Definitions
- the invention relates to a burst protection ring made of fiber material to prevent the escape of parts thrown out of an interior with high kinetic energy through a housing.
- a generic burst protection ring in which several layers of fiber material are wound on a housing.
- the fiber material is only slightly or not at all saturated with resin material.
- this remains elastic and can expand when subjected to a thrown-off part in such a way that the entire kinetic energy is absorbed.
- the disadvantage of this embodiment is that more or less only the fiber area directly hit by the spun off part is involved in the energy conversion during the energy conversion. They don't Directly hit fibers are only slightly involved in the energy conversion, which means that in order to achieve a high retention effect, a large number of fiber layers have to be wound on top of one another. However, this is associated with a high weight.
- the object of the invention is to provide a generic burst protection ring in which almost all fiber strands are involved in the energy conversion and thus the lightest possible design of the burst protection ring can be achieved.
- the object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of the main claim.
- the arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that when a thrown-off part, for example a blade fragment, hits a region of the burst protection ring from a gas turbine, the fibers hit can stretch along their entire zigzag-like extension. This is achieved by the low-friction force deflection on the deflection pins, so that the fiber strands are almost uniformly loaded on the entire circumference of the burst protection ring. This considerable total length of each loaded fiber increases the energy that can be absorbed by the fiber strand by a multiple compared to conventional arrangements. It is advantageous to include practically the entire fiber material, ie the entire ring volume of the burst protection ring, in the energy conversion, as a result of which the amount of material required and thus the weight can be reduced considerably.
- the deflection pins are anchored at fixing points of the housing located axially outside the fiber network. This enables effective support on the Forces acting on deflection pins, the width of the burst protection ring being able to be determined independently of the design-related locations of the fixing points.
- the deflection pins are attached to two fixed rigid rings in the rows of pins. These are preferably attached to the housing. This enabled the burst protection ring to be easily attached to the housing, the reaction forces of the rows of pins being able to be transmitted to the housing by the rigid rings being screwed or welded on.
- the deflection pins are preferably arranged radially. This enables a large number of deflection pins to be attached to the circumference and thus a tightly knotted fiber network.
- the deflection pins comprise rollers which are rotatably mounted about radial axes. This advantageously reduces the friction in the looping of the deflection pins, so that an even more uniform loading of the fiber strand is possible along its entire extent.
- the angle between the directions of a fiber strand on both sides of a deflection pin is between 60 and 120 °.
- the size of the deflection angle depends on the forces on the pins or the fiber tensions. With increasing deflection forces, small angles have to be chosen. With small deflection angles, a dense fiber network is advantageously achieved and the fibers running between two deflection pins are not hindered by the curvature of the housing.
- the crossing points of fiber strands lying one above the other are connected to one another. This can be done by knotting or gluing the fiber strands. This connection of superimposed fiber strands prevents thrown fragments from sliding between individual fiber strands. This allows the mesh size of the fiber network and thus the total number of fibers used to be reduced.
- the burst protection ring 1 essentially consists of two parallel pin rows 6 and 7, which are constructed from deflection pins 4 and 5 distributed over the circumference. Between the rows of pins 6 and 7, a fiber network 8 is formed by a plurality of fiber strands laid in a zigzag fashion, the fiber strands 11 alternately looping around deflection pins 4 and deflection pins 5.
- the deflection pins 4, 5 are fastened to fixing points 10 by means of tension members 15. As shown in FIG. 2, the deflection pins 4, 5 can be fixed to radially divided housings by means of fastening screws 16.
- the deflection pin 5 shown is mounted in a U-shaped tension member 15, which in turn is fastened to the flanges 18a, b via the fastening screw 16.
- the deflection pin 5 also serves as an axle pin for a roller 14, by means of which the frictional forces occurring when the bursting protection ring is stressed can be reduced.
- Fig. 3 shows an alternative embodiment of the invention, wherein the two rows of pins 6 and 7 are attached to rigid rings 2 and 3.
- the deflection pins 4, 5 are aligned radially and welded to the rings 2, 3, for example.
- the rigid rings 2, 3 can be designed analogously to FIG. 2 as flanges of housing sections.
- the fiber strands 11 are connected to one another at intersection points 9, which can be done by knotting, gluing or other suitable connecting means.
- ring flanges 12 of a cylindrical housing 13 are shown, on which the deflection pins 4 and 5 are attached.
- the ring flanges of the housing 13 which are required for design reasons are advantageously used for the purpose of supporting the burst protection ring 1.

Description
Dabei zeigt:
- Fig. 1:
- Eine Ansicht eines Berstschutzringes,
- Fig. 2:
- Eine Berstschutzringbefestigung an einem Turbinengehäuse,
- Fig. 3:
- Eine alternative Ausführung des Berstschutzringes,
- Fig. 4:
- Eine Ansicht in axialer Richtung des Berstschutzringes,
