Description

The invention relates to a universal bathtub support for different types of bathtubs with approximately the same edge dimensions with a random position of the foot drain, consisting of a one-piece body made of polystyrene particles, preferably delimited by square surfaces, with a specific weight of 15-50 kg / m 3, preferably 25 30 kg / m³, which can be largely covered from above by inserting a bathtub into the recess provided for this purpose and which has recesses from below.

Today it is common to use built-in bathtubs, which - seen from above - have a rectangular edge with dimensions that correspond to a multiple of the tile dimensions, so that in practice there are only a few standard dimensions. In contrast, the outer contours of the pools differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Furthermore, high demands are placed on sound and thermal insulation, which make the use of insulation materials necessary.

A tub box is known which consists of height-adjustable steel supports for carrying the bathtub, which are connected by steel profiles, which in turn are connected to thin plate-like insulating materials made of polyurethane on the sides and on the floor.

The disadvantage of this construction is that the steel frame transmits both heat and sound directly into the reinforced concrete ceiling, so that the comfort is low. There is also the danger that the partially covered steel will start to rust. After all, the assembly requires a lot of care and additional working time. Also known is a tub support made of polystyrene particle foam, which is attached to the floor as a compact unit. The bathtub is inserted from above into a recess and lies with the outer surface of the basin directly against the surrounding bathtub support.

As a disadvantage it should be noted that a separate bathtub support is required for each type of bathtub, which makes storage difficult, especially because of the bulk of these parts. At the same time, the customer must decide on a specific type of bathtub and the installation direction before installation, which severely limits the disposition. Eventually, a later replacement of a damaged bathtub becomes problematic if the manufacturers have changed the shape or dimensions.

Knie) besitzen soll. The object of the invention is to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages. In particular, a heat and sound-insulating bathtub support should be found, which allows the installation of all bathtubs, in particular symmetrical to the vertical longitudinal plane, of a standardized group with the same horizontal external dimensions but different shapes of the basin and the arrangement of the drain on one side and the other narrow side, the tub support should have sufficient strength to absorb the total load of the bathtub, water and person as well as against lateral impacts (eg knees).

The object is achieved in that the upper recess formed symmetrically to the vertical longitudinal center plane is limited by the envelope surface from those external points which result from the superposition of all contours of the basins of different types of bathtubs, that the upper recess is narrow Pages inside has a groove-like extension for receiving the overflow pipe and that in the area of the narrow sides, the lower recesses are designed as mounting chambers.

The further embodiment of the invention can be found in the subclaims.

By superposing the outer contours of the basins of different bathtub manufacturers, an envelope is found for the recess in the bathtub support, which is mirrored by the maximum outer dimensions around the vertical, transverse central plane and by attaching a channel-like extension for an overflow pipe in the middle of the narrow sides then a room results, which allows each of the commercially available bathtubs in a group to be inserted into the tub support with a head end to one or the other side. This enables the client to only have to choose and arrange the bathtub to be installed shortly before completion. An exchange is also made easier, especially if the shape of the product has changed, since it is possible to switch to another product with the same main dimensions at any time.

It is also astonishing that despite the reduction in wall thickness due to the larger recess and the lack of attachment to the (steel) bathtub, sufficient stability of the tub support with polystyrene particle foam with a special weight of 15-50 kg / m³, preferably 25 - 40 kg / m³ can be achieved, which can be supported in particular by a wall through the assembly openings. This wall is only partially removed after assembly of the tub support on the floor. So the tub support has sufficient dimensional stability both for handling during assembly and after fastening on the floor. Due to the great variability of the tub support, it is also possible to design the side walls differently, for example by specifying a slope or a step. By turning the beam around the vertical axis, the builder can still determine on the construction site which of the differently designed sides he prefers as the visible surface.

Finally, by horizontally enlarging the upper recess by a few cm, the bathtub can be moved laterally so that either a strip remains free for tiling along the tub support or the bathtub comes to rest under the wall tiles, which in the latter case facilitates sealing along the wall.

The support of the bathtub by elements in the area of the floor is particularly advantageous since the vertical forces are transmitted to the building in the shortest possible way.

Suitable for such a purpose are, for example, elements of different thicknesses, which are selected depending on the space available. These can be foamed, side by side ribs, from which the ones not required are broken off and removed at predetermined breaking points. Line-shaped or flat inserts with different heights, which are held, for example, in a groove against displacement, are also conceivable, with insulating material in particular having proven itself as the material.

Finally, the use of a flat wedge, which can be moved in the longitudinal direction depending on the distance from the base of the tub, is also practical, since it enables the slope and height to be easily compensated. In order to avoid moving the bathtub in the bathtub support parallel to the short side, adhesive surfaces can be attached to the laterally non-displaceable wedge, which are provided, for example, with a film which is pulled off shortly before installation to anchor the bottom of the bathtub.

Another possibility is to introduce a two-component mixture of polyurethane on site via depressions and / or channels, which firmly connects the bathtub to the tub support after foaming and hardening, the non-required foam being able to flow into cavities (recesses) via pressure-reducing throttling points, to avoid lifting the bathtub.

To absorb the lateral forces, it is advantageous to mount brackets which stiffen the construction between the edge of the upper recess or upper region of the wall of the tub support and the opposite outer surface of the bathtub. This prevents the bathtub from tipping over and prevents the tiles from flaking under lateral forces due to the then only slight deformation of the wall.

A two-component foam made of polyurethane, which is inserted via grooves or open hollow chambers in the wall, is particularly suitable for the holder. After foaming, possibly causing the foam to swell at the notches and curing, the tub support and bathtub are firmly connected.

Another type of bracing can be provided by spacers between the inner surface of the wall of the tub support and the surface of the bathtub facing the tub support. Simple blocks can be used as spacers, which are attached to the tub support or the bathtub by gluing or nailing before installation. Spacers, such as wedges or eccentrics, are a better solution and can also be adjusted by pulling elements or pressure elements after the bathtub has been inserted.
