Claims (6)

  1. An apparatus for feeding single sheets (1) in office machines (2), in particular in matrix printers, comprising a stack of sheets (3) and fixed take-off rollers (4) lying thereon which are driven in rotation, with one single sheet (1) being able to be taken off via separating corners (5) of a paper-holding frame (6) and the stack of sheets (3) lying between lateral paper guidance frames (7a, 7b) and on a sprung pivoting plate (8),
    characterised in that the pivoting plate (8) or a pair (8a, 8b) of pivoting plates can be pivoted into a first spaced position (9) closer to the take-off rollers (4) or into a more distant, second spaced position (10), and can be locked in or unlocked from the second spaced position (10) and that when the second spaced position (10) is set an additional paper cassette (12), consisting of a container (13) with a resilient insert base (14) can be introduced, lying against the pivoting plate (8; 8a, 8b).
  2. An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterised in that a two-armed catch lever (15) engages on the pivoting plate (8), which lever is mounted to pivot on the apparatus frame (2a) and which can snap onto or be unlocked from the apparatus frame (2a) with its second lever arm (16).
  3. An apparatus according to Claims 1 and 2, characterised in that a pivoting shaft (21) which extends across the width (20) of the two lateral paper guidance frames (7a, 7b) lies against the underside (8c) of the pivoting plate, on the ends of which shaft cog wheels (23) are arranged so as to be resistant to rotation, each of which cog wheels engages in toothed racks (24) which run in an arcuate shape dimensioned so as to correspond to the pivot radius (25) of the catch lever (15), which racks are associated with the lateral paper guidance frames (7a, 7b), with one cylindrical end (21a) of the pivot shaft being guided in an arcuate longitudinal guide (26) of the catch lever (15) in each case.
  4. An apparatus according to one or more of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the additional paper cassette (12) has a resilient insert base (14) and individual separating corners (30) are located on the cassette frame (29), and that the resilient insert base (14) can be locked or unlocked.
  5. An apparatus according to one or more of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that lateral guides (31) are provided on the additional paper cassette (12), which guides fix the inserted paper cassette (12) at the same distance at which the separating corners (5) of the paper guidance frame (7a, 7b) are fixed to the periphery of the fixed take-off rollers (4).
  6. An apparatus according to one or more of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the resilient insert base (14) of the additional paper cassette (12) is held in a filling position by means of a locking member (37) and that when the additional paper cassette (12) is inserted the locking member (37) can be unlocked, so that the insert base (14) with the stack of sheets (3) lies unlocked against the separating rollers (4) and that the full pressure of the sprung pivoting plate (8) or of the pair of pivoting plates (8a, 8b) can be transferred to the take-off rollers (4) by unlocking the catch lever (15).
