is thus achieved that the air has speed differences across its flow cross section, which on the one hand reduces power losses and on the other hand contributes to further noise insulation.
Dabei zeigen:

- Fig. 2 eine Schnittdarstellung gem. Fig. 1 an der Stelle A-B, und
- Figure 1 is a sectional view through a preferred embodiment of a vacuum cleaner according to the invention.
- Fig. 2 is a sectional view acc. Fig. 1 at the point AB, and
- Fig. 3 is a schematic sectional view of Fig. 1 at the point CC in plan view.
In Fig. 1 a part of the vacuum cleaner with the
In Fig. 2 it can be seen how the air outlet openings 7a of the
In FIG. 3,
