Description

The invention relates to an upholstered sole for sports and comfortable shoes with a continuous soft-flexible insole, consisting of a continuous sole shell with an inwardly projecting circumferential adhesive edge and with vertical webs in the raised heel and joint area and a soft elastic arranged in the cavity of the sole shell Upholstery insert which, with its tapered edge, engages under the adhesive edge of the sole shell, as is known from US Pat. No. 2,725,645.

Bestimmte Sportschuharten, z. Certain types of sports shoes, e.g. B. jogging shoes, have foamed relatively thick outsoles made of PUR foam and soft-flexible insoles sewn with Califomia or moccasin upper shoes. Due to the inexpensive manufacture and simple processing of this footwear, attempts are often made to use these new styles for the production of sporty street and comfortable shoes. With so i gem footwear, however, the foaming of the soles is problematic because the shoe molds fashion due at relatively short intervals and change a separate mold for the foaming of the outsole is required for each of these new shoe shapes. For this reason, separately manufactured molded soles are still preferred for normal footwear.

The use of soft and flexible insoles inevitably requires continuous long wedge soles, the thickness of which gradually increases in the joint area towards the heel. Such outsoles have consisted entirely of a PUR foam, the density of which must be set to at least 0.5 in order to achieve a sufficiently long load-bearing capacity. However, these molded soles are relatively hard and impair the comfort of the shoe in question. A more technically complex molded sole for such footwear with improved wearing comfort and lower weight consists of an outer sole shell made of a mechanically stronger PUR foam system, into which a continuous upper cushion part made of a softer PUR light foam is foamed. In terms of flexibility, weight and comfort, these molded soles meet all consumer requirements, but they are relatively complex to manufacture and accordingly expensive.

The cheapest molded soles are currently made by injection molding from thermoplastic or rubber. In order to reduce weight and to achieve a certain elastic support of the support foot, these soles have a hollow space in the thickened heel and joint area, in which vertical webs formed on the sole edges and on the sole bottom are arranged in a lattice shape. However, these molded soles are completely unsuitable for upper shoes with a soft-flexible insole, since the relatively hard vertical webs would press into the carrier foot through the soft-flexible insole.

The object of the invention is to provide a cushioned sole for soft, comfortable footwear with a soft, flexible insole, which has excellent cushioning properties over the entire surface of the sole and can be produced inexpensively.

This object is achieved in that a thin and solid layer of z. B. leather, leather fiber, hard cardboard or plastic is arranged under the up to the heel area extending padding which rests on the upper edges of the correspondingly shortened webs and is supported with its front edge on an abutment integrally formed on the sole shell.

The cushion sole according to the invention can be produced in a simple and thus inexpensive manner and has a continuous cushion layer made of light foam on its upper side. The sole is sufficiently flexible so that it can also be used on soft and particularly wearable upper shoes with sufficient fatigue strength of the adhesive connection. The secure and non-slip fixation of the solid support layer in the shell sole is of particular importance. Since the entire molded sole is deformed at least to some extent in the joint and heel area when running, the relatively firm base layer must be fixed and held in the sole shell in such a way that certain inherent movements between certain areas of the sole shell and the solid layer are possible without this however, this layer is moved out of its predetermined seat. A too firm immobile fixation of this solid base or support layer within the sole shell can u. U. lead to breaks in this layer.

A particularly expedient definition of this solid base and support layer in the joint and heel part of the sole is characterized in that it lies with its lateral and rear outer edges on the vertical edge of the sole shell and with this edge on a molded inward-facing approach on the edge of the sole supports.

The solid layer can also be glued to the underside of the continuous cushion insert, which simplifies its installation in the sole shell and u. U. their secure fixing improved.

  • Fig. 1 eine Polstersohle im Längsschnitt A-B;
  • Fig 2 die Sohlenschale der Polstersohle nach Fig. 1 in Draufsicht.
In the following an embodiment of the invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • Figure 1 is a cushioned sole in longitudinal section AB.
  • Fig. 2 shows the sole shell of the cushion sole according to Fig. 1 in plan view.

The cushioned sole shown has an injection-molded sole shell 1 made of a thermoplastic or rubber, which has a reduced wall thickness and a smooth surface in its front part 2. The upper edge 3 extends continuously and possibly with a variable height over the entire circumference of the sole and delimits a bowl-shaped side Space in which the upper shoe with a soft, flexible insole is used. This upper edge 3 of the sole merges in one piece into a wedge-shaped inwardly projecting lip-shaped extension 5 made of the relatively firm, tough material of the sole shell, which forms an upper smooth support and support surface for the upper shoe used in the space 4. This wedge-shaped extension 5 extends on both sides of the sole shell with a constant width up to the joint area and merges into this in a narrower, obliquely undercut web-shaped extension 6, which projects inwards in the joint area and in the heel area from the upright edges of the sole shell 1, as is the case with this in the right part of FIG. 1 and in FIG. 2. In the joint and heel region of the outsole, the sole shell 1 has a plurality of transverse ribs 7 and a longitudinal rib 8 connecting them to one another. On the upper end edges of these transverse ribs 7, 8 there is a thin layer 9 of a relatively pressure-resistant material, such as hard cardboard, leather fiber, plastic or leather, with its front edge 10 on the oblique rear surface of a projection molded onto the outsole 2 in the joint area 11 supports. The side edges and the rear edge of this solid layer rest on a shoulder 12 which is formed on the inside on the side and rear walls of the sole shell with a certain spacing from the upper undercut shoulder 6 and has a flat support surface.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, this support lug 12 for the solid layer extends from one end of the web-shaped lug 11 forming an abutment over the entire rear part of the sole shell 1 to the other end of this abutment 11. The vertical distance A between the two lugs 6 and 12 corresponds to the thickness of the solid layer 9, which lies with its outer edge directly against the vertical inner surface of the sole edge. The height of the webs 6, 7 and the abutment 11 is chosen so that - as shown in Fig. 1 - the surface of the solid layer 9 merges into the surface of the front outsole 2 without heel and the fixed layer 9 in the heel and joint area the outsole rests immovably on the upper edges of the webs 7, 8. A continuous cushion insert 13 made of a light foam is arranged on this continuous curved surface and was prefabricated as a special molded part.

As shown in Fig. 1, the edges 14, 15 of this cushion insert are tapered downwards and fitted in the front part of the shoe sole in the space between the wider support lip 5 and the outsole surface. In the joint and heel region of the molded sole, the tapered edge 15 engages under the upper shoulder 6 of the sole shell 1. The thickness of this cushion insert 13 is greater in the front sole part than in the joint or heel region and, in the exemplary embodiment shown, is chosen such that heels between the upper smooth Surfaces of the approaches 5, 6 and the surface of the cushion insert 13 can be avoided. Since the new padded sole in the heel and joint area creates a spring element in addition to the soft, elastic padding due to the webs made of elastic sole material under the layer insert, it can be useful to stabilize this spring effect in the heel area, the thickness B of the padding layer in the heel area is smaller than in the Bale section to choose, as provided for in the illustrated embodiment and indicated by the opposite arrows.

The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown. For example, the solid layer 11 can also be made shorter and be supported with its front end on a reinforced and correspondingly raised crossbar 7 if greater deformability in the joint area is desired for the respective shoe.
