Definitions
- the object of the invention is therefore to monitor an electrical plug connection so that a release process of the plug connection can be recognized before the actual useful circuit that connects the electrical components to one another is disconnected.
- the short signaling contact is part of a signaling circuit that contains a monitoring device that checks whether the signaling circuit is closed via the signaling contact. If this is not the case, the monitoring device issues a warning message. This can be displayed optically or acoustically, so that the operator of the vehicle is made aware of the detachable plug connection before the useful circuit is interrupted.
- FIG. 1 shows a useful circuit with two electrical units 31, 32, which is closed via lines and an electrical plug connection drawn in the disconnected state from a plug part 1 and a socket part 2.
- the electrical units 31, 32 represent any electrical parts or units used in vehicles, which are electrically connected to one another via plug connections.
- the plug-in part 1 also has a signaling contact 12, which is shorter than the useful contact 11, and which is received by a contact sleeve 22 of the socket part 2 in the closed position of the plug connection.
- a signaling circuit is closed via this signaling contact 12, the signaling contact 12 being connected to ground and the contact sleeve 22 to a monitoring device 4.
- the monitoring device 4 is a microprocessor which continuously checks whether the ground potential is present via the plug connection.
- the signaling contact 12 When the plug connection is released, the signaling contact 12 first releases from the contact sleeve 22 of the socket part 2 the ground potential is no longer present at the microprocessor and this generates a warning message W.
- This warning message W (not shown in FIG. 1) causes a warning lamp to light up, which alerts the operator of the vehicle to the detachable plug connection. This can then intervene accordingly before the useful circuit is opened via the long useful contact 11.
- the individual signaling contacts 12 can be connected in series in a signaling circuit. This means that a separate input on the microprocessor is not required for each plug connection.
- the useful contacts 11A are arranged here next to one another as knife contacts in the form of a knife strip.
- a signaling contact 12A To the right and left of the user contacts 11A there is a signaling contact 12A, which is also designed as a knife contact.
- the signaling contacts 12A are connected in series on the same signaling circuit. If, for example, only the signaling contact 12A on the left in FIG. 2 is present, loosening of the plug connection by pulling it off obliquely would not be recognized in good time.

Description
The invention relates to an electrical functional group for a vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1.
There are a large number of electrical units in vehicles which are electrically connected to one another via plug connections. This can e.g. B. be an incandescent lamp, which is connected via a plug connection to a voltage source, or also a control unit, to which various sensors and units to be controlled are connected via plug connections.
If such a plug connection becomes detached, the electrical units connected via it are no longer functional. This represents security-related systems such. B. a motor vehicle airbag release circuit, a hazard for the transported people. Other systems, such as ignition control devices for internal combustion engines, can lead to engine damage, which result in expensive repairs.
In order to counter these dangers, ongoing operational monitoring of such systems is not sufficient, since a plug connection that has been disconnected is recognized immediately, but the adverse effects have already occurred.
The object of the invention is therefore to monitor an electrical plug connection so that a release process of the plug connection can be recognized before the actual useful circuit that connects the electrical components to one another is disconnected.
Die erfindungsgemäße Lösung ist in Anspruch 1 gekennzeichnet. The solution according to the invention is characterized in claim 1.
Advantageous developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
In the solution according to the invention, a plug connection is used which consists of a plug part with contact pins and a socket part with contact sleeves for receiving the contact pins. The plug-in part has at least one useful contact, which consists of a long contact pin, via which the electrical units are connected in a useful circuit. In addition, the plug-in part has at least one signaling contact, which consists of a short contact pin. When the plug connection is pushed together, the useful contacts come in electrical connection with the corresponding contact sleeves of the socket part before the signaling contact. On the other hand, when the plug connection is released, the signaling contact in front of the user contacts is released.
Such a connector is already known from other technical fields. In
In the application of such a plug connection according to the invention, there is no operative connection between the circuits routed via the short signaling contact and the long useful contact. The short signaling contact is part of a signaling circuit that contains a monitoring device that checks whether the signaling circuit is closed via the signaling contact. If this is not the case, the monitoring device issues a warning message. This can be displayed optically or acoustically, so that the operator of the vehicle is made aware of the detachable plug connection before the useful circuit is interrupted.
- FIG 1
- eine elektrische Funktionsgruppe und
- FIG 2
- eine elektrische Baueinheit mit einem Steckteil.
- FIG. 1
- an electrical functional group and
- FIG 2
- an electrical unit with a plug-in part.
The
The plug part 1 of the plug connection has a long useful contact 11, which is received by a correspondingly long contact sleeve 21 of the socket part 2 when the plug connection is pushed together. When pushed together, retaining
The plug-in part 1 also has a signaling contact 12, which is shorter than the useful contact 11, and which is received by a
When the plug connection is released, the signaling contact 12 first releases from the
If there are several plug connections to be monitored, the individual signaling contacts 12 can be connected in series in a signaling circuit. This means that a separate input on the microprocessor is not required for each plug connection.
Dies ist jedoch durch die Anordnung je eines Meldekontakts 12A an beiden Seiten des Steckteils 1A verhindert.2 shows as the electrical unit 33 a control device with a plug-in
The use of two or more
