Abstract

The invention relates to a device for changing the blowing head and/or the blowing plate and for removing the residual sand from the blowing head of a core and shell mould shooting machine and consists of a cantilever pivotable about a vertical axis and having a built-on lifting unit with two bearings and a mechanical turnover drive with a turnover coupling for receiving and rotating the blowing head connected to the blowing plate about a theoretical horizontal axis. The blowing head is equipped with two bearing journals for engagement in the bearings and with a coupling piece. The device according to the invention considerably improves the workflow of a core and shell mould shooting machine as regards the changing of the blowing head and/or of the blowing plate, with simultaneous emptying of the residual sand.
