Locking device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the push-rod (62) acting upon the retention devices (55) slides transversely to the operating device (29) in the case (5) and interacts in each of its extreme positions with an abutting plane (75, 76) and that the distance (77) between the abutting planes (75, 76) is equal to the length of travel of the handle.

Locking device according to claim 3, characterized by the fact that the operating device (29) includes the abutting planes (75, 76) interacting with a transverse slide (68) situated on the rear face (67) of the push-rod (62) and square-shaped apertures (73, 74) of which the upper edges of the vertical branch and of the horizontal branch constitute the abutting planes (75, 76).

Locking device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the elastic device recalling the hooked bolt (10) is a double inverse recall device (78) recalling the operating device (29) from mid-travel, either into the open position or into the closed position, such double inverse recall device (78) having two rockers (84, 85) supplied with a head (86, 89) of which one (86) interacts with a seating (87) of the operating device (29) and the other (89) interacts with the case (5), these two rockers (84, 85) being linked by an elastic device (79).
6 Locking device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that it includes means of adjustment of the nominal length of projection of the push-rod (62).
7. Locking device according to claim 6, characterized by the fact that the means of adjustment are screws (91, 92) and counter-screw (93) arranged at the ends (94, 95) of the case (5) and holding the locking device (4) fast to the sliding leaf (3).

Locking device according to claims 1 and 7, characterized by the fact that the attachment of the locking device (4) on the inside wall (2) of the sliding leaf (3) includes at one end (94) a swivel pin (97) in a boss (96) held by a screw (91) and allowing a slight oscillation controlled at the other end (95) by a screw (92) and counter-screw (93).
