Abstract

A time switch is provided for operating a load (13) through an output control means (17) normally in accordance with a program preliminarily set by a program control means (14) and, as desired, setting a period for which the load (13) is to be placed either in ON or OFF state by a setting means (11) independent of the program control, during which period a timer means (16) counts the time of the set period as the period-setting is detected and provides an output to the output control means (17) for maintaining the ON or OFF state of the load (13), and upon termination of which period the output of the program control means (17) is provided again to the output control means (17), whereby the time switch can be turned ON or OFF temporarily for the desired period of time with a simpler operation.
