Definitions
- the invention relates to an alpine ski for use in the various disciplines of skiing (downhill skiing, slalom, giant slalom, touring skiing, ski hiking, etc.), for the various types of slopes (prepared and unprepared terrain, deep snow, worn slopes, etc.) and for the most varied types of snow ( Powder snow, wet and sulz snow, hard snow, hard piste, icy slopes, etc.).
- skis pose the problem for ski athletes and consequently also for ski manufacturers that they have a ski that can be used universally, i.e. regardless of the type of ski sport practiced, different terrain, different slope types, different types of snow and different piste conditions to have a ski that is easy and safe to drive.
- the ski must be flutter-free and easy to grip for the descent on prepared and possibly still hard slopes, but at the same time it must be easy to turn when swinging and wagging.
- the front part up to the transition into the shovel and the rear part.
- the front part in particular must be relatively soft and flexible or elastic in the vertical direction, but at the same time have a high restoring force with a largely excluded restoring time.
- the harder skis are more suitable for downhill skiing on groomed and especially hard ones Slope, but less so in unprepared terrain and especially in deep snow.
- a compromise has been chosen as soft a combination as possible, there are particular disadvantages in the form of flutter, insufficient guidance during downhill skiing, slalom and swinging / wagging on prepared, fixed slopes.
- the short skis offered as an alternative, as well as the so-called mid skis are easy to ride and easy to turn on soft slopes or slopes with powder snow pads. However, they have unsatisfactory driving characteristics on stuck slopes and especially on icy slopes. Conversely, the behavior of longer skis when skiing in deep snow is inadequate.
- the invention has for its object to provide a ski of the type mentioned in which, while avoiding the disadvantages of the known constructions, the easy and safe driveability is achieved on different terrain, on different slopes, under different snow conditions and in the various disciplines of skiing .
- the ski according to the invention consists of the middle part 1, the front part 2 and the rear part 3.
- the middle part 1 is box-shaped (rectangular cross-section, trapezoidal cross-section, curved top).
- Fig. 6 the box-shaped central part is shown with a rectangular cross section. Due to this shape and appropriately chosen material, the middle part is essentially rigid. It has guide edges 6, 6 ', which are attached at right angles and in a known manner on the outer sides of the tread of the ski.
- the front part 2 and also the rear part 3 of the ski have a reduced thickness (height) compared to the middle part 1 and have guide edges 5, 5 'on the outer sides of the tread, which, in contrast to the guide edges 6, 6', of the middle part 1 of the plane of the tread are bevelled towards the top, expediently at an angle of 10 °, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7.
- Front part 2 and rear part 3 of the ski are in contrast to the central part 1 in the basic structure, ie without the compensating elements 7, 8, 9/10, 13, 15/16 or 18/19 described below, in the vertical upwards easily bendable, elastic and springy and torsional in the longitudinal axis.
- the length ratio of middle part 1, front part 2 and rear part 3 to one another preferably corresponds approximately to the numerical ratio 3: 2: 1.
- compensating elements 7 made of soft, but permanently elastic material, such as soft plastic, silicone, rubber or the like, are used in the area 4 of the front part and the rear part of the ski from its top on both outer sides. These vaporize and prevent excessive vertical movements of the front part 2 of the ski with the shovel and / or the rear part 3; on the other hand, the front and rear parts spring back quickly to the zero position of the ski.
- the number, width and height of the compensation elements as well as their degree of hardness are to be chosen taking into account the material of the ski and its rigidity.
- the compensating elements can also be inserted firmly, but releasably, into the ski and thus be exchangeable.
- the compensating elements 8 are in the regions 4 ′ of the front part 2 and the rear part 3 of the ski, and in the middle of the surface of the ski between two opposite compensating elements 8 additional adjustable compensation elements 9/10 attached.
- the compensating elements 8 essentially correspond to the compensating elements 7 described above; they are only adapted at their inner end to the shape of the compensating element 9/10.
- the compensation element 9/10 as can be seen in FIGS. 9-13, has a circular shape in its entirety.
- part 9 consists of hard, inelastic material, such as hard plastic, metal or the like; this part 9 extends in the base over the largest part of the circular area and is on 2 sides bounded by the circumference.
- parts 10 of the compensating element On two opposite sides circular sections are made which form the parts 10 of the compensating element and in turn consist of soft, permanently elastic material like the compensating elements 7 or 8 and are permanently connected to the part 9.
- the compensating elements 9/10 expediently have a rotary slot 11 in part 9 on the upper side.
- the compensating elements 9/10 are inserted flush in the recesses 12 made in the surface of the ski, but can be rotated in the horizontal plane.
- the soft, permanently elastic parts 10 together with the compensating elements 8 interact with the ski.
- part 9 of the compensating element establishes a firm connection of the ski surface, which essentially corresponds to that in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-4.
- two parallel rows of the adjustable compensating elements 9/10 are attached in the region 4 ′′ of the front part 2 and the rear part 3 of the ski, each of which adjoins a compensating element 8.
- the compensating elements 13 are flush, but removable in recesses 14 on the top of the ski in the middle, the merge laterally into the compensating elements 8 described.
- the compensating elements 13 can, as required, be soft and permanently elastic like the compensating elements 8, but can also have a higher degree of hardness up to the solid, inelastic material. This embodiment also makes it possible to use compensating elements 13 of different degrees of hardness in the individual recesses 14 of the front part and / or the rear part of the ski or to choose a different configuration in the front part than in the rear part.
- FIGS. 17-19 show an embodiment in which, instead of the compensating elements 9/10 in FIGS. 8-13, in the regions 4 '' '' of the front part and the rear part of the ski, compensating elements 15 made of soft, permanently elastic and airtight and liquid-tight material are let in in the transverse direction, which have a chamber 16.
- This chamber 16 is supplied with compressed air or a liquid, e.g. Hydraulic oil, filled, whereby the pressure is maintained as required and the damping factor is determined.
- the compensating element adjoins the compensating elements 8 on the top of the ski, but can also form a unit with these.
- mutually independent compensating elements 15, according to the invention there can be a plurality of chambers 16 connected to one another by tubes, in which the air or liquid can change from one chamber 16 into the other when the ski is used, depending on the pressure acting on it.
- the guide rail 18 is inserted in the longitudinal direction of the ski, in which the Sliding bar 19 is flush with the operating handle 20, but is slidably inserted in the longitudinal direction.
- the length of the guide rail 18 is such that the sliding bar 19 can be pushed in completely over the area 4 '''''with the compensating elements 7, but conversely it can also be pushed out completely from this area.
- the sliding bar 19 again consists of softer, more elastic or harder, less elastic material up to the fully rigid hard material.
- the sliding bar fully or partially inserted in the guide rail 18 in the region 4 ′′ ′′ interacts with the compensating elements 7.
- the compensating elements are in all embodiments of the ski according to the invention from the transition of the central part 1 into the front part 2 in the direction of the ski tip on the one hand and from the transition of the central part 1 into the rear part 3 in the direction of the rear end of the ski on the other hand appropriate.
- the number and size of the compensating elements in the ski according to the invention are not fixed. They depend on the desired basic design of the ski. Thus, it is within the scope of the invention to attach only one opposing pair of compensating elements 7 or only one opposing pair of compensating elements 8 in connection with an intermediate compensating element 9/10. It is also within the scope of the invention to use different compensating elements in the front part 2 of the ski on the one hand and in the rear part 3 of the ski on the other hand, e.g. Compensating elements 8, 9/10 in the front part and compensating elements 7 in the rear part. Similarly, different compensation elements can be combined in the same area of the front part of the ski or the rear part, e.g. Compensating elements 7 with compensating elements 8, 9/10 adjoining in the longitudinal direction or alternately.
- oval elements made of hard, inelastic material can be used without attached soft, elastic parts 10. It is equally conceivable to use conical screw elements as a compensating element, the compensating effect of which changes depending on the screwing depth, or eccentric.
- the invention enables combinations of a largely rigid middle part with high torsional strength, on the one hand, with a front part and a rear part of the ski, which have high torsional capacity and thus adapt to the respective conditions of use of the ski in the desired manner.
- the compensating elements create a smooth, flowing transition from the middle part to the front part and to the rear part of the ski, but the compensating elements have a high elasticity and therefore the return of the front part and / or the rear part from the "deflection" in accordance with the respective base to the original shape without Secure the deceleration torque and enable a predetermined (defined) torsion.
- the achievement of a high torsion in the area of the front part and the rear part of the ski avoids unwanted excessive engagement of the edges in all types of use and under all conditions of use of the ski, i.e. Tilting the ski, but at the same time not only ensures the necessary amount of edge grip in the area of the middle part, but also in the area of the front and rear part.
- the result is a ski that is easy to turn, but at the same time stable on groomed and hard slopes, with no flutter.
- the easier rotatability of the ski according to the invention is further increased when using the described beveled edges on the front and rear parts of the ski.
- the compensating elements is that compared to the conventional ski design, the bias of the front and rear of the ski can be increased, which, as mentioned, brings better, but softer ground contact of the front and rear of the ski and at the same time reinforces the edge engagement of the middle part enables.
- adjustable compensating elements as shown in Fig. 10-14 or 17-19, and also in the ski with interchangeable compensating elements according to Fig. 15 and 16, as well as in the ski with sliding bar and guide rail according to Fig.
- ski 20-22 It is possible to give the same ski different stiffness or hardness in the front part and / or in the rear part by appropriate adjustment or choice of the compensation elements depending on the type and location of use, with corresponding adaptation of the skiing properties to the terrain, type of snow, etc. Likewise, the ski can Body weight of the user can be adjusted. If two or more compensating elements lying on the two outer sides of the ski are used in accordance with FIG. 14, there is the further advantage that a different torsion of the inside and the outside of the ski can be achieved.
- the ski according to the invention thus combines the advantages of long, mid and short skis and represents a universally usable ski for the various disciplines of skiing, types of slopes, types of snow, etc.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an alpine ski for use in the various disciplines of skiing (downhill skiing, slalom, giant slalom, touring skiing, ski hiking, etc.), for the various types of slopes (prepared and unprepared terrain, deep snow, worn slopes, etc.) and for the most varied types of snow ( Powder snow, wet and sulz snow, hard snow, hard piste, icy slopes, etc.).
With the exception of pure sporting events, in which the participants can choose a ski specifically designed for the individual specific run or the upcoming discipline and also - depending on the nature of the slope and type of snow - the ski that appears to be particularly suitable, for example in downhill races Choosing skis poses the problem for ski athletes and consequently also for ski manufacturers that they have a ski that can be used universally, i.e. regardless of the type of ski sport practiced, different terrain, different slope types, different types of snow and different piste conditions to have a ski that is easy and safe to drive. For example, the ski must be flutter-free and easy to grip for the descent on prepared and possibly still hard slopes, but at the same time it must be easy to turn when swinging and wagging. In deep snow, the ski must avoid "piercing" with an elastic, softer shovel and ensure the necessary buoyancy. The necessary grip when swinging sideways, bowing and wagging must be ensured while avoiding the risk of canting, which arises in particular on the outside of the ski. The need for a universal Skis that can be used in the aforementioned sense become particularly clear on ski tours in which the skier encounters a wide variety of terrain, types of snow, types of slopes, etc.
Special problem areas for such a ski are the front part up to the transition into the shovel and the rear part. The front part in particular must be relatively soft and flexible or elastic in the vertical direction, but at the same time have a high restoring force with a largely excluded restoring time.
Almost all manufacturers of skis have already tried to create such universally usable skis. A wide variety of materials and material combinations (plastic, wood, metal, combinations of different plastics, plastic / metal combinations, etc.) and also different thicknesses (heights) of the skis have been selected. All known constructions, however, have the disadvantage that the selected material or the material combinations and the respective structure cannot be changed, and therefore cannot adapt to the different circumstances of skiing. Insofar as some of the providers use a construction with a medium hardness / flexibility of the front part and / or the rear part of the ski as a compromise, unsatisfactory driving characteristics occur in particular on hard downhill slopes. At the same time, such skis are too hard or too little elastic for powder snow slopes and especially in deep snow. The harder skis are more suitable for downhill skiing on groomed and especially hard ones Slope, but less so in unprepared terrain and especially in deep snow. As far as a compromise has been chosen as soft a combination as possible, there are particular disadvantages in the form of flutter, insufficient guidance during downhill skiing, slalom and swinging / wagging on prepared, fixed slopes. The short skis offered as an alternative, as well as the so-called mid skis, are easy to ride and easy to turn on soft slopes or slopes with powder snow pads. However, they have unsatisfactory driving characteristics on stuck slopes and especially on icy slopes. Conversely, the behavior of longer skis when skiing in deep snow is inadequate.
The invention has for its object to provide a ski of the type mentioned in which, while avoiding the disadvantages of the known constructions, the easy and safe driveability is achieved on different terrain, on different slopes, under different snow conditions and in the various disciplines of skiing .
This object is achieved by the features listed in the characterizing part of

The ski according to the invention consists of the
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-4, compensating
In a further development of the invention, in the embodiment of the ski, as shown in FIGS. 8-11, the compensating
Also in a continuation of the invention, as shown in detail in FIG. 14, two parallel rows of the adjustable compensating
In a further development of the invention, FIGS. 17-19 show an embodiment in which, instead of the compensating
As a further embodiment of the invention Skis is in Fig. 20-22 in the areas 4 '''''of the
As a further, particularly advantageous embodiment, the attachment of the compensating elements described above to a ski according to
The compensating elements are in all embodiments of the ski according to the invention from the transition of the
The number and size of the compensating elements in the ski according to the invention are not fixed. They depend on the desired basic design of the ski. Thus, it is within the scope of the invention to attach only one opposing pair of compensating
Instead of the
Der erfindungsgemäße Ski hat gegenüber den bekannten namentlich folgende Vorteile:The ski according to the invention has the following advantages over the known ones:
In the basic structure of the ski, the invention enables combinations of a largely rigid middle part with high torsional strength, on the one hand, with a front part and a rear part of the ski, which have high torsional capacity and thus adapt to the respective conditions of use of the ski in the desired manner. The compensating elements create a smooth, flowing transition from the middle part to the front part and to the rear part of the ski, but the compensating elements have a high elasticity and therefore the return of the front part and / or the rear part from the "deflection" in accordance with the respective base to the original shape without Secure the deceleration torque and enable a predetermined (defined) torsion.
The achievement of a high torsion in the area of the front part and the rear part of the ski avoids unwanted excessive engagement of the edges in all types of use and under all conditions of use of the ski, i.e. Tilting the ski, but at the same time not only ensures the necessary amount of edge grip in the area of the middle part, but also in the area of the front and rear part. The result is a ski that is easy to turn, but at the same time stable on groomed and hard slopes, with no flutter. The easier rotatability of the ski according to the invention is further increased when using the described beveled edges on the front and rear parts of the ski.
Another advantage of the ski according to the invention the compensating elements is that compared to the conventional ski design, the bias of the front and rear of the ski can be increased, which, as mentioned, brings better, but softer ground contact of the front and rear of the ski and at the same time reinforces the edge engagement of the middle part enables. By using adjustable compensating elements, as shown in Fig. 10-14 or 17-19, and also in the ski with interchangeable compensating elements according to Fig. 15 and 16, as well as in the ski with sliding bar and guide rail according to Fig. 20-22 It is possible to give the same ski different stiffness or hardness in the front part and / or in the rear part by appropriate adjustment or choice of the compensation elements depending on the type and location of use, with corresponding adaptation of the skiing properties to the terrain, type of snow, etc. Likewise, the ski can Body weight of the user can be adjusted. If two or more compensating elements lying on the two outer sides of the ski are used in accordance with FIG. 14, there is the further advantage that a different torsion of the inside and the outside of the ski can be achieved.
The ski according to the invention thus combines the advantages of long, mid and short skis and represents a universally usable ski for the various disciplines of skiing, types of slopes, types of snow, etc.
