Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for generating a propulsive force by changing the momentum of inflowing and outflowing fluids.
Die Impulshöhe ist damit I = m.c.Such drives are known as propellers or jet engines for aircraft and ships. In the case of propellers or jet engines, a fluid of mass m is drawn in against the desired direction of movement of the body to be moved at the speed w, the relative flow velocity of the fluid through the propeller or the jet engine is increased to the speed c and with the relative speed c (relative to the propeller - or jet engine) against the direction of movement of the body. This means that the momentum of the fluid flowing through the body is changed in height within the body. A supporting force thus acts on the body, which is directed as a reaction force against the change in momentum on the fluid and therefore acts in the direction of movement of the body. The pulse height in the direction of movement is I = m (c _ w). In the case of rockets, the impulse is generated by ejection at the speed c of a medium carried along. The pulse height is therefore I = m.c.
In such drives, the maximum pulse at low speeds is hardly higher than the pulse at higher speeds. In the case of propellers and jet engines, the inflow velocity w increases with the body velocity v. This reduces the specific impulse per kg of medium passed through. With increasing speed v, the dynamic pressure in front of the engine and thus the outflow speed c also increases, and the mass m also increases, so that the total momentum (thrust) remains more or less constant. For rockets, the constancy of the propulsive force can be read directly from the formula.
The mode of operation is known from vehicle drives of gears. With the help of the gears, the maximum output torque on the wheels can be increased for low speeds, so that the propulsive force and the acceleration behavior improve and the energy consumption is reduced.
From BE-A-459 186 a device according to the preamble of
The invention has for its object to enable an increase in the propulsive force at low speeds even in those drives that work with a change in momentum of a sucked in and expelled fluid.
The solution to this problem is characterized in
The device according to the invention thus makes it possible to drastically increase the starting thrust in air and water vehicles and / or to significantly reduce the fuel consumption. As a result of the higher take-off acceleration, planes manage with shorter runways; The lower fuel consumption not only leads to a reduction in environmental pollution, but also allows the amount of fuel that is carried along to be reduced, thereby increasing the payload and economy of the vehicle.
Advantageous further developments in pulse connection as well as applications and embodiments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The device shown in Fig. 1 has an adjustable channel for deflecting the suction flow in front of a propeller. The
The improving effects can be explained as follows: By generating a negative pressure, the fluid of the environment, initially assumed to be at rest, is accelerated in the direction of the point of the negative pressure. This creates a kind of wind to the location of the negative pressure. In conventional propellers and jet engines, this wind blows from the front, i.e. against the direction of movement, and generates a braking impulse. In the solution according to the invention, this wind blows in the direction of movement against the curved channel, thus generating an impulse in the direction of movement and thereby a thrust.
Die Schubleistung an dem Körper ist damit:The forces which generate the propulsion can be explained using the "speed triangles" in FIGS. 2a and 2b. FIG. 2a shows the "speed triangles" of a conventional propeller and a device according to the invention in comparison at low speeds. Diagram I shows the conditions for a conventional propeller. The conventional propeller generates a vacuum and sucks in the fluid surrounding the body of mass m at the relative speed w in against the direction of the speed vector v. The speed of the vehicle or propeller is v. The fluid that initially surrounds the body is brought to the absolute speed c in front of the propeller. Vector addition gives c in from v and w in . A pressure jump practically takes place in the propeller plane. As a result, the fluid is accelerated to the relative speed w out . Vector addition of the velocity vector v with the vector of the relative velocity w of leads to the vector c from. The thrust on the body is:
P = m.v.(waus _ win).P = mv (w from _ w in ).
Wegen caus = waus _ v und cin = win _ v ist:Because of c out = w out _ v and c in = w in _ v:
P = m.v.(waus _ v _ win + v) = m(caus.v _ cin.v).P = mv (w from _ v _ w in + v) = m (c from .v _ c in .v).
Wie beim konventionellen Propeller ergibt sich die Absolutgeschwindigkeit caus durch Vektoraddition von waus und v.Diagram II of FIG. 2a shows the speed triangles for the device according to the invention. Again, the fluid surrounding the body of the ambient pressure p o is sucked in at the relative speed w in , only this time in the same direction with the speed vector v. The suction process therefore accelerates the resting fluid surrounding the body to the much higher absolute speed c * in , deflects it in the
The difference between the machine according to the invention and the conventional propeller or jet engine thus arises on the suction side.
Beim konventionellen Propeller ist in der Propellerebene mit der Querschnittsfläche Ao die Durchströmgeschwindigkeit co = (c + v)/2 (mit:The shear forces can be derived as follows: Let the pressure of the surrounding, resting fluid be p o . In the conventional propeller in the propeller plane with the cross-sectional area A of the flow velocity c o = (c + v) / 2 (o, comprising:
c = Abströmgeschwindigkeit relativ zum Propeller undc = outflow speed relative to the propeller and
v = Fluggeschwindigkeit.
S = (p₂ _ p₁)Ao = (c² _ v²).ρ.Ao/2 = (c _ v).(c + v).ρ.Ao/2 = m(c _ v);v = airspeed.
Since the speed of the incoming and outgoing fluid is the same in front of and behind the propeller, its impulse against the propeller is also the same. The driving force arises only through the pressure difference (p₂ _ p₁) of the pressure p₂ directly behind the propeller and the pressure p₁ directly in front of the propeller. The thrust S = (p₂ _ p 1 ) A o results as the product of this difference with the area A o swept by the propeller. It can be shown that (p₂ _ p₁) = (c² _ v²) .ρ / 2 (see e.g. Becker, E .; Piltz, E .; exercises in technical fluid dynamics; Teubner Stuttgart 1984 pp. 43 ff). Because of m = m = A o .c o .ρ = (c + v) .ρ.A o / 2, the thrust of the conventional propeller is ideally:
S = (p₂ _ p₁) A o = (c² _ v²) .ρ.A o / 2 = (c _ v). (C + v) .ρ.A o / 2 = m (c _ v);
Aufl. 1982 S. 43 ff). Es ist pin = po _ w
F = ((pin _ p₀) + ρ.w
F = ((p in _ p₀) + ρ.w
c.mTreib = (mTreib + mFörd).c/5
Then it is assumed behind the outlet port A of another injector according to Figure J, in which the effluent from the propeller fluid drive current and the surrounding fluid is of the pressure p o flow, which is deflected in a pipe bend by 180 °, one can the static thrust still increase far more. It is assumed that in the mixing
cm blowing = (m + m blowing Förd) .c / 5
From this follows: m funding = 4 m driving .
A * a = (4.m propellant) / (ρ.c / 5): Assuming that the inflow of the flow rate m Förd in the
A*ein = 10.Ao.
Erneute Anwendung der Rohrkrümmerformel ergibt:
F = ((po _ ρ.(c/5)²/2) _ po + (c/5)².ρ).A*ein + (mTreib + mFörd).c/5 = 10.Ao.ρ.c²/50 + (5 mTreib).c/5 = mTreib.(c + c/2,5); Tasächlich sind die Verbesserungen noch höher. Hinter der Injektordüse entsteht nämlich ein Unterdruck, so daß der tatsächliche Förderstrom höher als 4 mTreibwird. Die entsprechenden Formeln finden sich in Becker, E. / Piltz, E.; Übungen... S.52 und S.110. Danach ist mFörd = 7.mTreib, daher A*ein = 17,5.Ao und damit F ≅ 2,3.mTreib.c.A * o a = 10.A.
Reapplying the pipe elbow formula gives:
F = ((p o _ ρ. (C / 5) ² / 2) _ p o + (c / 5) ².ρ) .A * a + (m driving + m funding ) .c / 5 = 10. A o .ρ.c² / 50 + (5 m drive ) .c / 5 = m drive (c + c / 2.5); In fact, the improvements are even higher. A negative pressure is created behind the injector nozzle, so that the actual flow rate is higher than 4 m drive . The corresponding formulas can be found in Becker, E. / Piltz, E .; Exercises ... p.52 and p.110. Thereafter, m = Förd 7.m propellant, thus A * .c = 17,5.A o and F ≅ 2,3.m propellant.
All in all, the deflection of the intake fluid and the use of the injector (simplified derivation) result in an increase in the thrust by over 65%.
The inflow channels are adjustable so that you can still drive at high speeds. This was described for FIG. 1 and also applies to FIG. 3.
Figure 2b shows the inflow triangles valid for this. Diagram I shows the velocity triangle resulting from the expansion of the cross-sectional area of the inflow channels. This reduces the relative speed w in and thus the length of the vector w in .
Diagram II shows a speed triangle of the machine according to the invention when the inflow direction changes. If you change the direction of the inflow vector w in and specifies its length (= speed), then it follows from the laws of vector addition c in . The propulsion component cv in is then the projection of c in onto the beam on which v lies. This corresponds to the circumferential component c u in Euler's formula.
In the

Beiniedrigen Drehzahlen hat sie einen schlechten Wirkungsgrad.FIGS. 5 to 7 show the device according to the invention on the low-pressure turbine of a twin-shaft gas turbine. Twin-shaft gas turbines are used, among other things, as vehicle drives. The high-pressure turbine usually drives the compressor and the low-pressure turbine drives the vehicle. The low-pressure turbine rotates at different speeds depending on the vehicle speed. At low speeds, it has poor efficiency.
The
Die Tragflügel können bei "Hubschrauberbetrieb" eingeschwenkt werden.FIG. 8 shows drives according to the invention on an aircraft. Two
