Abstract

In order to provide an insert for furniture drawers, which insert is to be inserted in such a drawer and is also to be removable again without changing the actual furniture drawer so that the furniture drawer continues to be usable in an unchanged manner, and which furthermore allows not only one but a large number of additional troughs, trays or hollows to be inserted one above the other in a furniture drawer without changing it, an insert for furniture drawers or the like is provided with at least one trough, tray or hollow which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction, the rear wall of the drawer having been recessed at least to the level of the underside of the displaceable trough, and with longitudinally extending guide rails (10, 21), which are inserted positively in the drawer (1-5), for the longitudinally displaceable trough (23), the fixed guide rail (10) of which guide rails rests directly or indirectly against the bottom (20) or the side walls (3 and 4) and/or against the inside walls of the front and rear walls (1 and 5) of the drawer. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to use in drawers of furniture or the like with at least one longitudinally displaceable trough, tray or trough, the rear wall of the drawer being excluded at least up to the height of the underside of the displaceable trough.

Furniture drawers with inserts of this type are known in which the insert, which extends across the entire width of the drawer, is supported on the upper edge of the side walls of the drawer with projecting, wide, flange-like side edges and is displaceable thereon. Such a design of an insert for drawers is very simple, it can only absorb relatively small loads, and there are difficulties with Longitudinal displacement, because apart from the fact that there is a relatively large amount of friction between the full-surface sliding surfaces, these sliding surfaces must be specially selected with regard to their material pairing, but there is a considerable increase in friction with dirt, which is inevitable because the lower sliding surface is exposed . The main disadvantage of such inserts is that they have to be provided with a movement limitation in order to prevent them from tipping backwards over the rear edge of the furniture drawer if they are pushed back too far. Although such inserts are very simple and can above all be used without changing the furniture drawer, they have not proven themselves in practice for the reasons mentioned and are therefore only used in subordinate cases at most.

A box with a drawer is also known from the prior art. The task here is to design the drawer in such a way that it is possible to remove only a part of the objects present in this drawer, e.g. Banknotes, to be made visible to third parties, giving the impression that the drawer contains a smaller amount of objects than is actually the case.

To achieve this object, a box provided with a drawer is designed such that an additional auxiliary drawer is provided within the drawer, which rests loosely on the side walls of the drawer, the drawer being displaceable with respect to the auxiliary drawer and a locking mechanism being provided in its locked position, the auxiliary drawer holds immovably with respect to the box (CH-A-470 865).

Furthermore, furniture drawers are known in which guide strips or guide rails are arranged in the side walls for receiving an insert which is firmly inserted into the drawer and which can then also be displaced to the rear over the entire length or depth of the drawer without the risk of tipping over. To do this however, considerable expenditure is required, in particular the actual furniture drawer is to be provided with the drawer-fixed parts of the guide strips or guide rails, so that it must be changed. Such a furniture drawer must be built in production from the outset in such a way that it can accommodate a longitudinally displaceable use. The insert and the drawer are firmly connected, and the effort involved in producing such a furniture drawer is considerable.

Compared to this known prior art, the invention has set itself the task of creating an insert of the generic type, which can be used in this without changing the actual furniture drawer and can also be removed again, so that the furniture drawer can continue to be used unchanged. The aim is to create the possibility of inserting not just one, but a whole number of additional troughs, trays or troughs, one above the other, into a furniture drawer without changing it.

To solve this problem, an insert of the generic type is characterized by form-fittingly inserted longitudinal guide rails for the longitudinally displaceable trough, of which the drawer-fixed guide rail lies against the bottom or the side walls and / or against the inner surfaces of the front and rear wall of the drawer and the other guide rail belonging to the guide is fastened to the sliding trough. For this purpose, each of the drawer-fixed guide rails with front and rear support tabs can stand on the bottom of the drawer. These support tabs can also lie against the inner surfaces of the side walls of the drawer or lie against the inner surface of the front or rear wall of the drawer. Each of the drawer-fixed guide rails is advantageously fastened to the laterally projecting edge of a lowermost insert, the lowermost insert in the drawer with its bottom, its laterally and front and rear edges being positively fitted into the drawer.

An insert according to the invention forms, so to speak, a "package", the individual parts of which are firmly connected to one another and of which certain parts, for example a bottom insert, or the drawer-fixed guide rails with attachments attached to them are positively fitted into the interior of the furniture drawer. This "package" can therefore be inserted into and removed from any existing, suitable furniture drawer without any changes to the drawer itself. This means that furniture drawers can be retrofitted with this "package". It is also possible to remove the "packages", ie the inserts, from one drawer and insert them into another if there is a larger number of furniture drawers, if a different arrangement or organization makes this desirable. The manufacture of the inserts according to the invention is considerably simplified, they are manufactured and assembled completely separately from the actual furniture drawers. The furniture drawers themselves should not be specially trained or prepared. The inserts according to the invention can therefore also be stored and sold separately from the furniture drawers. The particular advantage is that when the inserts are designed with a lowermost insert that is fixed in the furniture drawer, this insert fits positively in the existing drawer only with its widely protruding, flange-like edges and, of course, with its bottom. An adaptation within certain limits of different width dimensions, for example, is therefore easily possible by shortening the flange-like edge regions of the bottom insert.

According to a special embodiment, the support tabs of the drawer-fixed guide rails can be firmly connected to the side walls of the drawer. For such a fixed connection, for example, there are insertion slots or holes on the drawer into which the support tabs protrude with a projection or a bend.

According to a particularly advantageous development of the invention these characterized in that a plurality of longitudinally displaceable troughs, trays or troughs are arranged one above the other, the front and rear support brackets of the superimposed drawer-fixed guide rails being combined to form a common support bracket, or the individual front and rear support brackets for each of the superimposed rails are offset. In this way, for example, an existing pot pull-out, which essentially consists only of a lower trough or a board surrounded by very low side walls and a very high front panel, can be provided with a larger number of troughs which are to be used in the "package". There is also the possibility, in the case of an easily removable front panel, to replace the high front panel with a low front panel, so that a larger number of drawers, troughs, trays or troughs are now available instead of a pot pull-out each one is slidably accessible in the longitudinal direction and can be used as drawers.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, an angular or U-shaped cover strip is arranged over the drawer-fixed guide rail, the vertical leg of which is fastened to the guide rail or its support brackets and the horizontal leg of which ends below the trough edge directly in front of the trough side wall. In the U-shape, this horizontal leg is connected to the second vertical leg, which forms a cover for the guide rail. With this cover strip, the drawer guide with its guide rails is covered and invisible and in particular protected against dirt.

A particularly economical manufacturing option opens up if the fixed trough and the movable trough are identical to one another. Then the one-piece manufacture of both plastic troughs in one injection mold is possible, the investment in tools is drastically reduced. With appropriate The displaceable trough is connected to the inner guide rail between spacers, it can then be displaced longitudinally in the drawer pulling direction. The lower trough is removably inserted in the drawer. With the protruding trough edges, a form fit with the walls of the drawer is achieved in the lower trough. In the upper trough, this protrusion forms a cover under which the guide rail (possibly its cover) runs. If several longitudinally displaceable troughs are used, the same applies: the lowest trough corresponds to the lower trough of the 2-row arrangement, each of the upper and one above the other troughs the upper one, whereby the corresponding intermediate pieces or support brackets ensure that the troughs are kept longitudinally displaceable and the troughs themselves being equal.

Der Trog 6 kann mit einer Inneneinteilung, beispielsweise als Besteckfach, ausgebildet sein.1 consists of a front wall 1, in front of the a front panel 2 is attached, and side walls 3 and 4. The bottom of the drawer is not visible. The rear wall 5 of the furniture drawer is lower than the front wall 1. In the furniture drawer, a trough or a trough 6 is used, which is designed with its flange-like, protruding upper edges 7, on the sides 8 and 9, in such a way that it positively against the Inner surfaces of the front wall and the side walls abut. The trough 6 also bears against the rear wall 5 with a flange-like widened upper side edge. But it can also rest directly with its rear wall against the rear wall 5 of the furniture drawer. The rear wall 5 is designed such that it slightly exceeds the height of the trough 6 used. The trough 6 can be designed with an internal division, for example as a cutlery compartment.

Guide rails are held on the flange-like outwardly projecting side edges 8 and 9 of the trough 6. An outer drawer-fixed guide rail 10 extends approximately over the entire length of the side edges of the lower trough 6 and is connected with its upper, outwardly projecting edge 8 to front and rear support tabs 11 and 12. The support tabs consist of an upper, wider part 13 which lies flat on the back of the guide rail 10 and can be firmly connected to it, for example by means of rivets 14. The support tabs 13 can be formed, for example, as shaped sheet metal parts. Below the guide rail 10, each support bracket 13 is provided with two inwardly bent angles 15, which run at a distance from the lower, inwardly projecting part 16 of the guide rail 10 and essentially parallel to it. Between this bend 15 and the lower part 16 of the guide rail 10, the flange-like projecting edge 8 of the lower trough 6 is received, so the guide rails are practically slipped onto this edge by means of the support tabs 13. A displacement of the support tabs 13 thus attached is prevented by projections 17, which are formed on both sides of the attached support tabs 13 or their inward angled portions 15 on the edge 8 of the lower trough 6 are. A central part of the support tabs 13 between these two bends is designed as the actual support 18, which, with its outer surface directed vertically downward, bears against the inner surface of the side wall 4. It can be seen that the drawer-fixed guide rail 10 is inserted or inserted in this way indirectly and directly in a form-fitting manner into the interior of the furniture drawer, and is therefore fixed immovably, that is to say is resistant to thrust. On the outer guide rail 10, the inner guide rail 21 is guided, in the exemplary embodiment shown here by means of interposed balls or rolling elements 22. The inner guide rail 21 is firmly connected to the longitudinally displaceable trough 23, a tray or a trough, which together with the lowest trough 6 is to be inserted as a "package" in the furniture drawer.

The connection between the trough 23 and the inner guide rail 21 is made such that an intermediate piece 30 is fastened to the lateral lower edge of the trough 23 such that it lies with a horizontal leg 32 under the bottom of the trough 23 and with a vertical leg 33 abuts against the side wall of the trough 23. The intermediate piece 30 is extended beyond this angular fastening and has a further upstanding leg 34 which bears flat against the inner guide rail 21 and is firmly connected to the latter. Due to the arrangement described, the longitudinally displaceable trough 23 is held at a distance above the fixed trough 6, so that it is easily displaceable relative to it and because of the lower rear wall 5 can be pushed almost completely back into the furniture when the furniture drawer is pulled out, so that the lower trough 6 is exposed in the furniture drawer.

Also formed on the upper edge of the displaceable trough 23 is a laterally protruding, flange-shaped edge region 24, which expediently extends close to the inner surface of the side wall 4. A U-shaped cover strip is arranged below this edge region, which is firmly connected to the outer guide rail 10. The horizontal base 25 of this cover strip covers the entire rail guide 10, 21 of the upper trough 23 and extends with its edge close to the outer surface of the side wall of the longitudinally displaceable trough 23. This is followed by a vertical outer leg 35, which covers the entire rail guide 10, 21 and into the space extends between the two upstanding legs 33 and 34 of the connecting piece 30 on the lower edge of the trough 23. The further vertical leg 26 of the cover strip lies against the inside of the side wall 4 and extends downward and is firmly connected there to the drawer-fixed guide rail 10 or to the support tabs 11 and 12 or their upper parts 13.

According to another embodiment according to FIG. 3, the lower vertical parts 18 of the support brackets 11 and 12 are brought down to the bottom 20 of the furniture drawer, so that they stand there with their lower edges 19. The support tabs 11 and 12 are not only against the inner surfaces of the side walls 3 and 4 of the furniture drawer, but are also supported against the bottom 20, so that they have a positive connection with the furniture drawer in the direction of the plane of the vertical section according to FIG 3 train.

An angular cover strip, which is firmly connected to the outer guide rail 10, is arranged under the flange-shaped edge region 24 of the trough 23, which expediently extends close to the inner surface of the side wall 4. The horizontal leg 25 of this cover strip covers the entire rail guide 10, 21 of the upper trough 23 upwards and extends with its edge close to the outer surface of the side wall of the longitudinally displaceable trough 23. The vertical leg 26 of the cover strip extends downwards and is there firmly connected to the drawer-fixed guide rail 10 or to the support tabs 11 and 12 or their upper parts 13.

According to an embodiment not shown here, support tabs can also be attached to the drawer-fixed guide rails at the front and rear ends 10 be arranged such that they positively create against the front wall 1 and the rear wall 5 of the furniture drawer. Such support brackets can also be combined with the support brackets according to FIGS. 3 or 2, so that a positive connection of the lower trough and thus also the drawer-fixed guide rails 10 with the furniture drawer is produced solely by the use of these support brackets. Such an embodiment allows that the lower trough insert 6 either completely disappears, as is shown in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, or that the lower trough insert 6 does not have to be provided with projecting, tab-shaped edges 8, which in turn form fit in insert or fit the interior of the furniture drawer.

According to a further exemplary embodiment corresponding to FIG. 6, a larger number of troughs 23, each of which can be moved longitudinally, are inserted into a low trough 6 with a high front panel 2. Instead of the low trough 6 of the furniture drawer, a plate can also be used which is surrounded by side and rear boundary strips or low lattice walls, as is the case, for example, with pot pull-outs.

The troughs 23 used, each of which are displaceably guided in the longitudinal direction, can each be provided with support lugs 11 and 12, which are fastened to their drawer-fixed guide rails 10 and are supported in a form-fitting manner on the bottom 20 of the trough 6 and against its lateral boundaries. Instead, as is shown on the left-hand side of FIG. 6, a common support bracket 12 can be used for all superimposed drawer-fixed guide rails 10, to which all superimposed drawer-fixed guide rails 10 are fastened and which are opposed with their lowermost, vertical part 18 supports the base 20 of the trough 6 or stands on it and bears against the lateral boundary of the trough in order to achieve a form-fitting mounting of the insert, which consists of a large number of longitudinally displaceable troughs.
