Faltstation zugeführt werden, können sie vom Anlegekopf so lange festgehalten werden, bis die Faltung fertiggestellt ist. Die Zentrieranschläge 14,15 oder 114,115 können einstellbar sein. Die zum Zentrieren erforderliche Verschiebung der Stirndeckel kann auch dadurch erfolgen, daß die Anschläge 14, 15 aus einer Außenposition bis in die Zentrierstellung geschoben werden. Die Speicherplätze können statt auf einer geraden Linie auch auf einer gekrümmten Linie angeordnet sein. Auf die Führung an einer oberen Bahn 26 kann verzichtet werden. 1. End cover storage and feeding arrangement for a roll packaging device with a plurality of end cover storage spaces (S1 to S9; S11 to S19), a fitting station (17) in which an end cover (3) is fed to each of the end faces of a roll (20) by a fitting head (13), and a transport device (4; 104) which transports the end covers (3) from the storage spaces (S1 to S9; S11 to S19) to the fitting station (17), wherein the storage spaces (S1 to S9; S11 to S19) associated with one end face are arranged adjacent to each other along a straight or curved line, the transport device comprises a transport unit (4; 104) movable along this line, and an alignment device (12; 12a; 112) is provided which comprises means (14, 15; 114, 115) for centring the end cover with respect to the end face of the roll (20).

5. Arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the transport unit (104) runs on a lower track (24) and is guided on an upper track (26).
6. Arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the transport unit (4) runs overhead on an upper track (5).
7. Arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that a lifting element (6; 106) which carries a suction gripping device (9, 10; 109, 110) is vertically displaceable on the transport unit (4; 104).
8. Arrangement according to claim 7, characterised in that the transport unit (4; 104) is movable adjacent to the storage spaces (S1 to S9; S11 to S19) and comprises at least one arm (7, 8; 107, 108) with the suction gripping device (9, 10; 109, 110) overlapping the storage spaces.
9. Arrangement according to claim 7 or 8, characterised in that the suction gripping device (109) comprises several suction grippers (30) which are adjustable in height relative to the lifting element (106).
10. Arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the alignment station (12, 12a; 112) comprises an alignment surface (13; 113) which is provided with centring stops (14, 15; 114, 115) and on which an end cover (3) fed by the transport unit (4; 104) can be moved into the centring position.
11. Arrangement according to claim 10, characterised in that the fitting station (17; 117) comprises two parallel horizontal supports (18, 19) for the roll (20) and that the centring stops (14, 15; 114, 115) at least approximately form an image of the effective supporting area of the supports (18, 19).
12. Arrangement according to claim 10 or 11, characterised in that the supports (18, 19) are formed by a pair of rollers.
13. Arrangement according to claim 12, characterised in that two centring stops (114, 115) with convexly curved surfaces are provided.
14. Arrangement according to any of claims 10 to 12, characterised in that the centring stops (14, 15) are formed by two plane surfaces at an angle to each other.
15. Arrangement according to any of claims 10 to 14, characterised in that the alignment surface (13; 113) can be tilted out of a horizontal position into a vertical position, wherein the centring stops (14, 15; 114, 115) are located on the lower side.
16. Arrangement according to any of claims 10 to 15, characterised in that there is associated with the alignment surface (113) a friction driving device (35, 36) which adjoins the end cover surface and displaces the end cover (3) in the direction of the centring stops.
17. Arrangement according to any of claims 10 to 16, characterised in that the alignment surface (13) is formed by the fitting head.
18. Arrangement according to claim 17, characterised in that the centring stops (14, 15) are capable of being retracted into the surface.

Arrangement according to any of claims 10 to 17, characterised in that the alignment surface (113) can be tilted into a vertical position in which it points in the same direction as the end face of the roll, and the fitting head (41) held in the vertical position can be moved out of a first position in the region of the alignment station (112), where it receives the end cover (3), into a second position in the region of the fitting station (117), where it fits the end cover onto the end face of the roll.

Arrangement according to claim 19, characterised in that the fitting head (41) is mounted on a lever (42) which causes movement from the first to the second position, the pivot shaft (43) of the lever is mounted with adjustable height on a stand (46), and the stand is mounted on a transverse transport carriage (47) which is movable in the direction of the roll axis.
21. Arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 20, characterised in that the fitting head (41) is provided centrally with a stapler (49).
22. Arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 21, characterised in that the drive for longitudinal, transverse and lifting movements is controlled by means of a computer (54) which has an input (57) for feeding in the diameter of the roll (20) to be packaged at any given time.
