Description

The invention relates to a sectional radiator, in particular a sectional radiator made of aluminum, with an upper header for the heating flow, with a lower header for the heating return, and with radiator members arranged between the two header and connected to them by means of pipe sections.

Known sectional radiators made of aluminum are advantageous in that on the one hand the collector strips and on the other hand the radiator sections consist of extruded profile pieces, which is why such sectional radiators are relatively cheap to manufacture. Link radiators made of aluminum are also advantageous insofar as the heat transfer resistances are very low, which is why such heating radiators can transmit high heat outputs. Due to the low heat transfer resistance, however, the serious disadvantage is that if the radiators are switched off or if the pumps delivering the heating water fail, they cool down very quickly, thereby causing the risk of freezing of the water in the sectional radiators. As a result, the connections in particular are broken, causing the radiators to be damaged to such an extent that they are no longer suitable for further use.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a link radiator in which the disadvantages inherent in the known link radiators, in particular the known link radiators made of aluminum, are avoided and the further advantages are made possible. Accordingly, a sectional radiator is created by the present invention, which is not damaged or destroyed even if the heating water in it freezes. Furthermore, a sectional radiator is created which can be delivered to the construction site in its individual components and assembled there, or which can be easily dismantled at the construction site and restored in other dimensions.

These objects are achieved according to the invention in that the tube pieces are held displaceably in the header strips and / or in the bores of the radiator members and in that the two header strips are connected to one another by means of tie rods which are under the action of springs.

A link radiator according to the application can be assembled by delivering individual components to the construction site at the required size, the collector strips being fastened to one another by the tie rods. If the water in such a sectional radiator freezes, the pipe sections can move with respect to the collector strips and / or with respect to the radiator sections, since they are displaceable relative to these and since the tie rods are under the action of springs.

This prevents damage to the water in the radiator when it freezes. For the same purpose, it is advantageous if the channels of the collector strips are formed on at least one of their end faces with a closure cap which is held displaceably.

The pipe pieces are preferably formed in one piece with the header strips, or they are screwed into holes provided in the header strips or glued into them. In order to achieve the required sealing of the pipe sections with respect to the bores of the radiator members that carry heating water, they are preferably further held and sealed by means of at least one sealing ring. For the fastening of the tie rods, angle pieces can protrude from the header strips in which the tie rods are held, whereby they are under the action of at least one compression spring or a tension spring.

Furthermore, the channels of the collector strips preferably have a cross-section deviating from the circular shape, in particular an egg-shaped cross-section. This ensures that the flaps inserted into them are secured against rotation. The flaps can be fastened by means of a tension spring arranged in the channel of the header.

  • Fig. 1 einen erfindungsgemäßen Gliederradiator in axonometrischer Darstellung,
The object of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 shows a limb radiator according to the invention in an axonometric view,
  • Fig. 2 shows a detail from Fig. 1, in relation to this on an enlarged scale, also in an axonometric view and
  • Fig. 3 shows a detail according to the plane III-III of Fig. 1 in relation to this on an enlarged scale.

As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, a link radiator according to the invention has an upper header 1 and a lower header 2, which are connected to one another by radiator links 3 located next to one another. The channel 12 of the upper header 1 is connected to the heating flow and the channel 22 of the lower header 2 is connected to the heating return. In bores 11 of the upper header 1 and in bores 21 of the lower header 2, pipe pieces 5 are inserted, which protrude into the bores 32 of the radiator members 3. The individual components of the link radiator are connected to one another by the pipe sections 5 and, on the other hand, this enables water to flow from the upper header 1 to the lower header 2 through the radiator links 3. The pipe sections 5 are screwed into the bores 11 and 21 by means of a thread, whereas they are held and sealed against the bores 32 of the radiator members 3 by means of two sealing rings 52.

Furthermore, on one side of the two header strips 1 and 2 angle pieces 16 and 26 are arranged, by means of which tie rods 6, which are under the action of a compression spring 7, are held. By the pull rods 6 under the action of the compression spring 7, the two header strips 1 and 2 are held in their mutual position.

Due to the fact that the pipe pieces 5 are displaceable relative to the radiator members 3, in the event that the water in the radiator freezes, which causes an increase in volume, the two header strips 1 and 2 can move apart against the action of the compression springs 7, whereby damage to the sectional radiator is prevented. Due to this design, individual components of the link radiators, namely the header strips 1 and 2, the radiator links 3, the pipe sections 5 and the tie rods 6, can be delivered to the construction site and assembled there into radiators of the required size. In an analogous manner, radiators located on construction sites can be dismantled in a simple manner and they can be reduced or enlarged or defective parts can be replaced.

Da auch aufgrund dieser Ausbildung die Verschlußkappe 13 gegenüber der Sammlerleiste 1 verschiebbar ist, kann auch eine Ausdehnung des in den Kanälen der Sammlerleisten befindlichen Wassers infolge einer Vereisung auftreten, ohne daß hierdurch eine Sprengung der Sammlerleisten bedingt wird.3 of the drawing, the channel 12 of the upper header 1 as well as the channel of the lower header is closed by a cap 13 which is held in position by a tension spring 14. The required sealing is also done using two O-rings 15 causes. Since the closure cap 13 can also be moved relative to the header 1 due to this design, an expansion of the water in the channels of the header can also occur as a result of icing without causing an explosion of the header.

In particular in order to prevent expansion noises, sealing disks 54 are also inserted between a flange 53 of the tube pieces 5 and the abutting end faces of the adjacent components.

If the radiator is frozen, the header strips 1 and 2 being moved apart against the action of the tension springs 7, the correct position of the individual components can be restored by these tension springs 7 after thawing the heating water.
