Abstract

So that a wing (6) of a window or door, at least rotatable, but preferably rotatable and tiltable, can be made more "sluggish" during rotation, a braking device is inserted between the fixed frame (1) and the wing (6). It consists essentially of a basic part (2, 3) and of a wing part (4, 5), the latter being fastened to the wing and the former to the fixed frame (1). A braking device, whose effect can be varied and therefore adjusted by means of a tension device (27, 28), especially with brake discs (25, 26, 32, 34, 38), improves the braking effect. So that the wing can also be tilted in spite of this braking device and to ensure that no special measures or actions are needed for this, there is a plug connection which consists of a peg (8, 11) of the part fastened to one frame and of a receptacle (9, 10), interacting therewith, of the part to be fastened to the other frame. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a braking device for an at least rotatable sash of a window, a door or the like. Modern windows, for example with turn-tilt fittings, are very easy to move. If they are not installed exactly vertically and at right angles and the axis of rotation does not run exactly vertically, i.e. the pivot points of the scissor stay and corner bearings do not lie exactly one above the other in the case of turn-tilt fittings, this can result in the sash being exerted from outside without any force being applied - or running in. The same effect can also occur when the adjustment devices provided on the turn-tilt fittings are extremely adjusted.

However, this deficiency is usually only determined when the building equipped with such a window or door is moved into and the window is put into use. The fitting usually does not allow a correction.

The object of the invention is therefore seen in creating a braking device for an at least rotatable sash of a window, a door or the like, which can be retrofitted to an already installed window or an already installed door.

To achieve this object, it is proposed according to the invention that a braking device according to the preamble of claim 1 is designed in accordance with the characterizing part of this claim.

As required, this braking device can be retrofitted to any already installed window or door without further ado, and because it brakes the rotary movement of the sash, in the cases described, the sash can no longer automatically open or close due to the braking action of this device. The braking device can be designed comparatively easily and, as a result, it is very much inexpensive to manufacture. In addition, it does not require any special assembly effort. In the normal case, a wing of a window or a door is mounted on a fixed frame, a so-called frame, and in the explanations below it is assumed that such a fixed frame is present, without this being intended to be restrictive.

The geometric axis of rotation of the braking device is of course coaxial with the geometric axis of rotation of the wing, so that the difficult opening or closing is solely due to the braking effect of the braking device. The braking effect can be adjusted and set using the tensioning device. A change, that is to say a determination of a very specific braking value, is therefore also automatically possible within the intended limits of this device. If you mount the base part on the fixed frame and the wing part on the wing, in particular screw it on, you only have to adjust the braking force, if this has not already been done at the factory. This is done by means of the clamping device, with the aid of which the bearing sleeve or the like is pressed against the bearing eye or eyes, or vice versa, in which case the abutting surfaces bring about braking due to their friction. It is obvious that one can influence the friction effect and thus the braking ability by appropriate choice of material.

For this reason, a further development of the invention provides that at least one brake disc is inserted between or at least between one of the bearing eyes or the like and the bearing member. This is of course penetrated by the axis and its size suitably corresponds approximately to the size and cross section of the bearing member.

A further embodiment of the invention results from claim 3. The use of the bearing axis as an element of the clamping device simplifies the braking device overall considerably. In the case of a thickened end, which can be compared to a screw head, the latter is expediently sunk in an enlarged bearing eye bore. The thickened end is provided, for example, with a slot or hexagon socket, with the aid of which the tensioning device can be actuated. If the nut is not attached to the other bearing eye, it must be held tight when tightening. Instead, however, it is also possible to attach a bolt thread to both ends and in this way firmly connect a bearing axis end to one of the bearing eyes. The latter then has a nut thread, while the other bearing eye must have a through hole for the bolt thread at the other end of the bearing eye. In addition, the bearing axis expediently penetrates a central bore of the bearing member designed as a bearing sleeve. This results in both manufacturing and assembly advantages.

Another variant of the invention can be found in claim 4. Here too, the tensioning, that is to say the setting of the braking action, is carried out by screwing. While in this variant the nut is preferably screwed onto the non-rotatable bolt thread, in the embodiment described above the nut is preferably held non-rotatably, so that one has to tighten the screw.

A further embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the two bearing eyes or the like are held on a stop plate of the wing part, preferably at least one bearing eye being made in one piece with the stop plate. The stop plate can also form the base body of the wing part. If the bearing eyes are made in one piece with it, the latter and the stop plate at least essentially form the wing part.

Another embodiment of the invention, however, provides that the bearing eye removed from the nut is manufactured separately. Despite the increased effort, this can result in certain advantages, for example the creation of a braking device with a higher braking effect.

A particularly preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that a plate or housing-fixed between two or between two adjacent brake disks Washer is inserted. In this way, an entire brake disc package can be created and the braking force can be increased significantly without the device being significantly enlarged.

A further development of the invention is characterized by a longitudinal slot extending approximately parallel to the axis of rotation, a recess or the like, in which a lateral extension of the intermediate disk engages. The shoulder of the washer can be moved in the longitudinal slot or the recess in the direction of the bearing axis, and this enables the brake package to be pressed together. It is expedient to insert an in particular rotationally secured cover plate between the nut and the associated brake disk, so that the nut does not have to be turned on the top brake disk. This protects the top brake disc when the tensioning device is actuated.

A particularly preferred variant of the invention is characterized in that the bearing member is connected to the base part via a plug connection which can be released approximately perpendicular to the plane of the closed wing. As a result, this braking device can be used not only with rotatable wings, but also with rotatable and tiltable wings. The plug connection is automatically released when the sash is tilted open. On the other hand, it follows that it must be constructed so that the wing-side part of the connector, which is an arcuate when tilted Performs movement, can easily exit from the fixed frame connector part. The same applies to the closing of the tilted wing. Due to the braking effect, rotation of the wing-side connector part is not possible, so that when the tilted wing is closed, the connector is automatically restored without special intervention.

The plug-in connection advantageously consists of a pin and a receptacle adapted to its cross-sectional shape, although the cross-section adjustment must be carried out in such a way that the take-away takes place when the wing is opened without any lost motion and, on the other hand, the opening of the plug-in connection is not impeded when the wing is tilted.

Further configurations of the braking direction result from claims 12 to 15 and the following description of the exemplary embodiments.

Die Zeichnung zeigt zwei Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung. Hierbei stellen dar:

The drawing shows two embodiments of the invention. Here represent:
  • 1 is an exploded perspective view of a first embodiment of the invention,
  • 2 shows, on a reduced scale, a horizontal section through the rotary axis side of a wing which is at least rotatable in a fixed frame,
  • Fig. 3 is a view in the direction of arrow X of FIG. 2 with the wing closed and
  • 4 shows a comparable view with the wing tilted,
  • 5 shows a representation corresponding to FIG. 1 of a second embodiment of the invention,
  • 6 shows a representation corresponding to FIG. 2 with the second variant of the invention,
  • Fig. 7 u. 8 two the fig. 3 and 4 corresponding representations with the second embodiment of the invention.

10,11 aufweist. The base part 2 (FIG. 1) or 3 (FIG. 5) is fastened, in particular screwed, to the fixed frame 1. The wing part 4 (FIG. 1) or 5 (FIG. 5) is attached to the wing frame 6 in accordance with the designation of this part. The latter and the fixed frame 1 are connected in the exemplary embodiment by a known type of turn-tilt fitting. The geometric axis of rotation of the wing coincides with the geometric axis 7 of the braking device. As a result, the braking device does not hinder the turning of the wing. On the other hand, the wing can be moved into the tilting position in a known manner without special measures being required on the braking device because this has a plug connection 8, 9 or 10, 11, as will be described in more detail below.

Two countersunk fastening bores 15 and 16 are provided on the stop plate 2. The base part 2 also has a plate-like shape with two horizontal, also countersunk elongated holes 17 and 18, which allow the base part 2 to be aligned with the fixed frame 1 in the horizontal direction, that is to say transversely to the geometric axis 7. A bearing member 20 (FIG. 1) or 21 (FIG. 5) is rotatably mounted on the wing part 4 via a rotary bearing 19, the connection being made via a bearing axis 22 or 23. In the embodiment of FIG. 1, a loose bearing axis is used, which is pushed from below through a bore in the bearing eye 14, a coaxial bore of the substantially sleeve-shaped bearing member 20 and finally through the bore in the bearing eye 13. At the lower end there is a thickened head with a slot or hexagon, which is sunk or at least partially sunk in the bearing eye 14.

On the top of the bearing eye 13, a nut 24 is attached. The upper end of the bearing axis 22 is provided with a bolt thread which is screwed into the thread of the nut 24. It is obvious that one can turn the screw trained bearing axis 22 can pull the two bearing eyes 13 and 14 against each other and thereby clamp the bearing member 20 located between them more or less strongly.

However, the bearing eyes 13 and 14 do not lie directly on the associated end faces of the bearing member 20, rather there is a brake disk 25 and 26 in between, respectively. The material corresponds to the material known for brake pads. In this way, the bearing axis forms an element of a clamping device 27, which also includes the nut 24.

A somewhat different type of clamping device 28 can be seen in FIG. 5. The bearing member 21 consists there of a solid part with a bearing pin projecting upwards and downwards, these two bearing pins together forming the bearing axis 23. While the lower bearing pin is only inserted into a hole in the bearing eye 29, the upwardly projecting bearing pin penetrates a hole in the bearing eye 30. It is provided with a bolt thread onto which a clamping nut 31 with an actuating slot or hexagon socket is screwed. In between there are a number of disks. A first brake disk 32 is located directly on the upper side of the bearing eye 30, over which an intermediate disk 33 is located. The latter carries a second brake disk 34 and an end disk 35. The intermediate disk 33 has a radially protruding lateral extension 36 which fits into a recess 37 or a longitudinal slot in the stop plate 12 engages and thereby holds the washer 33 rotatably to the stop plate. The end plate 35 is held in a manner not shown rotatably to the bearing axis.

The first and the second brake disks 32 and 34 are non-rotatable with respect to the bearing axis 23. For this purpose it is flattened and the brake discs are adapted to the cross-section of the bearing axis at this point.

Sie liegt an der Unterseite des Lagerauges 30 einerseits und an der oberen Stirnkante des Lagerglieds 21 andererseits an.In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5, a third brake disk 38 is also installed below the bearing eye 30. It lies on the underside of the bearing eye 30 on the one hand and on the upper end edge of the bearing member 21 on the other.

It is obvious that one can press or release the brake discs by turning the nut 31 and thereby adjust the braking effect of this braking device. The tensioning device 28 accordingly consists of the bearing member 21 with its upper threaded bolt and the nut 31.

Die Bremkräfte werden bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 5 im wesentlichen im Bereich des Lagerauges 30 aufgenommen.1, the two bearing eyes 13 and 14 are made in one piece with the stop plate 12, only the bearing eye 30 is molded onto the stop plate 12 of FIG. 5. The caustic eye 29, on the other hand, is manufactured separately and, after the assembly of all parts, is connected in a suitable manner to the bearing plate 12, for example by riveting. A rivet can set of the bearing eye 29 push the plate 12 towards its rearward side, which is permanently deformed after the bearing eye 29 is attached. In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the braking forces are absorbed essentially in the area of the bearing eye 30.

The bearing member 20, which has a circular outer cross section, is expediently provided with a flattened area 39 at the relevant point. With separate production, this creates a good contact surface. There is also the fact that in this way an extension of the pin 8 to the inside is achieved, which can thereby penetrate deeper into the receptacle 9 of the base part 2. The receptacle 9 consists essentially of a recess or an opening 40 in the plate-shaped base part 2 and two parallel strips 41 and 42 projecting beyond the outside thereof. Each strip has a chamfer 43 or 44 on its inside, which when the tilted wing 6 is closed ( Fig. 4) in the direction of arrow 45 the entry of the pin 8 in the receptacle 9 facilitated. Otherwise, the free end of the pin 8 can also be chamfered in a manner not shown.

The height 46 of the pin 8 is less than the height of the receptacle measured in the same direction. This gives you a sufficient tolerance in the vertical direction during assembly and on the other hand, this reliably ensures that the pin 8 emerges from the receptacle 9, wherein it should be noted that the pin 8 performs an arcuate movement when tilt-opening and tilt-closing according to arrow 45.

In the second embodiment according to FIG. 9, a plug connection is also provided, which consists of a pin 11 and a receptacle 10. However, the pin 11 is fastened to the base part 3 and it has a circular cross section. Its free end is advantageously chamfered. The chamfer 11 runs in the longitudinal direction of the bearing axis 23 or the bearing member 21, to which it is attached in the form of an elongated hole recess. With the usual play, the width of the elongated hole corresponds approximately to the diameter of the pin 11. The length is again chosen so that on the one hand there is sufficient installation tolerance in the vertical direction and on the other hand the tilting movement is not hindered.
