Claims (7)

  1. Elektronische Vorrichtung zur Bildung eines Breitbandservers, insbesondere zur Übertragung von Musik- oder Bildinformationen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es eine Kombination aus folgendem aufweist:
    - einen Hauptprozessor (10) mit einem Speicherdirektzugriffs-Kanal (15),
    - einen Massenspeicher mit hoher Speicherkapazität in der Art einer Festplatte (16), der mit dem Speicherdirektzugriffs-Kanal verbunden ist und zur Aufnahme der zu übertragenden Musik- oder Bildinformationen geeignet ist, und
    - eine Vielzahl von ebenfalls mit dem Speicherdirektzugriffs-Kanal verbundenen Ausgangseinheiten (2-1 bis 2-16), die jeweils zwei Zwischenspeicher gleicher Speicherkapazität mit Doppelzugriff aufweisen, zwischen welchen über einen Hilfsprozessor (20) hin- und hergeschaltet werden kann, welcher aus den Speichern der zugehörigen Ausgangseinheit abwechselnd datenblockweise unterbrechungslos ausliest, wobei jedesmal in denjenigen der beiden Zwischenspeicher, aus dem gerade nicht ausgelesen wird, neue Informationen aus dem Massenspeicher einspeicherbar sind, während die Ausgangseinheiten mit Abrufstationen verbunden sind, welche im wesentlichen gleichzeitig das Hören der Musik bzw. die Darstellung der Bilder, gegebenenfalls auf Anforderung, gestatten.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Zwischenspeicher mit einer Länge von 128 kByte mitteels einer mit 8 MHz getakteten 16-Bit-Prozessors (20) betrieben werden.
  3. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der mit 8 MHz getaktete Hauptprozessor (10) mit 16-Bit-Wörtern eine Liste verwaltet, die auf mindestens einer Festplatte des Massenspeichers (16) liegt, welche eine Kopfpositionierzeit von höchstens etwa 25 Millisekunden bei einer Lesegeschwindigkeit in der Größenordnung von 2 Megabyte/Sekunde aufweist, wodurch die Einspeicherung von 128 kBate in den Zwischenspeicher in weniger als 0,15 Sekunden und somit die unterbrechungslose Bearbeitung von 16 Ausgangseinheiten möglich ist, welche die darin erfaßten Informationen mit etwa 48 kByte/Sekunde ausgeben.
  4. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Digital-Analog-Umsetzung oder jede andere Art der Dekodierung der Ausgangsinformationen vorgesehen ist.
  5. Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie eine serielle Schnittstelle aufweist, welche es ermöglicht, daß der Hauptprozessor die zu speichernden Informationen in den Massenspeicher übernimmt, wobei die Speicherung in verteilter Form unter Berücksichtigung der Kapazität der Zwischenspeicher erfolgt.
  6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die zu speichernden Informationen von einem allgemeinen Serverzentrum (4) über ein gegebenenfalls umschaltbares digitales Netz mit mittlerer oder hoher Binärleistung kommen, beispielsweise ein Kommunikationsnetz für Bildinformationen, ein digitales Netz zur Einbeziehung von Diensten bzw. über Satellit.
  7. Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die entfernten Abrufstationen Abfrageeinrichtungen, insbesondere Minitel-Einrichtungen, zugeordnet ist, welche die Auswahl eines Musikstücks oder eines Satzes zusammengehörender Bilder beim Breitbandserver gestatten, während dieser einem Mehrkanal-Masseninformationsserver zur Verarbeitung dieser Auswahlinformationen zugeordnet ist.
