Claims (8)

  1. Desk top for high desks and writing desks, having a support strip (14) which is arranged on the edge directed towards the user and projects beyond the surface of the desk top (12), characterised in that the support strip (14) is designed such that it is elastically compliant with respect to the surface of the desk top (12).
  2. Desk top according to Claim 1, characterised in that the support strip (14) consists of an elastically compliant material.
  3. Desk top according to Claim 2, characterised in that the support strip (14) consists of a foamed plastic.
  4. Desk top according to Claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the support strip (14) is firmly attached on the desk top (12).
  5. Desk top according to Claim 1, characterised in that the support strip (14) consists of a rigid material and can be moved, counter to a spring force, perpendicularly with respect to the surface of the desk top (12).
  6. Desk top according to Claim 5, characterised in that the support strip (14) is subdivided in its longitudinal extent into a plurality of portions which can move and are provided with springs independently.
  7. Desk top according to at least one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the support strip (14) is arranged in a groove (16) formed in the surface of the desk top (12).
  8. Desk top according to at least one of Claims 5 and 6, characterised in that the support strip (14) is arranged in front of that edge of the desk top (12) directed towards the user and engages beneath the desk top by means of a leg (22) which is acted upon by spring force.
