Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a core drilling tool for sinking bores in underground rock formations while extracting drilling cores as rock samples according to the preamble of
In known methods of this type (US-A-4 518 050, DE-C-37 01 914), which are aimed at an optimal core gain, the main borehole sections follow in their course the core borehole sections predrilled as pilot holes, the respective core borehole section being marked by the as Rotary drill bit trained main drilling tool is drilled to the nominal diameter of the main drilling tool. If the main drilling tool has reached the bottom of the core borehole section in the course of this boring, the main drilling tool is shut down and a next core borehole section is drilled with core extraction, the length of the core borehole section being based on the possibilities of the tool construction used in each case and, in the case of training, in accordance with DE-U -88 10 844 can be very substantial.
The core drilling unit is guided coaxially in the outer housing of the core drilling tool by means of an anti-rotation and guiding device, with the result that when drilling a core the core tube of the core drilling unit coaxially emerges from the outer housing. The outer housing of the core drilling tool accordingly specifies the feed direction for the core tube.

The invention achieves this object by means of a method according to
The invention provides a directional core drilling method and a directional core drilling tool, by means of which a predetermined directional course can be predetermined for a core hole, which specifically deviates from a generally approximately perpendicular course of conventional core holes.
The directional drilling method which can be carried out with the core drilling tool according to FIGS. 4 and 5 corresponds to that described in connection with the core drilling tool according to FIGS. 1 to 3.
