Abstract

The locking bars (6) are mounted slidably in C-shaped receiving grooves (3) of the leaf (1). The locking bars (6) are of U-shaped cross-section and have lateral legs (7) which are each equipped with a side groove (8) extending over the entire bar length. Each side groove is limited by a lower web of the thickness S1 and an upper web of the thickness S2. The clear height of each side groove has the dimension N. The clear height H1 of the receiving groove (2) is greater than the constructional height H2 of the locking bar (6) by the amount of the web thickness S1. The receiving grooves and the associated locking bars (6) are of identical cross-section on all the spars of the leaf. The receiving grooves (3) have inwardly extending edge strips (5), the constructional height H3 of which is a little smaller than the clear groove height N of the side grooves. There are two installation positions I or II for the locking bars. In the installation position I, the side legs of the locking bar are supported on the bottom face (4) of the receiving groove (3), whilst in the installation position II the locking bar (6) is mounted slidably on the edge strips (5) of the receiving groove (Figure 1). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a window or a door, preferably with a plastic frame, with a locking bar fitting having only a hand lever handle, the locking bars of which are slidably mounted in C-shaped receiving grooves of the casement.

A window or door of this type is known (EP 0 056 484), in which the wing is equipped with a faceplate fitting. These faceplate rail fittings are prefabricated installation units which have a faceplate on which the locking bar provided with locking pins is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable. The locking pins extend through elongated holes in the face plate, which has a cover and fastening function. The faceplate rail unit on the handle side is equipped with a gearbox that is operated via a hand lever.

These faceplate mounting units have for connection to other fitting units, e.g. Corner deflections, in each case form-fitting coupling devices that extend over a certain range, e.g. 100 mm can be cut to length so that they can be adapted to different window dimensions. However, this adaptability is not sufficient for the large number of different window sizes, so that a large inventory of faceplate installation units is required in the factories producing windows and doors.

In the faceplate fittings, the faceplate and locking bar are designed as stamped sheet metal parts in order to achieve the lowest possible installation height. All forces occurring on the locking elements must be absorbed by the locking bar, which transfers these loads to the faceplate. High surface pressures occur in the contact area, which means that the fitting is stiff.

The faceplate is generally attached to the plastic profile of the casement by screws or other fastening elements. These fasteners must absorb the loads. In the case of plastics, however, the transferable surface pressure is low, so that in the known embodiment there is a risk of the fastening elements being overloaded. There is also the fact that lubrication is absolutely necessary for the faceplate fittings because of the friction pairing steel on steel. Relubrication of such faceplate rail fittings in the installed state is difficult, however, since the surfaces to be provided with lubricating grease are located in an area which is covered by the faceplate and is not accessible from the outside. In the known aluminum window and door systems, fitting receiving grooves are provided in which the locking bars are completely guided, the locking bars filling the receiving grooves. The locking rollers are inserted into the U- or C-shaped locking rods so that the locking forces acting on the locking rollers are also transmitted to the frame profile via the locking rod. In addition to tolerance additions, which are noticeable as gear play, lubrication of the sliding surfaces is required for perfect locking bar function.

Another disadvantage of the known locking bar fittings (DE-A-3047246) arises in the upper horizontal area of the sash in the tilt and turn version in which the opening device is provided. The display devices are anchored in the fitting receiving groove of the upper casement spar for reasons of space, so that a specially designed locking bar is then required for the long-band locking of the display device. A housing is used to guide this locking bar, on which the articulation points of the scissor arms are also provided with respect to the sash frame.

The invention has for its object to design a window or door of the type mentioned in such a way that a locking bar design can be used in the area of all spars of the casement and the associated various fittings can be connected or combined with this locking bar in such a way that closing and Locking forces are introduced directly into the casement profile.

This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

In the locking bar fitting according to the invention, the faceplate, its fastening elements for fixing to the sash frame spar and the means for slidably mounting the locking bar adjacent to the faceplate are eliminated. The U-shaped locking bar used is either slidably mounted on the bottom of the receiving groove of the respective casement spar or slidably on the edge strips of the receiving groove. If other fitting parts have to be connected to the locking bar, the connection is made by a simple plug-in connection, in which a pin of the fitting part is inserted into a hole in the locking bar. These fitting parts are also guided on a wall or on the edge strips of the receiving groove. Power is transferred from the fitting parts directly to the sash frame via these guide surfaces. The locking bars and the fittings can be made of plastic be so that there is no lubrication of these parts in operation.

The sash 1 and the frame 2 of the embodiment shown in the drawings consist of plastic hollow chamber profiles which are mitred in the corners and welded together. The sash 1 is circumferentially equipped with a C-shaped receiving groove 3, in or on which locking bars and other fitting parts are slidably mounted or fixed. The receiving groove has the same cross-section in the area of all the spars of the casement and has a clear height Hi between a bottom surface 4 and inwardly projecting edge strips 5. The locking bar 6 assigned to the receiving groove 3 is U-shaped in cross section. The legs 7 of this locking bar have an outwardly open side groove which extends over the entire length of the bar and has a clear height N. Each side groove is delimited by a lower web with the thickness S1 and an upper web with the thickness S2. The clear height H, the receiving groove 3 is by the web thickness S1 greater than the height H 2 of the locking bar 6. The edge strips 5 of the receiving groove have a height H 3 , which is a little smaller than the clear groove height N of the side grooves.

Due to these designs and dimensions of the locking bar and the receiving groove, it is possible to slide the locking bar in two operating positions in or on the receiving groove. The first operating position is designated by I in FIG. 1. In the operating position I, the locking bar 6 assumes the position drawn in solid lines. It is supported with its legs 7 on the bottom surface 4 of the receiving groove and is slidably supported relative to the bottom surface. The bottom 8 of the locking bar faces the opening of the receiving groove, which is delimited by the edge strips 5.

Der Boden 8 der Riegelstange liegt innerhalb der Aufnahmenut 3.The second possible operating position of the locking bar 6 is designated by 11. In this operating position, which is shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1, the edge strips 5 engage in the side grooves of the locking bar 6. The locking bar is slidably mounted on these edge strips. The bottom 8 of the locking bar lies within the receiving groove 3.

In the rotary tilting version shown in the drawings, the locking bars 6 in the receiving grooves 3 of the lower and the upper horizontal wing frame spar 9, 10 and the vertical hinge-side wing frame spar 11 assume the operating position I, in which the lateral legs of the locking bars on the bottom surface 4 of the receiving groove support and are slidably mounted against this surface, while the locking bar in the handle-side sash frame occupies the operating position 11 and is thus slidably mounted on the edge strips 5 of the receiving groove. In the in the drawings Tilt-and-turn windows shown, two types of latch pieces are used. One design is shown in FIGS. 12 and 13 and the second in FIGS. 14 and 15.

The locking piece 12 according to FIGS. 12 and 13 has an anchoring pin 13 which is inserted into a bore in the associated locking bar 6 and is designed as a hollow pin in the exemplary embodiment shown. The locking piece 12 is also provided with a plate 14 which is equipped with side grooves on the long sides. The edge strips 5 of the receiving groove 3 engage in these side grooves, so that the locking piece 12 is slidably mounted on the edge strips 5 of the receiving groove. On the side opposite the anchoring pin 13, a bearing pin 16 is provided on the locking piece, on which a metal roller 17 is rotatably mounted. This metal roller has at its upper edge a recess 18 into which the plasticized material of the journal 16 is molded, so that after cooling and the associated shrinkage of the material, despite the positive connection between the journal and the metal roller, this is necessary for the rotatability of the metal roller necessary play occurs compared to the bearing journal.

From the sectional view of FIG. 12 it follows that the bearing pin 16 has a stepped cylindrical outer contour and the inner contour of the metal roller 17 corresponds to this outer contour of the bearing pin.

Die Gestaltung und Ausbildung des Lagerzapfens im Bereich der Metallrolle und die Gestaltung der Metallrolle entsprechen dem Ausführungsbeispiel nach der Fig. 12.14 and 15 has a rectangular plate 20, which is equipped in the region of its lower longitudinal edges with sliding runners 21 and is slidably supported on the bottom surface 4 of the receiving groove 3 with these runners. The bearing pin 22 is inserted through a hole in the bottom of the locking bar 6, which assumes the operating position I. The bearing pin 22 extends through the space of the locking bar, which is delimited by the legs 7 and has the spacing B between the legs. In an advantageous embodiment, the journal 22 has a diameter which corresponds to the internal dimension B of the locking bar. This ensures that when installing the locking bar according to operating position 11, the journal 22 is held transversely to the locking bar over the entire height H 2 and can be supported when the locking forces occur.
