Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren sowie eine Anlage zur zweistufigen Zerkleinerung von sprö­dem Mahlgut unter Verwendung einer Walzenmühle (1) und einer ihr nachgeschalteten zweiten Mühle (2), wo­bei ein Teilstrom der bei der Sichtung anfallen­den Grieße zur Walzenmühle (1) und ein weiterer Teil­strom zur zweiten Mühle (2) zurückgeführt wird. Hier­bei hält ein erster Regelkreis die Summe von Frischgutmenge und Grießmenge konstant, während ein zweiter Regelkreis die Aufteilung der Grieß­menge auf die beiden Teilströme so vornimmt, daß die Antriebsleistung der Walzenmühle konstant bleibt.
