Abstract

The invention relates a directionally adjustable low-voltage lamp comprising a concave reflector to reflect the light as a cone and having a base with a two-pole plug molded thereon. However, such lamp needs complex holders if it is desired to direct the light coming from the lamp in any desired direction. The object of the invention is to provide a directionally adjustable low-voltage lamp being able to be secured at any desired point on sheeting or boards so that the light cone from the lamp may be adjusted in any desired direction. This object is attained by that, that the holder of the lamp is made of two rotary discs which are separated from each other by an insulating disc and are made of electrically conducting material, the central pivot axis of the swivel joint being defined by an axial pin of electrically non-conducting material which is bearinged on the two sides in bearing members of electrically conducting material with a certain degree of axial preloading, and rods of electrically conducting material are secured in these bearing members, such rods being connected with an electrical supply and extending perpendicular to the axia of swivel of the swivel joint and the other ends of such rods being supported in holes in holding members with a frictional engagement so as to be freely rotatable and axially displaceable.

Description

The invention relates to a directionally adjustable low-voltage lamp with a headlamp mirror cap which provides a light cone, the headlamp mirror cap being fastened to current-transmitting rods via a current-transmitting swivel joint. Such a lamp is known from US-A-4 630 185.

Low-voltage lights are known which have a halogen bulb of 50 W for 12 volts in the case of cold light reflection. Halogen bulbs of this type provide bright light, and the light does not generate any appreciable heat.

However, such known lights have the disadvantage that complicated brackets are required if any parts on exhibition walls or panels are to be adequately illuminated at the required location.

The invention has for its object to provide a directionally adjustable low-voltage lamp, with which the disadvantage of previously known lamps can be eliminated, the lamp at any point of plates or for exhibition purposes, in the form of Spanish partitions and set up by connecting elements held plates or attached to pipes and should be held in an uncomplicated manner both height adjustable and directionally adjustable, such that the light cone generated by the lamp can be set at the desired distance from the point to be illuminated and can be directed at any angle to the point to be illuminated.

The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1, favorable configurations being achieved by the features of the characterizing parts of claims 2 to 10.

The proposed design makes it possible to be able to fasten the luminaire to any plates or to pipes holding them quickly and easily and conveniently, the light cone of which can be conveniently adjusted at any desired distance from the point to be illuminated and in any desired direction, in order to be able to illuminate certain parts on the plates as desired.

In particular, it is advantageous that the headlamp mirror cap can be gripped easily with a single handle on the non-heating insulating disk provided with corrugations and the light cone can be adjusted by an angle of up to 330 ° without the risk of the operator being himself burns your fingers, or that there may be a break in the electrical connection between the lamp and the power source.

It is also advantageous that the bearings, which are merely borne by the friction liability in bores of a holding body, the lamp-carrying two rods can be shortened or lengthened at will by simply axially pushing them into the holes of the holding body, so that the lamp can be approximated to the points to be illuminated and it is possible to adjust the light cone of the lamp in any lateral direction to be able to adjust.

It is also advantageous that the lamp can be attached at any point of advertising plates or on a tube holding the panels, and that in both cases one and the same screw clamp can be used, since when attaching the same to a tube, the Screw clamp can be clamped directly to the pipe, and when fastening to a plate, fastening with one and the same clamping jaw half is also possible.

It is also advantageous that the fact that the axle pin of the central swivel joint can be made of metallic material, the axle pin can be manufactured in an economical manner with the required axial prestressing of the joint parts, the required electrical insulation of the current-carrying parts also being maintained, as a result of which an amazingly simple design of the fasteners is made possible.

The lamp 1 has a headlight mirror cap 3, in the focus of which a 50 watt, 12 volt halogen bulb 2 is provided. At the base 4 of the headlight mirror cap 3, a two-pin connector 5 is arranged for the voltage supply.

The lamp 1 is attached to a swivel 7 carried by a bracket.

This rotary joint consists of two rotary disks 9, 9, made of electrically conductive material, separated from one another by an insulating disk 8, the central axis of rotation 11 of the rotary joint 7 being provided by an axle bolt 12 is formed from electrically non-conductive material, which is mounted on both sides in bearing bodies 13 made of electrically conductive material with a certain axial preload.

The size of the axial preload of the axle pin 12 is chosen so that on the one hand sufficient frictional adhesion of the insulating disk 8 with the turntables 9, 9 'adjacent on both sides and on the other hand a free rotation of the two turntables forming a unit with the insulating disk with respect to the mutually arranged fixed ones Bearing bodies 13 is ensured while ensuring electrical contact between them.
After turning the lamp 1 or after successful setting, it is possible to hold it in a suitable position by means of frictional tension.
The axle pin 12 and the end caps 41 thereof can also be made of electrically conductive material in accordance with the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, in which case both the axle pins 12 and the inner end faces of the end caps 41 are covered with a sheath 42 made of electrically non-conductive material.
According to a first exemplary embodiment (FIG. 5), the axial preload of the axle bolt 12 can be brought about by screw nuts 14 axially supported in the bearing bodies 13, 13..

In the front circumferential surfaces of each of the two turntables 9, 9ʹ, which are separated from one another by an insulating disk 8 and are made of electrically conductive material, are used to receive the plug pins 10, 10ʹ of the two-pin connector 5 of the base 4 of the lamp 1 and ensure the voltage supply Socket holes 6, 6ʹ arranged such that by de Use of the axle bolt 12 made of electrically non-conductive material and by using the insulating washer 8 for each plug pin 10, 10ʹ a separate voltage line through the swivel 7 and through the bearing body 13, 13ʹ and screwed into this, consisting of electrically conductive material rods 17, 17ʹ and banana plugs 15, 15ʹ a connection to the power source is created. The voltage-carrying rods 17, 17ʹ do not have to be isolated, since the voltage of 12 volts used is harmless for an operator.

The lamp 1 is inserted by means of the connector pins 10, 10ʹ of the two-pin connector 5 into the socket holes 6, 6ʹ arranged in the end faces of the turntable 9, 9ʹ. In order to enable both a fixed mounting of the lamp 1 in the swivel joint 7 and also to ensure an electric current-free flow to the halogen bulb 2, threaded bores are arranged in the turntables 9, 9 'perpendicular to the socket drill holes 6, 6', into which Allen screws 16 such are screwed in that the plug pins 10, 10ʹ of the lamp 1 can be clamped in such a way that the lamp 1 cannot fall out of the holder thus formed.

The insulating washer 8 is designed with a larger diameter than the turntables 9, 9ʹ lying adjacent on both sides, both the two side faces of the insulating washer 8 and the side faces of the two turntables 9, 9ʹ facing the insulating washer being provided with a friction lining effecting a rotary driving connection. The front circumferential surface of the insulating washers is corrugated so that the operator can comfortably grasp the insulating washer 8 and together with the frictional connection standing turntables 9, 9ʹ and together with the lamp 3 pivot in any direction and thus can direct the light cone to any desired location to be illuminated, whereby when rotating this unit an electrical contact from each connector pin 10, 10ʹ of the two-pin connector 5 of the lamp 1 the non-rotating bearing bodies 13, 13ʹ and this and the rods 17 via the banana plug 15 to the current source is formed. Characterized in that the lamp is pivoted by gripping the insulating disk 8, the lamp can be rotated without the operator having to grip an overheated part.

The rotary driving connection of the insulating disk 8 with the rotating disk 9 or 9ʹ can be achieved in that a knob 44 engaging in a corresponding recess in the adjacent rotating disk 9, 9ʹ is fastened on both sides of the insulating disk 8.

In order to be able to freely insert the two-pole plug 5 of the base 4 of the lamp 1 into the socket drill holes 6, 6ʹ arranged in the turntable 9, 9ʹ of the swivel joint 7, the insulating disk 8 has a segment-like recess 18 at this point.

Such a mounting of the lamp 1 in the swivel 7 makes it possible to pivot the lamp and thus the light cone donated by its headlight mirror cap 3 in a range of up to 330 ° which is only slightly limited by the stops of the headlight mirror cap, so that almost any desired angular position of the light cone can be achieved.

The two rods 17 can be freely rotated with the ends thereof facing away from the lamp 1 in boreholes 19 of a holding body 20 with friction adhesion freely axially displaceable. A connecting element, in which boreholes 19 are arranged, is preferably used as the holding body 20, in such a way that the rods 17 are held therein with frictional liability. If a reduction in the distance of the lamp from the plate 21 held by the connecting element 20 is desired, then it is only necessary to move the lamp downward through the holes 19 of the connecting elements together with the rods stored in the boreholes 19 with frictional adhesion.

The two rods 17, 17ʹ are arranged at a certain mutual distance, so that with a torsional rotation of the same together with the swivel joint 7 and with the lamp 1 about the longitudinal central axis 22, pivoting of the lamp 1 by 340 ° is made possible without the two voltage-carrying Bars 17, 17ʹ are able to touch each other. Such a torsion rotation takes place comparatively similarly as is the case with the human hand when rotating it around the yardstick and the spoke.

A connecting element can be used as the holding body 20 if it is made of electrically non-conductive material. like plastic. Such connecting elements 20 can be attached to any location on the plates 21.

With the device according to the invention it is possible in a simple manner to achieve extremely bright illumination with economical power consumption at any desired location on a plate, the almost universal adjustability of the light cone produced by the headlight mirror cap of the lamp being achievable with uncomplicated, simple means.

It should also be pointed out that such a low-voltage halogen lamp is extremely economical, since such a lamp with a power consumption of 50 watts results in a lighting effect of comparatively 150 watts for other lamps, the heat generation being far less than with conventional incandescent lamps.

The rods 17 are usually made with a length of about 60 cm, which can be achieved with appropriate directional adjustment of any illumination of the desired surface, which is made possible in particular by the fact that the lamp 1 can be pivoted about two independent and mutually perpendicular axes by rotating about the axis of rotation 11 of the swivel joint 7 and by torsionally rotating the rods 17, 17ʹ about the longitudinal central axis 22, the pivoting range of max. Is 340 °.

If the holding body carrying the lamp 1 is to be attached to any plate, it is designed in the form of a screw clamp 30 (see FIGS. 7, 8 and 9), which consists of two cantilever-shaped clamping jaw halves, each of which is formed by a molded sliding sleeve 32, 32ʹ 31, 31ʹ consists of electrically non-conductive material.

The sliding sleeve 32, 32ʹ is provided with two boreholes 19, 19ʹ (see FIG. 9), through which two, the lamp 1 carrying electrically conductive, mutually electrically insulated rods 17, 17ʹ with friction adhesion extend, such that the lamp 1 can be adjusted by hand at any distance from the screw clamp 30.

In the sliding sleeve 32, 32ʹ of each of the clamping jaw halves 31, 31ʹ of the adjustable screw clamp 30 there is a third borehole 34 (FIG. 10) running parallel to the boreholes 19, 19ʹ in the middle for receiving a threaded spindle 35 which extends freely through the sliding sleeves 32, 32ʹ provided, the free end engages in a non-rotatably mounted nut 36 in the sliding sleeve 32ʹ of the lower clamping jaw half 31 (FIG. 9), and the upper end of which engages in a threaded manner by means of a knurled nut 43 which is supported on the upper sliding sleeve 32 and can be freely rotated by hand.

So that the screw clamp can be fastened to a plate 38 of any thickness, the two clamping jaw halves 31, 31ʹ have both ends arranged at their ends facing the sliding sleeve 32, 32 als and at their free ends, and in a direction perpendicular to the rods 17, 17ʺ running plane aligned support surfaces 39, 39ʹ and 40, 40ʹ.

If the screw clamp is to be fastened to a pipe 37 (see FIGS. 10 and 11), the inner pans 33, 33ʹ forming the bearing pans are designed with an arc in a radius corresponding to the pipe diameter, so that they embrace the pipes on both sides in a form-fitting manner can. To attach the screw clamp 30 to a tube 37, this is introduced into the bearing socket 33, 33ʹ. Then the knurled nut 43 is screwed by hand until the jaw halves 31, 31ʹ enclose the tube 37 in a form-fitting manner.

In order to be able to fix the screw clamp in a pipe with different diameters, the bearing pan is 33, 33ʹ formed with different large radius, namely the central region of the same has a smaller radius R₁ than the side regions designed with a larger radius R₂.

In this way, the screw clamp with the central region of its bearing socket can encompass a pipe with a smaller diameter, and with its lateral regions can hold a pipe with a larger diameter in a form-fitting manner.

It is thus possible, with one and the same jaw half 31, 31ʹ, to be able to fasten the screw clamp 30 either on a tube or on a plate.
