Description

The invention relates to a safety ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1 or 2.

Such a ski binding is already known and is described in AT-PS 387 151. With this ski binding, the compensation of the play between the binding body and the guide rail is achieved in that the pressure spring is bent upwards when the binding body is locked and with this bulge presses the base plate of the binding upwards. As a result, the pressure spring also fulfills the function of compensating for play, so that part of the force is ineffective when the pressure is applied even when the spring is bent. It is therefore necessary to dimension the pressure spring more strongly in order to achieve the effect required for the pressing. This also increases the effort required for the adjustment.

The object of the invention is to eliminate this disadvantage and to create a ski binding in which compensation for the play between the binding body and the guide rail is effected independently of the pressure spring.

Starting from a ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1 or 2, this object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of one of these claims. Characterized in that the longitudinal ribs are resilient or that curved leaf springs are attached to their underside, the pressure exerted on the binding housing or on the base plate and thus the play compensation is always kept constant regardless of the pressure spring.

The subject matter of claim 3 improves the flow of force from the resilient sections or the leaf springs into the binding body.

The measures of claims 4 and 5 ensure play-free guidance of the binding body also transversely to the longitudinal axis of the ski and parallel to the top of the ski.

The feature of claim 6 simplifies the manufacture of the spring cage.

Fig. 5 zeigt eine zweite Ausführungsform in einer Darstellung ähnlich Fig. 3.Further details of the invention will be described with reference to the drawing. 1 to 4 show a first embodiment of a safety ski binding according to the invention, FIG. 1 being a partially sectioned side view and FIG. 2 being a cross section along the line II-II in FIG. 1. Fig. 3 is a vertical longitudinal central section along the line III - III in Fig. 4 and Fig. 4 is a plan view of the spring cage. FIG. 5 shows a second embodiment in a representation similar to FIG. 3.

The safety ski binding shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has an upwardly open, U-shaped guide rail 2, which is fastened with its web 2a on the top of a ski 1 by means of screws, not shown, and on which a binding body 3 with its base plate 3a in Longitudinal direction of the ski 1 is guided. The base plate 3 a can be fixed in a manner known per se for adapting the binding to ski boots of different lengths in the respectively desired position by means of an adjustment catch 4. The two legs 2b of the guide rail 2 carry inwardly projecting flanges 2c. The base plate 3a is provided with lateral guide flanges 3b, which - in the assembled state of the binding body 3, as will be described further - are pressed against the flanges 2c of the guide rail 2.

Fig. 4). The base plate 3 a has two pressure springs 5 accommodated in a spring cage 6 and can be displaced away from the ski boot on the guide rail 2 against the force of these pressure springs 5. The pressure springs 5 are between a shoulder 3c of the base plate 3a and the rear transverse wall 6a of the spring caged 6 clamped. The transverse wall 6a has an upper boundary surface 6h. The spring cage 6 is made of plastic and is formed in one piece. The bottom 6b of the spring cage 6 consists of three parallel longitudinal ribs, namely a central rib 6c and two lateral ribs 6e (see FIG. 4). Recesses 6d extend between the two lateral ribs 6e and the central rib 6c and extend in the longitudinal direction of the ski. The two lateral longitudinal ribs 6e are, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, tapered in a section 6e₁ of their longitudinal extent, convexly curved downward and thus resilient. The transverse wall 6a of the spring cage 6 is raised relative to its longitudinal ribs 6e in two sections 6h₁ and 6h₂, which form the boundary surface 6h. Between the two sections 6h₁ and 6h₂ of the boundary surface 6h, a groove 6i is recessed. A guide rib 3e of the base plate 3a is guided in this groove 6i. In addition, two lateral, approximately T-shaped approaches 6g, each provided with two resilient flanges 6f, are formed on the spring cage 6 symmetrically to the vertical longitudinal center plane.

Fig. 2). Der Federkäfig 6 ist mittels der beiden Flanschen 6f seiner Ansätze 6g an den Schenkeln 2b der Führungsschiene 2 beim Verschieben der Grundplatte 3a gleitend geführt und relativ zur Führungsschiene 2 gleichzeitig zentriertIf you push the base plate 3a of the binding body 3 with its spring cage 6 onto the guide rail 2, the two lateral, downwardly convex resilient ribs 6e of the spring cage are tensioned. As a result, the two sections 6h₁ and 6h₂ of the raised boundary surface 6h of the transverse wall 6a lie against the bottom surface 3d of the base plate 3a and press them up until the guide flanges 3b rest against the flanges 2c of the rail 2 (see FIG. 2). The spring cage 6 is slidably guided by means of the two flanges 6f of its lugs 6g on the legs 2b of the guide rail 2 when the base plate 3a is moved and is centered relative to the guide rail 2 at the same time

Since the base plate 3a - seen from the side - tapers in a wedge shape in the direction of the ski boot, the binding body 3 takes up relative to the guide rail 2 - in the longitudinal direction of the ski considered - a somewhat inclined position.

When the ski boot is inserted, the binding body 3 is pressed upwards by the two pressure springs 5 and downwards at the front. As a result of the inclined front end face of the projection 3c, the resilient ribs 6e are tensioned somewhat more than their pretensioned state. However, the friction caused by this deformation is negligible compared to that caused by the frictional forces during the adjustment of the binding body 3 during ski deflections, so that a compensation of ski deflections can take place practically without negative influences on the two resilient ribs 6e.

In the second embodiment of the invention shown in Fig. 5, the underside of the spring cage 6 is flat, and the two lateral longitudinal ribs 6e each carry a downwardly convex leaf spring 6e₂, which is fastened by means of two rivets 6b₁ to the bottom 6b of the spring cage 6 .

The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing and described above. Rather, different modifications of the same are possible without leaving the scope of the invention. For example, instead of two pressure springs, a single pressure spring can be accommodated in the spring cage, which is flanked by the two longitudinal ribs, the central longitudinal rib then being eliminated.
