Definitions

  • the invention relates to a paste dispenser for dispensing metered amounts of pasty substances, such as toothpaste or the like, consisting of an essentially cylindrical container (1) made of plastic with a delivery piston (4) which is axially movably mounted in the container (1) and which can be operated by means of a Manually operable pushbutton (14/3) provided with a resilient return element can be moved against this housing end wall (9) via a coupling end (9) designed as a push rod (5) and projecting through the delivery piston (4), whereby An outlet opening (20) is arranged in a tube-like nozzle stock (18/3) projecting above the container end wall (9) and can be closed by a closing wall (21/3) which can be actuated by the pushbutton (14/3).
  • the actuator is provided with two bearing pins which are rotatably mounted in two upright wall elements.
  • the actuator can be pivoted like a lever about the axis of the bearing pins.
  • the wall elements, together with a tubular dispensing spout, form the head part of a cylindrical receptacle.
  • the actuator has a closing flap which closes the opening of the dispensing spout in the idle state.
  • a return spring is integrally formed on the underside of the actuating member on the opposite side of the closing flap. This return spring is supported on a housing end wall of the receptacle, so that the dispensing spout is securely closed by the closing flap in the idle state.
  • the actuating element On the closing flap side, the actuating element is provided with a flexible connecting element which is arranged between the pivot axis and the closing flap and connects the actuating element to a coupling element.
  • the coupling member is designed as a lifting rod, which corresponds approximately in length to the length of the receiving container and projects through a delivery piston which can be displaced in the axial direction of the receiving container in the receiving container.
  • the delivery piston is connected to the coupling member by a directional lock and follows the movement of the coupling member in the direction of discharge.
  • the return spring presses the actuator into its initial position.
  • the coupling element is simultaneously pushed down through the stationary delivery piston via the connecting element.
  • the dispensing spout Since the delivery stroke of the delivery piston commences with the opening movement of the closing flap when the actuating member is actuated, the dispensing spout is almost completely closed by the closing flap at the start of delivery. This leads to an uncontrolled paste leakage from the dispensing spout at the start of funding. Furthermore, during the closing process, the closing flap moves essentially vertically onto the opening of the dispensing spout, so that paste residues located in the opening area are squeezed out laterally. As a result, the end area of the dispensing nozzle must be cleaned regularly after use.
  • the operating device In a known paste dispenser (DE-OS 31 04 726), the operating device consists of a lever which is integrally connected to a closure part which closes a dispensing opening. This operating device is pivotally mounted in a head part, a return spring being arranged between the lever and the head part.
  • the head part is plugged onto a paste container, the paste container being provided with a neck piece for receiving the head part, which has a shoulder projecting outwards.
  • An axially displaceable delivery piston is arranged in the essentially cylindrical paste container and is connected via a directional lock to a push rod which projects through the delivery piston.
  • the push rod is connected to the lever via an articulated connection and is pulled upwards when the lever is actuated, taking the delivery piston with it.
  • the closure part opens the discharge opening in a slide-like manner.
  • the rod moves downwards through the delivery piston, which is slightly jammed in the paste container.
  • the delivery plunger is pulled up a certain stroke length to deliver a certain amount of paste through the dispensing opening.
  • the above-mentioned dispensing opening is part of a dispensing channel which runs with its lower end parallel to the rod and opens into the neck piece.
  • the upper end of the output channel is angled by 90 ° and runs radially to the Paste container, the end piece of which forms the dispensing opening.
  • the delivery plunger has ventilation flaps that are required for the paste container to be filled properly.
  • the paste container can be closed by means of a base plate.
  • this paste dispenser Apart from a removable protective cap, this paste dispenser consists of a total of eight individual parts, the relatively complicated design requiring a high level of assembly effort. The fact that when the pushbutton is pressed simultaneously the delivery stroke of the delivery piston and the opening of the delivery opening through the closure part begin, the delivery opening is still almost completely closed at the start of delivery. This creates an excess pressure in the paste container, which leads to an uncontrolled paste leakage. If the button is pressed strongly, this can lead to elastic deformation of the closure part.
  • a dispensing spout is designed as a tubular body, the lower section of which is provided with an internal thread and is screwed onto a tubular hollow hub of a displacement piston, while its upper section is inclined at an angle of 30 ° to Container axis runs.
  • the dispensing opening can be closed or closed by a closing wall movable transversely to its axis, which is an integral part of a rocker-type actuating lever.
  • This actuating lever is pivotally supported by lateral tongue-shaped sections on the bearing spigot of the dispensing spout and, moreover, is arranged in such a way that these tongues are supported on transverse shoulders of the housing when the key is pivoted about the axis of the bearing spigot in the sense of an opening movement.
  • This support simultaneously causes an axial displacement of both the dispensing spout and the displacement piston during the opening movement.
  • a metal helical compression spring is arranged between the lower end face of the tubular body forming the dispensing spout and an annular support surface of the container end wall.
  • This paste dispenser consists of a total of seven individual parts without a protective cap and base plate.
  • a dosed delivery of the medium in the container is only guaranteed with certainty if there are no air cushions or air bubbles in the storage space of the container, because air is known to be compressible.
  • the Resetting the displacement piston is sucked air into the paste dispenser via the dispensing spout, since the closing wall closes the dispensing opening completely and almost airtight only after it has been completely returned to the rest position.
  • paste dispensers of the generic type are manufactured in very large quantities as mass and disposable items and should therefore be able to be produced with as little effort as possible both in terms of the amount of material required, each additional individual part entails additional tool costs and assembly costs, thus making the production more expensive.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a one-handed paste dispenser of the type mentioned, in which it is achieved with simple means that when pressed, the dispensing opening is at least partially released before paste is conveyed by the feed piston, the paste dispenser being off as few individual parts as possible should be producible with the least possible effort in material, tool and assembly costs.
  • the object is achieved in that the for resetting the push button (14/3) serving resilient resetting member (66, 67, 68) is integrally formed on the coupling member (5) and that when the push button (14/3) is actuated manually, the coupling member (5) acts partially as a rocker arm Return element (66, 67, 68) is actuated with a delay and causes a delivery stroke of the delivery piston (4) after the discharge opening (20) is at least partially released from the closing wall (21/3).
  • the embodiment of the invention according to claims 4 and 7 ensures that the coupling member, which is connected to the delivery piston via a directional lock, is raised in a delayed manner when the pushbutton is actuated, so that the pushbutton designed according to claim 8 with its closing wall begins before the actual delivery stroke begins , the output opening of the nozzle assembly designed according to claims 8 and 9 at least half. This ensures that pressure cannot build up in the paste dispenser in an uncontrolled manner, and that the paste dispenser contents remain uncontrolled closed squeezed.
  • the configuration of the invention according to claim 10 provides the means by which it is possible in the simplest possible way to produce two or more differently colored paste strips in the paste strand emerging from the dispensing opening.
  • the paste dispenser has a cylindrical container 1, which is provided with an enlarged base edge 2.
  • the bottom of the container can be open or closed by a bottom that does not close tightly. Functionally, such a floor is irrelevant.
  • a piston 4 which rests around the inside of the container wall 3, is arranged so that it can move.
  • This piston 4 is actuated by a toothed push rod 5 (toothing not shown in the drawing) which projects through a central piston hub 6 and interacts with it by a directional lock 88 'in such a way that when the push rod moves upwards in the direction of arrow 7, the piston 4 follows is promoted above, while a subsequent downward movement of the push rod 5 takes place with the piston 4 at a standstill.
  • the push rod 5 is axially movably guided in a central guide hub 8 of a container end wall 9 and the downward movement of the push rod 5 is limited by an annular flange 10 seated on the upper side of the container end wall 9.
  • a tubular nozzle assembly 18/3 with its radially outward discharge opening 20 is fixedly attached to the container end wall 9, while the opening and closing of this discharge opening 20 is effected by an axially movable closing wall 21/3.
  • the nozzle assembly 18/3 is arranged eccentrically to the container axis 52.
  • the nozzle assembly 18/3 is integrally formed on the container end wall 9 of the container 1 and is provided with a closing wall 21/3, which is an integral part of an essentially cylindrical sleeve 53 which is in the end face of the container end wall 9 projecting collar 54 is axially movable between the container end wall 9 and an inwardly projecting collar 55.
  • the closing wall 21/3 forms the one side wall of a pyramid-like attachment 56 of the end wall 57, the outer surface of which is also the actuating surface, so that the entire sleeve 53 in this case represents the pushbutton 14/3. So that the sleeve 53 can no longer be detached from the collar 54, it is provided with a locking ring 58 which engages under the annular collar 55.
  • the lower oblique legs 74 and 75 of the band compression springs 66 and 67 which run from the outside inwards, are each formed by rigid stiffening ribs 76 and 77 as rigid double levers, each of which rests on a vertical bearing rib 78 or 79 of the container end wall 9 in the manner of a rocker, and by thinner, flexible bends Connecting sections 80 and 81 are connected to the push rod 5.
  • the inside of the container end wall 9 is provided with two guide ribs 83 and 84 leading from the guide hub 8 to the channel 29/1 of the nozzle assembly 18/3 provided (Fig. 3), which continue in the guide ribs 30/1 through the channel 29/1 to the dispensing opening 20.
  • the guide ribs 85 and 86 are not absolutely necessary. To form stripes, it is sufficient if the guide ribs 83 and 84 are present in combination with the guide ribs 30/1 and 30/2. However, the guide ribs 83 and 84 could also be replaced by a transverse rib extending between the guide ribs 30/1, which prevents the differently colored second paste from penetrating into the area 29 between the guide ribs 30/1 into the channel 29/1.
  • the advantage of the configuration of the paste dispenser according to the invention is not only that only five parts are required by the solution principle, but that the individual parts are in a very simple manner, i.e. Can be assembled functionally with very low assembly costs, i.e. they can be assembled.
  • the paste dispenser according to the invention also has the advantage that a delivery plunger can be actuated with the actuating button at the same time by means of a push rod, the upward movement of the push rod taking place with a delay and only starting when the radially outward-opening dispensing opening of the nozzle assembly by means of the together with the push button closing wall moved below is at least partially open. This avoids overpressures that could lead to uncontrolled paste leakage from the dispensing opening.
