Abstract

The front jaw has a support member which can be swivelled laterally under excessive lateral forces counter to the spring force of a catch device, bears two lateral jaws (12, 13), which support the boot sole laterally and at the front, and forms the coupler (7) of a four-bar linkage, the levers (5, 6) of which are mounted on vertical axles (8, 9) which are fixed to the baseplate. The lateral jaws (12, 13) are normally held immobile in relation to the coupler (7). However, after a certain swivelling-out of the four-bar linkage, the lateral jaw, lying at the front in the direction of movement, swivels out for the purpose of releasing the boot sole, the lateral jaws (12, 13) furthermore being extended beyond their attachment points (10, 11) on the coupler (7) and being supported via these extensions (30, 31) on a two-armed lever (32) which is mounted centrally and axially parallel to the lateral jaws (12, 13) and which releases the respective lateral jaw at the end of the swivelling-out movement of the four-bar linkage. When the boot sole has been released, all the moved parts are automatically reset in their initial position. In order to improve a front jaw of this type, the lever (32) bears a control part (40, 41) at each end of its arms (30, 31) and a stop (42), which serves for interacting with the control parts (40, 41), is provided in the vertical plane of symmetry of the jaw (Figure 2).
