Die Erfindung nutzt die Tatsache, daß bei üblichen Kostruktionen von linksdrehendem Umlaufgreifer und Spulengehäuse zwischen diesen beiden Bauteilen links von der Greiferachse eine Vertiefung verbleibt. Dabei wird der vom Fanghaken des Umlauf­greifers aufgenommene Nadelfaden auch über die Ver­tiefung geführt.
