Abstract

A safety valve comprises a valve member (11) which is movable against spring biasing force (12,13) to close under a predetermined flow rate against valve seats (22, 23) and allow only a small bleed through the valve via slots (28). The housing (10) consists of two parts (14, 15) which are adjustably connected together by screw thread (16), which includes a locking nut (30), enabling the valve to be adjusted and set for operation over a range of different flow rates.
