Abstract

In order to provide a crack- and warp-free furnishing part for door cases of natural wood in any desired width, the furnishing part is divided into two individual strips (8, 9), the limited width of which no longer allows the formation of cracks and warps to be feared. The individual strips are put together in the desired overall width by means of a groove and tongue arrangement (4) and clamped to one another by means of U-shaped spring clips (6), the arms of which exert mutually oriented clamping forces which press together, in the manner of a lever, the two individual strips in the region of the separating line (10) which runs in the base of a profiled channel (11). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a profiled clothing part for a door frame made of natural wood, as has become known for example from DE 35 04 665 A1. Such natural wood door frames are being used to an increasing extent after the use of plastic-coated chipboard as the starting material has predominated in recent decades for price reasons. However, it is now generally known that board-like wooden components can warp and / or form cracks over time, since wood is a living material. In addition, delivered wooden boards, from which clothing parts with a width of more than 5 cm have to be cut out, have branches in a more or less large distribution, which are not welcome. When cutting the boards for clothing parts of natural wood door frames, it must therefore be ensured that the wood is free of defects within the desired width and length. This means that only a part of the delivered boards can be used for the stated purpose. The rest of the material is waste or is used for other purposes that do not require knot-free wood. This waste-prone selection of knot-free areas of delivered wooden boards makes natural door frames more expensive.

The invention has set itself the task of creating a profiled clothing part for a door frame made of natural wood, which is cheaper to produce in any width than before, without fear of warping or cracking over time, and its cutting and processing enables a more economical use of the lumber available as a raw material while reducing wood waste.

The solution to this problem consists in a profiled clothing part for a door frame made of natural wood of the type mentioned, which is divided in the longitudinal direction and basically a profile groove into two individual strips, which can be joined together by tongue and groove and on their opposite side by U - Shaped adhesive (clamps) are connected to each other according to the invention in that the individual strips are provided on their opposite side with slots into which the legs of U-shaped steel spring clips can be inserted that the tongue and groove connection of the individual strips runs near the rear and that the depth of the rear slots exceeds the distance of the tongue and groove connection from the rear.
Advantageously, the configuration of the profiled garment according to the invention gives each individual strip such a limited width that warping or cracking is no longer to be expected, and the error rate with regard to the undesirable knots is smaller the less wide a board-like cutout is.

Accordingly, more raw material can be used, which significantly improves the economy of manufacture. Since the profiling of the clothing part, as is known per se, is carried out in such a way that the parting line between two individual strips basically runs through a profile channel, this parting line remains invisible in that, according to the invention, the clamping forces emanating from the legs of the spring clips compared to that in the vicinity of the rear sides Exerting tongue and groove connection of adjacent individual strips, exerting counter-rotating torque forces, by means of which the individual strips joined together are strongly pressed together, particularly in the area of the visible side. For wall and ceiling paneling, it is known to join adjacent individual boards together using tongue and groove and to connect them from the visible side by means of drivable adhesives (clips). The parting line between adjacent individual boards also runs basically in the form of a profile channel on the visible side (DE - PS 235 500). These clips (clips) are made of comparatively thin sheet steel or wire with U-shaped claws and are driven into the wood paneling with them. Although these adhesives (clips) can hold two so-called straps colliding with tongue and groove connections, they are not able to prevent the joint from opening when working with the wood, because they do not exert momentary forces that rotate in opposite directions with respect to the tongue and groove connection capital. For the production of a profiled clothing part for a door frame made of natural wood, the cohesion of a tongue and groove connection by means of adhesives (clips) in the previously known manner is unsuitable.
For the rapid assembly of components made of wood, it is also known to use spring clips instead of the adhesive to be driven, which engage in slots in adjacent components (DE - PS 937 614). An additional tongue and groove connection is created in that a wooden tongue is driven, which has a cross section has, which corresponds in the form of two corresponding grooves joined together with the narrowed sides in adjacent components. The legs of the spring clips do not extend beyond the tongue and groove connection and only serve as an additional connecting element.

According to a further invention proposal, the individual strips expediently have different widths, the wider individual strip being designed as a clothing strip which can be mounted on its own, that is to say the outer, provided with the tongue or groove, for the second individual strip is also surface-treated as belonging to the visible side. In this way, both individual strips can be clamped together in living rooms as door frame parts, whereas a smaller width door frame can be provided for subordinate rooms, which only includes the wider individual strip as clothing parts. This choice between wider and narrower parts of a door frame can thus be realized on a single basic model, even on the same door frame with a wide, two-part trim strip to one room and with a narrower, wood-saving trim strip to the other room.

In the drawing, an embodiment of a profiled clothing part for a door frame made of natural wood is shown. The clothing part consists of the individual strips 8, 9 with a profile on the visible side 7, which are joined together by means of a tongue and groove connection 4 and U-shaped spring clips 6 made of steel. The parting line 10 between the two individual strips 8, 9 basically runs a profile channel 11. Narrow slots 5 are worked into the individual strips on the rear side opposite the visible side 7, into which the legs 6a of the spring clips 6 engage.

The individual strips 8 and 9 have different widths, the wider individual strip 8 being designed as a clothing strip that can be assembled on its own. For this purpose, the individual bar 8 has a glued cross bar 8a which engages in a slot of the lining of the door frame, not shown.

The tongue and groove connection 4 is arranged in the vicinity of the rear side of the two-part clothing strip opposite the visible surface 7, the depth of the rear slots 5 exceeding the distance A of the tongue and groove connection 4 from the rear side. As a result, the opposing clamping forces F of the steel spring clips 6 exert torques on the individual strips 8, 9, which rotate about the tongue and groove connection 4 and press the individual strips together in a lever-like manner, particularly in the region of the joint 10 on the visible side 7, so that never here a gaping joint can be visible.

The rear sides of the individual strips 8, 9 are expediently excluded except for webs 12, 13 which remain at the edge and against which the spring clips used abut. This results in gaps 14 sum insertion of a screwdriver blade in order to be able to release the steel spring clips 6 and thus the narrower outer individual strip 9. A door frame can therefore only be constructed with the individual strip 8 as a piece of clothing, for which purpose the individual strip 8 is also surface-treated in the region of the joint 10 as on the visible side 7.
