Sliding gate valve as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that the slider carriage (80) is pivotally connected to the drive rod (78) of the slide carriage drive unit, the housing frame (74) is pivotally mounted on the slider housing (76) and the guide tracks (71c), which in the position (A) are in contact with the rollers (86), extend approximately parallel to the guide tracks (71a) over the remaining track length and parallel to the direction of movement.
