Description

The invention relates to a refrigerated container or refrigerated container from a steel frame, outer wall panels, insulation, an inner paneling from sheet metal plates and a floor. Refrigerated containers are used as ISO-standardized containers. Refrigerated bodies are insulated containers that are usually connected to transport vehicles such as trucks. For the sake of simplicity, the refrigerated containers and the refrigerated bodies are referred to below as containers. In the case of containers, the interior area above the floor is particularly at risk of impact from loading tools such as forklifts. Ramming bumpers have therefore been retrofitted above the floor area, especially on the side walls, as plastic, sheet metal or wooden strips on the inside planking of the finished wall by gluing, riveting or welding. In addition to the fact that this installation of the bumper strips is complex and the already narrow interior of the container is further restricted by them, there are gaps between the bumper strip and the container wall and at the assembly points in the subsequently attached bumper strips, which become a breeding ground for microorganisms by holding contaminants can, inevitable. Because of the very large, stable design of the ramming bumper strips, the displacements relative to the inner container wall in the event of loads caused by impacts cannot be reliably covered.

Refrigerated containers made of a steel frame, outer wall panels, insulation, inner paneling made of sheet metal plates and a floor corresponding to the type mentioned at the outset are known from GB-A-2 019 363. The sheet metal panels, which extend undivided over the height of the inner paneling, are angled at their upper and lower edges at an acute angle to spreading springs which engage in assigned grooves in the ceiling area and in the floor area (FIG. 1). The thin-walled sheet metal plates are at risk of impact from loading tools. Subsequent installation of ramming bumpers on the interior paneling of the finished wall, as discussed above, has the disadvantages mentioned there. According to a modified embodiment of this known refrigerated container (Fig.1a), the inner paneling can consist of a composite panel, which is formed by an inner thin sheet metal plate and a relatively thick plywood panel bonded to it, the plywood panel increasing the weight but also reducing the risk of impact on the inner paneling results.

The object of the invention is to develop a container of the type mentioned above with a stable, impact-resistant ram bumper, which connects smoothly and without gaps to the inner paneling.

This object is achieved in that the lower region of the inner cladding is designed as a dimensionally stable ram bumper, which has T-shaped lugs which extend in a horizontal direction over the entire length of the ram bumper and the insulation, and that the ram bumper is firmly connected to the outer wall panel via the insulation.

Because the ram bumper forms the lower part of the inner paneling of the container, the inner wall can also be smooth, gap-free and flush with the inner wall in this area, i.e. be designed without disturbing protrusion of the ram bumper.

Compared to flat bumper strips subsequently applied to the sheet metal panels of the inner paneling, the ramming bumper strip of the invention has improved intrinsic stability. The horizontally elongated approaches, which are embedded in the insulation in a form-fitting manner and are T-shaped in vertical cross section, clamp the ramming bumper with the insulation, which in turn firmly connects the ramming bumper to the outer wall. Overall, there is a sandwich-like, stable side wall section with high bending and buckling stiffness of the ram bumper above the base construction of the container, so that these local loads from hard impacts with the edges and corners of boxes or the fork of the loading truck reliably withstand.

In particular, the invention can be advantageously configured as follows.

Polyurethane foam is suitable for insulation because of its high thermal insulation and good strength.

The design of the ram bumper as part of the inner paneling and the firm connection with the insulation achieve such great stability that a secure connection with the adjacent floor profile and the inner paneling is possible via welding, gluing or riveting. Due to the stability, the gaps and assembly points can also be securely sealed, e.g. through silicone rubber.

The connections are particularly advantageously designed as tongue-and-groove connections. The tongue and groove connection is superior to the above-mentioned connections in terms of freedom from gaps even before sealing and offers assembly advantages.

The tongue and groove connection of the ram bumper with the floor profile advantageously consists in a pocket-shaped end member of the floor profile, which is open at the top and a tip end of the ram bumper which plunges into it. For the gap-free connection to the interior of the container, the two upper ends of the legs of the end link lie against the tip end. The locking and the secure system are promoted in that the upper edge of the inner leg of the end member and the lower edge of the tip end are provided with locking undercuts.

If the inner, upper end of the end link is connected to the ram bumper with a continuous weld seam, a closed, very stable floor pan with high edges is created.

Exact compliance with the height of the ram bumper, based on the floor profile during assembly, is facilitated by the fact that the upper edge of the outer leg of the end member lies against the lowest T-shaped extension of the ram bumper.

The insertion of the ram bumper into the floor pocket can be facilitated by the fact that the bottom T-shaped extension of the skirting has an insertion nose that is inclined outwards.

The connection of the ramming bumper with the sheet metal panels of the inner paneling is advantageously carried out as a pocket on the ramming bumper with a vertical opening at its upper end and as an end of the sheet metal plates which is bent at an acute angle and plunges into the pocket. The sheet metal plates can thus be inserted slightly obliquely outwards into the pocket and, when straightening, lie tightly and without gaps at the outer upper end of the opening and on the inside of the container, lower end of the opening.

To seal against the leakage of the foam of the insulation when foaming the container, which has already been assembled with regard to the outer and inner cladding, the acute-angled end of the inner cladding is pressed into an insulating compound on the bottom of the bag.

When foaming, the foam also enters the pocket and increases the strength of the tongue and groove connection, even against local impacts after curing. In order to facilitate the access of the foam into the interior of the bag, the bag can have recesses. These can be attached in the surface of the pocket facing the outside of the container or in the surface facing upwards.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to a drawing.

The drawing shows the lower left corner of a container in cross section. The container consists of a frame, of which the lower left-hand side member 1 can be seen in the detail of the drawing, outer wall panels 2, insulation 3, an inner paneling made of sheet metal panels 4 and a floor 5. A lower region of the inner paneling is designed as a dimensionally stable ramming bar 6. The inner paneling, the insulation 3 and the outer wall panels 2 are firmly connected. The ram bumper 6 has in the insulation 3 extending, T-shaped lugs 7 which extend in the horizontal direction over the entire length of the ram bumper 6. The ram bumper 6 is connected to each other with the floor 5, which is designed as a profile floor, and with the sheet metal plates 4 of the inner paneling by tongue and groove connections. In addition, the end of the floor profile is at the lower connection 5 is designed as a pocket-shaped end member 8, which is open at the top and comprises a tip end 9 that exchanges into it. The two upper parts 10 and 11 of the end member 8 abut the spike end 9 on both sides and the upper, inner end 10 of the end member 8 and the lower end 12 of the spike end are provided with mutually facing anchoring undercuts 13, 14. The upper end 11 of the end member 8 abuts the lowermost T-shaped extension 15. This is provided with an insertion nose 16 which is inclined downwards outwards. The connection of the ram bumper 8 with the sheet metal plates 4 of the inner paneling is carried out as a pocket 17 at the upper end of the ram bumper bar with a vertical opening 18 at its upper end, into which the sheet metal plates 4 plunge with an end 19 bent at an acute angle. This is pressed into a sealant 20 at the bottom of the pocket 17.

The ram bumper 6 and the sheet metal plates 4 of the inner paneling are aligned so that no additional space is required for the ram bumper 6. The ram bumper 6 is very stable due to the T-shaped lugs 7, which cling to the insulation and through the connection of the insulation 3 with the support 1 and the outer wall panels 2, and in particular has good buckling resistance. The smooth, gap-free tongue and groove connections of the ram bumper 6 with the sheet metal plates 4 of the inner paneling are sealed with silicone rubber seams 21. The continuous weld 22 connects the floor profile 5 with the ram bumper 6 to form a closed, stable floor pan with high edges.

Figure imgb0001
When assembling the container, after installing the frame with the outer wall panels 2 and the bottom 5, the ram bumper 6 can be inserted into the end member 8 with its pointed end 9, the insertion nose 16 at the lowest T-shaped extension 15 being supportive during insertion and the upper outer one End 11 of the end member 8 causes the exact position of the ram bumper 6 with respect to the height by contacting the lowest T-shaped extension 15. Then the sheet metal plate 4 can be inserted obliquely into the pocket 17 and aligned straight. Then the gap is foamed.
