Abstract

The multiple terminal block (1) has wire trapping spaces (2) which adjoin at each end face and serve for lateral passing through of conductors (3) or wire bundles (3'). These wire trapping spaces (2) form a pivot point for the terminal block (1) which is rotatable in its longitudinal extent, the wire bundle (3') acting as a pivot axis in the wire trapping space (2). In this way, such terminal blocks can be moved easily on the distribution frame between assembly position and readily accessible manipulation position without substantially stressing the conductors and their connection points. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a multiple terminal block for its arrangement on parallel vertical supports of low-voltage distribution systems.

Multiple terminal strips of the aforementioned type are usually numerous and in close arrangement on the vertical supports of the frame systems of telephone systems and. Like. And serve the connection of the incoming and outgoing conductor.

The problem is the inaccessibility of the connection strips arranged on the frame, to which a large number, usually lead to bundles of wires, which remove or. Difficult to reassemble the terminal strips and which must be installed with large reserves in order to be able to achieve a sufficiently large working distance with the terminal strips when they are used for changes, additions, checks and the like. Like. is to work. For this purpose, the connection strips are removed from the frame, pulled far forward while stretching the wire bundle and rotated about their longitudinal axis in order to bring the rear connection means forward and to make them accessible. The wire bundles and individual conductors are exposed to uncontrolled movements and loads and assume undefined positions, in particular when resetting the relevant terminal strips, which has a negative effect on the connection points.

The object of the invention is now to design the multiple terminal strips for their arrangement on parallel vertical supports of low-voltage distribution systems in such a way that they can be easily moved between the mounting position and the easily accessible manipulation position without significant stress on the conductors and their connection points.

This is achieved according to the invention in that a wire trap space for the lateral passage of conductors or. Bundles of wires closes which wire-catching space forms a fulcrum for the terminal strip, which can be rotated in its longitudinal extent, and in which the wire bundle acts as an axis of rotation.

Such a terminal strip, which is quasi suspended from the wire bundles, can be easily rotated around the wire bundles that act as axes of rotation, for example, pulled forward from the distribution frame, the wire bundles freely moving in the wire trapping space, so that only the inlet bend of the wire bundles opens or opens somewhat in the wire trapping space closes what is completely uncritical if the arc radius is large enough.

A preferred embodiment of such a terminal strip can then be seen in that tabs flanged on each end face delimit the wire catching space as an outer side wall, the tabs then delimiting a threading slot for the conductors between them.

In addition to a structurally clear design, these measures allow the conductors to be simply inserted into the wire catching space.

It is further provided that the inner side walls of the wire trapping spaces formed on the end face of the terminal strip are at least partially elastic tongues that interact with recesses in the vertical supports of the distributor certain pawls, the terminal strips can be snap-fitted or be dismantled.

An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.

Show it:
  • 1 is a diagrammatic illustration in partial view of a vertical support of a low-current distribution system with some multiple connection strips according to the invention in different bearings for the support; and
  • Fig. 2 in a diagram-like representation a partial view of a terminal block according to FIG. 1, on a larger scale.

Fig. 1 shows a vertical support 10 with side boards 11 and 11 'of a frame of a low-voltage distribution system, not shown, in particular telephone system, to which vertical support 10 a plurality of multiple terminal strips 1 are arranged one above the other, in a known manner incoming and outgoing conductors 3 with each other connect to.

Such distribution racks are known per se and require them therefore no further explanation here.

The problem here is concerned with the specific design of the connection strips 1, in order to easily connect them between the mounting position shown in FIG. 1a and an easily accessible one shown in FIG. Fig. 1c manipulation position to be able to move without noticeably stressing the conductor 3 and their connection points on the terminal strips.

For this purpose, as also shown in FIG. 2 in particular, each end face of a terminal block 1 has an adjoining wire trap space 2, which leads the conductors 3 and. a wire bundle 3 'is used, this wire catcher 2 forms a fulcrum for the rotatable in its longitudinal extension terminal block 1 and the wire bundle 3' in the wire catcher 2 acts as an axis of rotation.

As mentioned at the beginning, the terminal block 1 is first detached from the vertical support 10 (FIG. 1a), then pulled forward (FIG. 1b) and then rotated to the rear connections of the terminal block or. to make the overvoltage protection cassette 12 accessible. Here, the wire bundle 3 'moves freely in the wire catcher 2, so that only the inlet bend 3˝ of the wire bundle 3' opens or closes something, which does not affect the conductors with a sufficiently large arc radius connections affects.

The wire trap space 2 is delimited here on the end face of the terminal block 1 by an inner side wall 6 and by an outer side wall 4, 4 ', the latter by flanged or. molded tabs is formed. These tabs 4 and 4 'also limit a threading slot 5 for the conductor 3rd

In order to also be able to mount the terminal strips 1 on the vertical support 10 using the snap-lock method (FIG. 1a), each inner side wall 6 on the terminal strip 1 forms an elastic tongue which can be pushed away by hand and which is designed to interact with recesses 8 in the side plates 11 and 11, respectively. 11 'of the vertical support 10 certain pawl 7 carries.

From the above and from the drawing, there is thus a distribution system, the multiple connection strips of which, compared to the known state of the art, can be moved in the simplest way between the mounting position and the easily accessible manipulation position without stressing the conductor and its connections, which, in addition to high functional reliability, is now only possible short assembly time guaranteed.
