Abstract

There is provided an attachment having a pot-shaped bottom element and a sealing cap adapted to be arranged on the neck of tubes, bottles or the like. The top side of the ceiling of the bottom element, which is supported by the side wall of the pot-shaped bottom element, is fitted with brush-like bristles which are covered by the sealing cap. The central region of the bottom element ceiling is provided with an orifice into which projects a tongue extending from the bottom side of the sealing cap, the free end of the tongue entering the orifice in the ceiling of the bottom part and sealing the same in the manner of a plug. The sealing cap has in the bottom edge region a female thread which cooperates with a male thread on the neck of the tube so that the side wall of the bottom element and the female thread of the sealing cap oppose one another in the same cross-sectional plane thus resulting in a space-saving association of the bottom element having the brush-like bristles, such association being close to the neck.

Description

The invention relates to an attachment to be arranged on the neck of tubes, bottles or the like according to the preamble of claim 1.

An article of this type is known from DE-GM 82 31 682. There, the area of assignment of the lower part of the attachment which carries the bristle-like coating bodies extends at a relatively large distance above the sealing cap and neck connecting the threaded zone. The latter requires a fairly long neck and a correspondingly large cap length. The resulting waste of material is significant. After all, such order packs are mass-produced items.

The object of the invention is to provide a generic attachment to tubes, bottles or the like, in which the lower part forming the bristle body can be laid as close as possible to the area of the neck attachment, with a compact, space-saving design of such order packs.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1.

Die Unteransprüche sind vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen des Erfindungsgegenstandes. The subclaims are advantageous developments of the subject matter of the invention.

As a result of such a configuration, an extremely compact attachment to tubes, bottles or similar order packs is achieved: the minimum axial length required for a safe assignment of the lower part is sensibly used for accommodating the internal thread of the closure cap. This leads to an extremely space-saving design; the resulting axial length can be used in terms of volume, ie with the same starting length of corresponding packs, more filling content can be offered. The cap is also more manageable. Ergonomically, it can be grasped better than a long, cup-like structure. A tight fit of the parts to be connected is achieved by simple means in that the outer surface of the pot wall has a throat for snapping the neck of the tube or the like. The corresponding snap bead is molded onto the latter. Even high mechanical forces acting on the lower part are unable to affect the corresponding anchoring. In terms of sealing technology and in relation to an advantageous clamping of the lower part with the involvement of the closure cap, this results in that the inner wall of the closure cap has a sealing bead which is placed on the edge zone of the bottom part ceiling and which edge zone overlaps the front edge of the neck. In addition, it proves to be advantageous that a collar extending from the mouth opening extends approximately to the lower edge of the pot wall. In addition to a strand-forming effect, this also has a stabilizing function, so that the ceiling of the lower part can even be made with very thin walls. Such a long collar can also be used advantageously for sealing. In this regard, the procedure is such that a stepped end portion of the mandrel enters the collar. Advantageously, the mandrel is hollow and designed as a retraction of the top of the cap. A corresponding hollow mandrel is more flexible and also proves to be more adaptable with regard to different mouth openings due to tolerances. It is also proposed that a valve plate is formed in the collar. The latter forms an insurmountable barrier for the medium to be applied. In the downward position of the mouth opening, the contents do not leak out in an uncontrolled manner. Rather, what is needed is a deliberate displacement by loading the wall of the tube or the like. In this way, brushing can be carried out without the filling contents inevitably escaping. The fact that the mandrel continues to act on the valve plate in its closed position with its free end gives the mandrel an additional function. Finally, the invention proposes that the jacket wall of the collar has an engagement groove for the perforated edge of a transverse wall of the neck of the tube or the like. In this way there is an additional anchoring for the lower part, namely in its central area. This anchorage is also in the same cross-sectional plane as the pot rim and the internal thread. Finally, it is advantageous that the lower area of the pot wall, that is, the rim of the pot, enters an annular groove in the neck. Such a configuration also serves to secure the clip connection lying somewhat above it between the lateral surface of the pot wall and the corresponding surface of the neck.

The tube 1, for example containing a textile cleaning agent, shoe polish or similar spreading agent, is made of plastic and can be compressed to discharge the medium. The floor area is thermally closed, for example. The weld seam bears the reference symbol 2. The other end of the tube 1, as can be clearly seen from FIG. 2, merges into a short neck 4 via a somewhat retracted edge 3 forming a rounded shoulder. The shoulder protrusion is only slight.

The neck 4 is covered by an assignable attachment A. Components of this attachment are a pot-shaped lower part 5, which can be assigned to the neck 4 by means of the clip connection, and a closure cap 6 which grips this in the closed position of the tube. With regard to the lower part, material is used which is optimally suitable for the formation of upright, bristle-like coating bodies 7 which are molded onto the lower part in the same way. The closure cap 6 forms a protective space 8 which overlaps this coating body 7.

The practically from the ceiling 5 'of the pot-shaped lower part 5 spreading body 7 have an interruption in the central region (bristle recess 33). In this central zone extends a mandrel extending from the bottom of the cap 9. The latter is hollow and realized as a retraction 10 starting from the top 6 'of the cap 6.

The free, initially cylindrical, but then dome-like tapered end 9 'of the mandrel 9 closes in a stopper-like manner into an opening 11 in the ceiling 5' of the lower part 5.

The mouth opening 11 is formed in the region of a collar 12. The latter extends in the same direction as the tube-facing indentation 10 and closes with its free end essentially at the same level as the end edge 13 'of the basically cylindrical pot wall 13 of the lower part 5. The entering into the cylindrical opening 11 formed by the collar 12, the end 9 'of the mandrel 9 is offset from the tube-side weakly funnel-shaped indentation 10. The shoulder which seals onto the upper edge of the mouth opening 11 bears the reference number 14.

For clip fastening or for clipping the lower part 5 to the neck 4 of the tube 1, the lateral surface of the pot wall 13 has a throat 15 at a medium height. The latter extends all around. A protrusion 16 snaps into the corresponding inner surface of the neck 4. The projection 16 is realized as an annular bead. Its top and bottom flanks are broken. This and a chamfer on the lower outer edge of the pot wall 13 facilitate the assignment of the brush body.

The lower region of the pot rim enters, as shown in FIG. 2, into an annular groove 17 of the neck 4. This annular groove 17 is delimited on the outside by the lower section of the neck 4 rooted in the edge 3 of the tube 1 and below by a section 18 'One of the tube 1 delimiting transverse wall 18 and directed inward by a parallel to the neck 4, from the section 18' of the transverse wall 18 outgoing ring wall 19. The ring groove side upper edge is chamfered, so that the pot edge is well deflected where it is in rest supported under closing load of the clip connection on the ring wall 19.

The transverse wall 18 runs practically horizontally only in the region of the annular groove 17, ie. H. perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis x-x of the tube; on the inside of the ring wall 19, it rises in a funnel shape in the direction of the closure cap 6, approximately up to the middle height of the collar 12. The jacket wall of the collar 12 forms an engagement groove 20. In the latter, the edge 21 of this correspondingly perforated transverse wall 18 snaps into place , so that there is a connection point between the lower part 5 and the neck 4 of the tube 1 not only in the peripheral area of the lower part 5, but also in the central area of the same. In order to facilitate the insertion of the central collar 12, which acts like a hollow locking pin, its lower outer edge is chamfered. The correspondingly conical inlet clearly results from the graphic representation in FIGS. 2, 4 and 5. The concavity 22 created by closing the transverse wall 18 on the closure cap side accommodates the protruding section of the collar 12; the latter does not protrude into the interior 1 'of the tube 1, so that the squeezing or folding of the tube body does not experience any hindrance, so the content can be dispensed practically without residue.

Die Durchbrechung für den Kragen 12 trägt das Bezugszeichen 23.The flank of the engaging groove 20 on the inside of the container is chamfered, whereas the flank on the outside of the container is steep; it runs perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis x-x and at a short distance above the ring zone of the transverse wall 18, which is folded back into the horizontal. The opening for the collar 12 has the reference symbol 23.

The assignment of the closure cap 6 takes place via thread engagement. The lower, inner edge region of the closure cap wall 24 has an internal thread 25. The corresponding counter thread 26 is located on the jacket wall of the neck 4. This assignment is such that the cup wall 13 and the internal thread 25 lie opposite one another on the same cross-sectional plane. Central locking and peripheral locking are thus accommodated on a relatively short axial section y, which is somewhat shorter than the length of the Brush body 7 or approximately one fifth of the diameter D of the attachment A corresponds.

The ceiling 5 'of the lower part 5 projects beyond the outer surface of the pot wall 13 in such a way that an annular ceiling support edge 27 engages over the end edge 28 of the neck 4. This pot-supporting overlap position is secured by a sealing bead 29 lying on the inner wall of the closure cap 6 and resting on the edge zone 27 at the top. The latter closes flat on the inside with the inner surface of the neck. The underside of the sealing bead 29 is chamfered. The edge zone also has a corresponding bevel. When tightening the thread, there is a jamming gripping of the support edge 27 between the sealing bead 29 and the neck 4. This effectively counteracts the leakage of medium still lying in the bristle region via the thread.

In order to achieve a controlled dispensing of the filling contents from the tube during use, the collar 12 has a valve disk 30 on the inside. The latter is formed as a valve flap in the upper, somewhat larger cross-section of the collar, so it starts from an undercut shoulder edge 12 'of this collar. A molded part on the tube side serves as the joint. It is a narrow gusset 31. This starts from the underside of the valve plate 30 and is rooted in the reduced-cross-section zone of the inner wall of the collar 12. As can be seen in FIG. 5, an even larger opening angle results from a conical shape of the valve plate , as it is already favored by the gradation in the area of the shoulder edge. As soon as the tube is squeezed, the metered filling content pushes through the collar as a guide channel via the mouth opening 11 into the area of the central bristle recess 33, where it is distributed by brush movement and released to the coating surface.

In the closed position of the cap 6, the free end 9 'of the mandrel 9 occurs against the back of the valve plate 30, which thus holds the lip-like ring zone in the region of the edge 12' of the collar.
