A button fastening means for articles of generally semi-­ rigid material, comprising a male element (10) and a female element (11) arranged on overlapping walls (8) and (3) respectively,with a window (13) being provided on the latter wall (3) whereby opening of the button can be obtained by operating in proximity to the male element (10) through the window (13).
