Definitions
- Lockout of the circuit breaker can be carried out after forced actuation of the lever in the open position while the contacts are soldered.
- Document DE-A-3,516,217 discloses a miniature circuit breaker equipped with a toggle mechanism and with cutting function.
- the contact arm has a bearing surface arranged in abutment which blocks the end of the transmission link when the contacts are welded.
- the lever remains in an intermediate position after passing the neutral position of the knee switch, and is stopped indirectly by the blocking of the knee switch.
- the locking of the link by the stop is carried out at the level of the breakable mechanical connection, that is to say downstream of the lever of the toggle joint.
- An elastic deformation of the latter is possible in the event of forced actuation of the lever, which can approach the open position. The risk of padlocking the lever in this position cannot be excluded, while the contacts are in the closed-welded state.
- the object of the invention is to improve the function of disconnection and visible signaling of a miniature circuit breaker mechanism.
- the mechanism according to the invention is characterized in that the stop for limiting the stroke of the handle is fixed directly to a support lever made of insulating material subject to the contact arm, that the support lever is articulated on a pivot of a plate rotary, and that the stopper cooperates in the intermediate position with a locking nose projecting from the base of the lever.
- the presence of the direct stop between handle and movable contact safely indicates the soldering state of the contacts when the handle is in the stable intermediate position.
- the handle is equipped with an indicator light allowing the apparent signaling of the opening of the circuit breaker when the handle arrives in the open position O after clearing the stop.
- the sight glass is arranged on the periphery of the base between the blocking spout and the handle so as to be visible from the outside in said position O of opening through a hole for passage of the handle, formed in the front face. of the insulating housing, said indicator being on the other hand invisible when the lever is in the intermediate position S stable after soldering of the contacts.
- the stop of the mechanism is located on an auxiliary lever arranged in a ratchet pivotally mounted on the pivot of the plate and of the support arm of the contact arm.
- the mechanism 10 for controlling a miniature electric circuit breaker with molded insulating housing 12 is of the type described in French patent application No. 8708037 filed on 09.06.1987 by the applicant.
- the mechanism 10 actuates a movable contact arm 14 whose free end carries a contact part cooperating with a fixed contact 18.
- An orifice 20 is formed in the front face 22 of the housing 12 for the passage of a lever 24 mounted at limited pivoting on an axis 26 and movable between a closed position F ( Figure 1) in which the contacts 16, 18 are closed, and an open position O ( Figure 2) corresponding to the separation of the contacts 16, 18.
- the joystick 24 is equipped with an internal base 27 coupled to a transmission link 28 to constitute a toggle device 30 whose articulation 32 on the base 27 is eccentric relative to the fixed axis 26 of the handle 24.
- the lever 24 is urged in a trigometric direction towards the position O of opening by a return spring (not shown) integrated in the base 27.
- the fixed contact 18 is secured to the carcass of the electromagnetic trip device of which only the striker 34 is shown in the figures.
- the contact arm 14 is fixed to a support lever 36 made of insulating material, articulated on a pivot 38 of a rotary plate 40.
- a trigger lever 42 controlled by the striker 34 of the electromagnetic trigger, and the bimetallic strip 44 of the thermal trigger, is pivotally mounted on an axis 46 carried by the plate 40 with a predetermined offset relative to the pivot 38.
- a breakable mechanical link 48 is provided between the transmission link 28 and the plate 40 for driving the contact arm 14. In the locked position, the link 48 allows manual control of the mechanism 10 by the lever 24.
- the trigger lever 42 is associated with a spring reminder (not shown) intended to ensure the automatic restoration of the mechanical link 48 when the lever 24 is actuated towards the open position, following a triggering of the mechanism 10 on fault.
- the breakable mechanical link 48 comprises a hook 50 for hooking pivotally mounted on an axis 52 of the plate 40. Opposite the axis 52, the beak of the hook 50 cooperates in the locked position of the link 48 with a notch 54 retainer located on the upper arm of the trigger lever 42.
- the transmission link 28 is coupled to the hook 50 at a point 56 of articulation capable of moving when triggered in an opening 58 of the plate 40.
- the opening 58 is formed in a circular sector centered on the axis 52, and the articulation point 56 is located between the axis 52 and the spout of the hook 50 for attachment.
- the link 48 constitutes a multiplier stage in the kinematic chain of the mechanism 10, allowing a reduction in the tripping force in source of the thermothermal release.
- the bimetallic strip 44 of the thermal trip device cooperates with the trip lever 42 by means of a rotary slide 60 with unidirectional transmission.
- the drawer 60 is formed by a bent lever having one end freely coupled to the lower arm of the trigger lever 42 at a point of articulation 62.
- the curved intermediate part of the transmission lever is supported on a boss 64 of the trigger lever 42 of so as to drive the latter towards the position triggered during the deflection to the right of the bimetallic strip 44 in the event of an overload current flowing in the pole.
- the drawer 60 constitutes a rigid kinematic connection between the bimetallic strip 44 and the trigger lever 42.
- the absence of parasitic friction between the drawer 60 and the trigger lever 42 allows a significant reduction in the tripping force transmitted by the bimetallic strip 44.
- the articulation point 62 is disposed between the boss 64 and the pivot axis 46 of the trigger lever 42.
- the striker 34 of the electromagnetic trip device acts on the lower arm of the trip lever 42 to ensure the locking of the hook 50 for hooking by escaping the retaining notch 54.
- the trigger lever 42 is thus moved to the triggered position in the trigometric direction, without any braking reaction from the thermal trigger drawer 60 which remains inactive thanks to the presence of the flexible connection with the bimetallic strip 44.
- the support lever 36 of the contact arm 14 comprises a stop 70 for limiting the stroke of the lever 24 in the event of welding of the contacts 16, 18, said stop 70 being shaped as a transverse arm situated in the interval delimited by the toggle switch 30 and the electromagnetic trigger.
- the abutment 70 is capable of cooperating with a blocking nose 72 projecting from the base 27 opposite the lever 24 relative to the pivot axis 26.
- An indicator light 74 for visible indication of the opening of the circuit breaker is arranged on the base 27 in the vicinity of the articulation 32 of the toggle joint 30, so as to be visible from the outside of the housing 12 through the orifice 20 when the lever 24 arrives in the open position O, shown at FIG. 2.
- the stop 70 and the locking nose 72 come directly from molding respectively with the insulating support lever 36 and the insulating base 27 of the lever 24.
- circuit breaker control mechanism 10 The operation of the circuit breaker control mechanism 10 according to FIGS. 1 to 3 is as follows:
- the stop 70 follows the pivoting movement of the contact arm 14 in anti-clockwise so as to disappear in front of the locking spout 72 of the base 27.
- the release of the base 27 authorizes the total pivoting stroke of the lever 24 to the left until position O stable opening (see Figure 2), with visible signaling of the opening by the sight glass 74 visible through the orifice 20.
- the toggle joint 30 is then in a second stable position with the articulation 32 located above the neutral.
- the stop 70 for limiting the stroke of the lever 24 in the event of soldering of the contacts 16, 18 is arranged in this variant on an auxiliary lever 102 pivotally mounted on the pivot 38 of the plate 40 (not shown), and of the lever support 36 of the contact arm 14.

Description
- La figure 1 est une vue schématique d'un mécanisme de commande de disjoncteur miniature, équipé d'un dispositif indicateur de soudure des contacts et de signalisation apparente de l'ouverture selon l'invention, le disjoncteur étant représenté en position de fermeture;
- la figure 2 est une vue identique à la figure 1, en position d'ouverture du disjoncteur;
- la figure 3 est une vue analogue à la figure 1, montrant le mécanisme dans l'état contacts soudés et manette bloquée, en position intermédiaire;
