Die beiden das Vorderbeinpaar 3 und das dritte Strebenpaar 7 bildenden Metallbügel sind an ihren unteren Querstegen mittels Scharnierstücken aus Kunststoff miteinander verbunden, welche jeweils aus zwei Hälften 24a und 24b bestehen, die miteinander verschraubt sind, um die beiden besagten Querstege drehbar aufzunehmen. Das erste Strebenpaar 5 ist von zwei einzelnen Metallstangen gebildet, welche jeweils am oberen Ende mittels eines unten an den Lehnenbügel angeschraubten Lagerbocks 25, eines Lagerbolzens 26 und einer Scheibe 27 mit dem Lehnenbügel verbunden sind, wobei die beiden Lagerbolzen 26 die Querachse 13 bzw. die entsprechende Schwenkachse definieren. Der Metallbügel des Vorderbeinpaars 3 weist eine Querstrebe 28 auf, auf welcher die Sitzplatte 2 mittels von unten angeschraubter Laschen 29 drehbar gelagert ist und welche also die Querachse 11 bzw. die entsprechende Schwenkachse definiert. Auch das zweite Strebenpaar 6 ist von einem U-förmigen Metallbügel gebildet. Dessen Quersteg ist auf der Unterseite der Sitzplatte 2 mittels angeschraubter Laschen 30 drehbar gelagert und definiert die Querachse 14 bzw. die entsprechende Schwenkachse. Die Enden der Längsstege dieses Metallbügels sind nach außen gebogen, um die erwähnten Innenvorsprünge 20 zu bilden, welche an ihren Enden mit dem Schiebestück 8 auf der jeweiligen Stuhlseite verschraubt sind, um zwei Lageraugen 31 und 32 auf dem jeweiligen Schiebestück 8 zu halten, welche auf demselben drehbar und an den benachbarten Enden des ersten Strebenpaars 5 bzw. des dritten Strebenpaars 7 auf der betreffenden Stuhlseite vorgesehen sind. Der zweite Abschnitt 6" ragt dabei von der Sitzplatte 2 schräg nach unten zum Schiebestückpaar 8. Wie in Verbindung mit dem Klappstuhl nach Fig. 1 bis 4 geschildert, kann das zweite Strebenpaar 6 von einem U-förmigen Metallbügel gebildet sein. 1. Folding chair having a U-shaped rest bow (1), a narrower seat plate (2) of corresponding U-shaped outline, a pair of front legs (3) and a pair of rear legs (4), wherein
a) the pair of front legs (3) and the pair of rear legs (4) are connected to each other for pivotal movement about a transverse axis and each pair is connected at its upper ends to the rest bow (1) for pivotal movement about a transverse axis, and
b) the seat plate (2) is connected in the region of its front edge to the pair of front legs (3) for pivotal movement about a transverse axis (11) and is adapted to be supported in a distance from this pivot axis on the pair of rear legs (4) which is longer than the pair of front legs (3) and extends from the two front ends (1') of the rest bow (1) obliquely to the rear under the rear ends of the rest bow (1) and of the seat plate (2), so that
c) the rest bow (1), the seat plate (2) and the pair of front legs (3) as well as the pair of rear legs (4) can be folded together pivoting with respect to each other about the transverse axes downwardly, upwardly and toward each other, respectively,

e) the pair of front legs (3) extends vertically, and
f) the pair of rear legs (4) is provided with a pair of sliders (8) connected by three pairs of struts (5, 6, 7) to the rest bow (1), to the seat plate (2) and to the pair of front legs (3), respectively, the seat plate (2) being adapted to be supported on said pair of sliders, wherein
g) the pairs of struts (5, 6, 7) are connected at their one ends to the pair of sliders (8) for pivotal movement about a common transverse axis (12) and each pair of struts is connected at its other ends to the rest bow (1) in the rear region thereof, to the seat plate (2) between its pivot axis on the pair of front legs (3) and the pair of sliders (8) and to the lower ends of the pair of front legs (3), respectively, for pivotal movement about a transverse axis (13 or 14 or 15), and wherein
h) the two pairs of struts (5, 7) articulated on the rest bow (1) and respectively on the pair of front legs (3) extend within the same plane, so that
i) when the seat plate (2) is pivoted upwardly. the pair of sliders (8) move along the pair of rear legs (4) toward the pivotal axis common to the pair of front legs (3), to the pair of rear legs (4) and to the rest bow (1) and the rest bow (1) and the pair of rear legs (4) pivote downwardly and respectively toward the pair of front legs (3), whereas the three pairs of struts (5, 6, 7) engage against the rest bow (1), the seat plate (2) and the pair of front legs (3), respectively.
2. Folding chair according to claim 1, characterized in that the pair of front legs (3), the pair of rear legs (4) and the pair of struts (7) articulated on the pair of front legs (3) are each formed by a U-shaped metal bow, the transverse segment of which serves as a support on the floor.

5. Folding chair according to any preceding claim, characterized in that the pair of front legs (3) has a transverse strut (28) to which the seat plate (2) is rotatably attached.

Folding chair according to any preceding claim, characterized by an arrangement of the pivot axis of the seat plate (2) on the pair of front legs (3) and of the common pivot axis of the pairs of struts (5, 6, 7) on the pair of sliders (8) such that the two pivot axes coincide, when the seat plate (2) has been pivoted upwardly, and the seat plate (2) may be pivoted together with the pair of struts (6) articulated thereon downwardly into the rest bow (1).
7. Folding chair according to claim 6, characterized in that the pair of struts (6) articulated on the seat plate (2) is bent for supporting the seat plate (2) on the pair of sliders (8) and has two sections (6', 6") forming an obtuse angle (a), the seat plate (2) resting on the section (6') adjacent to the pivot axis of the pair of struts (6) on the seat plate (2) and the other section (6") adjacent to the common pivot axis of the pairs of struts (5, 6, 7) on the pair of sliders (8) extending from the seat plate (2) obliquely downwards.
8. Folding chair according to claim 7 in combination with claim 4, characterized in that the two longitudinal segments of the U-shaped metal bow forming the pair of struts (6) are each bent to form the sections (6', 6") of the pair of struts (6).
9. Folding chair according to claim 6, 7 or 8, characterized in that the pivot axis of the seat plate (2) on the pair of front legs (3) is offset from the plane of the pair of front legs (3) toward the common pivot axis of the pairs of struts (5, 6, 7) on the pair of sliders (8).
10. Folding chair according to claim 9 in combination with claim 5, characterized in that the transverse strut (28) of the pair of front legs (3) is formed by the transverse segment of a in- shaped metal bow which is secured at the ends of its two longitudinal segments remote from said transverse segment to the pair of front legs (3).
