Description

The present invention relates to a safety device for aerosol spray, and more particularly for pumps and bombs which comprise a pusher formed by two fins serving as finger rests. Some spray tips have a nozzle in the thrust axis (example: nasal spray) and actuation cannot therefore be effected by a thrust exerted directly on this same axis; hence the use of fins, serving as a finger rest. These finger rests, because of their shape, complicate the molding of the tips and limit the design possibilities. The invention aims in particular to ensure the security of use or transport, that is to say the prohibition of involuntary operation, and the security of inviolability until the first use, for the bottle (and contents) and for the pump or valve mechanism. These results can be obtained in a known manner by adding a tearable ring to the end piece or to the protective cap intended to cover and protect the end piece outside periods of service. This ring can prevent the tip from sinking, and therefore its operation. The tip can only be inserted after removing the ring, by tearing a certain number of points or attachment lines. But the manufacture, the molding of a tip with finger rests in the form of lateral wings, and with a tearable ring, is a delicate and expensive operation, requiring complicated molds.

In accordance with the present invention, it is possible to obtain a practical, convenient and inexpensive device by producing a tip, the wing-shaped finger rest consists of a piece. independent of the nozzle. In the device of the invention, the end piece is mounted so as to be able to rotate on itself around the thrust axis and the device comprises a socket surrounding the valve stem and the end piece. This socket is formed with two diametrically opposite cutouts, allowing the wings of the finger rests to pass when they are placed angularly opposite the cutouts. When the tip with the wings is turned, it can no longer be actuated, the arms formed on the socket between the cutouts preventing the finger rests from lowering. The device thus comprises, in addition to the valve: a nozzle, a cap and a socket. According to the invention, the finger rest can be molded with the cap, to be detached from it at the time of the first use, or it can be molded separately. The sleeve can be made independently, or can be molded with the cap, to be detached at the time of first use.

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear during the description which follows, given by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the attached drawings, and which will make it clear how the invention can be implemented.

In Figure 1, there is shown a container 1 provided with a v alve 2. This can be a push-in valve, organized to release a pressurized product contained in the container, or can be a pump, of which actuation expels the contents of the container. The valve 2 can be crimped or screwed onto the neck of the container, preferably with an anti-unscrewing system of the notch type with irreversible latching to guarantee the buyer the integrity of the contents of the container. Around the valve 2, is arranged a cylindrical socket 3, the upper part of which is formed with cutouts 3a, 3b, delimiting between them arms 3c, 3d. The socket can be molded with the container, if the latter is made of molded material, or fixed to the container in any suitable manner. Preferably, it must be fixed and not able to rotate around the dibon to facilitate operation and use. On the valve, is mounted a spray nozzle 4 provided at its end with a nozzle 5. As it is not possible to release the product from the container by pressing on the end of the nozzle, that is to say say in fact on the nozzle which would then be obstructed, the endpiece is actuated by a finger rest 6 in the form of a ferrule 6a provided with two wings 6b, 6c (FIG. 4). The finger rest is separate from the tip, and is delivered to the consumer separately, in the same packaging. The finger rest 6 is preferably wedged on the cylindrical part 4a of the end piece 4, and bears downwards on a flange formed at the base of the end piece. To obtain a good setting, the bore of the finger rest may have a flat, or the cylindrical part 4a of the end piece may be slightly conical and / or have a non-circular section. We see that, if the finger rest is rotated so that the wings 6b, 6c can engage between the arms 3c, 3d of the sleeve 3, we can activate the tip and extract the product contained in the container. If the finger rest is turned enough, preferably 90 ° from the previous position, it cannot be pushed in, and the valve cannot be actuated.

The device of this first embodiment of the invention also comprises a cap 7 and a tamper-evident ring 8. The cap 7 and the ring 8 are joined by breakable pins 9 to form a molded piece PM1 independent. The ring carries other breakable tenons 10 provided to cooperate with a circle 11 fixed to the socket 3 by breakable tenons 12. The shape of the tenons allows them to be snapped under the circle 12, but it is not possible to extract the tenons from the circle 11 without breaking the tenons or the tenons 12.

L'appareil en état de service est représenté sur la figure 3.Figure 2 shows, in the assembled state, the two parts of the device shown in Figure 1 as it is shipped to the seller. To put the device into service, it is necessary to break the pins 9, and the pins 10 or 12 (preferably the two series); the ring 8 is thrown away, the finger rest 6 is threaded onto the end piece 4, and the device can be actuated after having correctly oriented the finger rest. After use, the finger rest is turned to the safety position, and the cap is placed. Appropriate snaps, of known type, making it possible to temporarily lock the finger rest in the safety position. The device in working order is shown in Figure 3.

L'ensemble monté est représenté sur la figure 6.Figures 5 to 8 show an alternative embodiment of the invention, in which the finger rest, instead of being delivered independently, is molded with the cap, and forms with the latter and the guarantee ring, a molded part independent PM2. The finger rest is separated by the user at the time of use. The container 1 is not shown for simplicity. We see the tip and the socket 3 which surrounds it with arms 3c and 3d separated by the cutouts 3a and 3b. The second part is constituted by a molded part PM2 made of plastic material, comprising a cap 7, a finger rest 6 and a ring 8. This ring is provided with tenons 10, cooperating with the circle 11 secured to the container by means of pins 12. The cap 7 is connected to the finger rest 6, by breakable pins 76 and the finger rest 6 is connected to the ring 8 by breakable pins 68. The assembled assembly is shown in FIG. 6.

Le repose-doigts est mis en place et l'ensemble est prêt à fonctionner (figure 8).For commissioning (see Figures 7 and 8), the user breaks the pins 76, 68, 10 and 12. The circle 11 is thrown with the pieces of pins. The finger rest is put in place and the assembly is ready to operate (Figure 8).

L'appareil est alors prêt à l'emploi (figure 12) et après usage, peut être mis en position de sécurité par rotation de 90° (figure 13).Figures 9 to 13 show an alternative embodiment of the present invention, in which the cap 7 is molded in one piece PM3 with the sleeve 3 carrying the arms and safety cutouts 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, with pins breakable 73. Unlike the previous embodiments, the sleeve is not initially secured to the container, but is fixed there by clipping -or snap-fastening, irreversible, at the time of shipment to the distributor (see Figure 10) . To put the device into service, the user will have to break the pins 73 (figure 11), which frees the cap, and place a finger rest, supplied with the container, but not integral with it. The device is then ready to use (figure 12) and after use, can be put in the safety position by 90 ° rotation (figure 13).

As for the embodiment of Figures 5 to 8, the molded part PM4 of Figures 14a and 14b includes the finger rest. The cap is connected by breakable pins 76 to the finger rest 6, which is connected by breakable pins 63 to the sleeve 3. In the variant of FIG. 14a, the sleeve 3 is mounted by screwing on the neck of a container. , bottle or the like, preferably with an irreversible (unscrewable) locking catch. In the variant of FIG. 14b, the sleeve 3 is of the snap-on type directly on the neck of a bottle, for mounting the valve 2 therewith the interposition of a seal 20. For the rest, these two embodiments are equivalent. The product is shipped to the seller in the form shown in Figure 15a or 15b. The user, to put the device into service, breaks the pins 76 and 63 (Figures 14c and 16a), and lowers the finger rest to its service position on the end piece 2. He then places the cap (Figure 15a) . When the device is in the safety position (Figures 15a and 15b), the wings 6b and 6c of the finger rest are applied to the arms 3c and 3d of the boil 3: the finger rest cannot descend and the device cannot eject of product. When the finger rest is rotated 90 ° (Figures 16a and 16b), it can descend into the cutouts 3a and 3b of the sleeve 3, and the product can be ejected (Figure 16b). The lower surface 62 of the finger rest, located in an axial plane, bears, in the service position against a flange or a shoulder 65 of the endpiece, which ensures the positive drive of the latter, whatever is otherwise l state of jamming between the concentric surfaces in contact with the nozzle and the finger rest.

In order to ensure correct operation of the device, radial ribs 61 (at least one) cooperating with grooves 31 formed in the internal surface of the sleeve 3 can be provided on the outer surface of the ferrule 6a of the finger rest 6 (see figure 17). The snaps thus determined define two positions of the finger rest, at right angles to one another. One in which the tip can be pushed in using the finger rest, and a safety position in which it cannot be pushed in. With this snap, the tip remains in the position where it is placed. If one wishes to press, it sinks, and put in safety, it does not depart from it fortuitously by the effect of a random movement, in a bag for example.
