Während sich flüssige Metalle als für diesen Einsatzzweck und in diesem Einsatzbereich technisch als kaum beherrschbar erwiesen haben, hat der Einsatz von Öl keine durchgreifende Verbesserung erbracht, da die Wärmeleit­fähigkeit von Öl auch nur maximal den dreifachen Wert der Wärmeleitfähigkeit von Luft erreicht und darüber hinaus erheb­liche Verschmutzungsprobleme auftreten können.As such, fluid pressure media such as air or oil are particularly suitable in terms of handling, controllability and sensitivity of the setting. Durch die heftige Zwangsbewegung in der Wirkzone übernimmt das unter dem Betriebsdruck stehende fluide Medium nunmehr die Funktion eines Wärmeüberträgers von der die Wirkzone begrenzenden Heizplatte als Sender auf das Preßband, wobei hervor­zuheben ist, daß sich auf genau die gleiche Weise im Falle des Erfordernisses der Kühlung auch eine außerordentlich verbesserte Kühlung einstellt. In genau der gleichen Weise wird auch hier zur außerordentlichen Steigerung des Kühl­vermögens das unter Druck stehende gasförmige Medium in der Wirk­zone 4a heftig zwangsbewegt, wozu wiederum ein Ventilator 8 vor­gesehen ist. Strömungsgeschwindigkeiten von ca. 20 bis 40 m/sec für gas­förmige Druckmedien und von 4 bis 5 m/sec für flüssige Druckmedien haben sich als sehr zweckmäßig erwiesen. Die heftige Zwangsbewegung kann vor Ort ausschließlich in der Wirkzone erfolgen. Es kann aber auch unter Einschluß der Wirkzone eine Zwangsumwälzung in einem geschlossenen Kreis­lauf vorgesehen sein.When working with liquid pressure media, pumps take the place of the fans. Verfahren zum Aufbringen einer Flächenpressung und Wärme auf preßbandgetriebene Werkstücke, bei dem in einer abgedichteten, auf einer Seite von dem Preßband definierten Wirkzone die Flächenpressung durch den Druck eines fluiden Druckmediums erzeugt wird und das Druckmedium in der Wirkzone beheizt wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das fluide Druckmedium in der Wirkzone (4, 4a) zusätzlich heftig zwangs­bewegt wird.1.
