Description

The present invention relates to a pull-out clothes dryer according to the preamble of claim 1.

Tumble dryers, the arms of which can be telescopically extended and pushed together, are already known and have been available in various designs on the market for years. If such a tumble dryer is hung in the fully extended state with wet and therefore comparatively heavy laundry, the telescopic arms may be subjected to heavy loads. On the other hand, it is desirable that such a tumble dryer can be operated effortlessly and reliably; Despite the high load, the individual elements of the telescopic arms must always be properly guided and thus easily pushed into one another or pulled apart without sagging or jamming of the individual parts.

With a tumble dryer of the generic type described in DE-PS 22 06 265, these problems could be solved well and such tumble dryers have proven themselves in practical operation for a long time. On the other hand, it is disadvantageous in this tumble dryer that the laundry rods used to hold the freshly washed items of laundry tend to become dirty, even when the tumble dryer is in an unused, pushed-together state. Another disadvantage of such a tumble dryer is that the pulling it apart from the rest position into the operational state is more or less uncontrolled. Especially with uneven actuation, e.g. If only one telescopic arm is pulled out, there is also the risk that the individual elements of the telescopic arm will tilt and become damaged. At most, this does not have a disadvantage if it is intended anyway to use the entire capacity of the tumble dryer, i.e. when it is fully extended and when both telescopic arms are pulled out together evenly. However, it is very often the case that the tumble dryer is only used partially, i.e. that only one laundry stick or a few of the available laundry sticks have to be pulled out. When observing the smallest possible space requirement and taking into account the fact that most of the unused laundry sticks should be secured against soiling, it follows that this objective in the known tumble dryer according to DE-PS 22 06 265 is partly not at all, partly only with Effort is to be achieved.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to improve or further develop a tumble dryer of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that, while maintaining the proven advantages, it can also be achieved that, on the one hand, the unused laundry sticks are always secured against soiling and that a part of the entire clothes dryer on the other hand to precisely defined manner, to be taken by selective extraction of individual laundry bars in operation, in which the unused laundry bars nevertheless remain protected from contamination, and wherein the Ge - driving of tilting of the elements of the telescopic arms is largely eliminated.

These objects of the invention are achieved by a clothes dryer which has the features specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Preferred embodiments and developments of the subject matter of the invention are defined in the dependent claims 2 to 6.

  • Fig. 6 is a partially sectioned side view through the clothes dryer, partially pulled out, on an enlarged scale.

In Fig. 1, a clothes dryer is shown schematically in the extended state. It has two telescopic arms 1 and 2, one telescopic arm 1 having a number of sliders 3 to 9 and the other telescopic arm 2 having an equal number of sliders 10 to 16. The number of sliders can be chosen according to the desired absorption capacity of the tumble dryer.

On each slide a bearing pin 17 to 30 is arranged laterally, which is used to receive the free end of an assigned laundry bar 31. Two corresponding sliders, i.e. Two directly opposite sliders, for example slider 3 and 10 or slider 4 and 11 or slider 5 and 12 etc., form a fixed unit together with the assigned laundry bar 31, whereby the stability of the telescopic arms 1 and 2 is improved.

In order that the sliders 3 to 9 and 10 to 16 can be pushed into one another, corresponding recesses are provided in the slides. Those sliders that have to accommodate a subsequent slider have a rectangular hollow profile. As can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, the slider 3 to 8 and the slider 10 to 15 slots 33 to 38 are recessed in a side wall, in which the bearing pins 18 to 23 are received when the telescopic arm 1 is pushed together. In a corresponding manner, the slides 10 to 15 are provided with slots (not shown in the drawings), which the bearings pick up pins 25 to 30 when the telescopic arm 2 is pushed together.

10 gehalten ist, bleibt stationär und ist deshalb gegen unten versetzt angeordnet, dies im Interesse einer geringen Tiefenausdehnung des Wäschetrockners in Ruhelage.2 shows that the slots are of unequal length; the slot 38 only needs to receive one laundry bar 31, while the slot 37 has a length for receiving two laundry bars 31, the slot 36 has a length for receiving three laundry bars 31 etc. It is thereby achieved that the two telescopic arms 1 and 2 can be pushed together to a minimum length which only corresponds to the length of the rearmost wall-side slide 3 or 10. The rearmost wall-side laundry bar 31 ', which is held by the bearing pins 17 and 24 on the sliders 3 and 10, remains stationary and is therefore offset from one another, in the interest of a small depth extension of the clothes dryer in the rest position.

The two webs 32 on the rearmost slide valves 3 and 10 are used to insert the two telescopic arms 1 and 2 from above into holding members (not shown), which are attached, for example, to a wall (not shown in more detail). The arrangement of the bearing pins 17 and 24 of the slider 3 and 10 below the slots 33 creates a sufficient distance from the wall for hanging laundry.

This construction of a tumble dryer, which has proven itself per se, is now, in accordance with the task mentioned at the outset, improved in accordance with the invention by providing a hood which extends between the two telescopic arms 1 and 2 and which has an essentially L-shaped cross section. 3 to 6, this hood is generally designated 39. The hood 39 is preferably formed by an L-shaped profile made of aluminum sheet and thus comprises a top leg 40 and a front leg 41; the two legs 40 and 41 together form an angle of approximately 90 ° . The hood 39 is pivotally attached in the region of the two free, rear corners of the upper leg 40 to the two rearmost, wall-side sliders 3 and 10, the associated pivot axis being designated by 42 in FIGS. 4 to 6. This pivot bearing can follow in any suitable manner known per se, so that there is no need to go into this at this point.

Furthermore, the two sliders 3 and 10 mentioned are equipped with stop pins 43 (see FIG. 6) which are attached to mutually directed inner sides of the box section of the slider and against which the front edge of the upper leg 40 of the hood 39 is supported. This arrangement ensures that all laundry sticks 31 which are located within the area of the rearmost slider 3 or 10, i.e. are inserted into the slots 33, covered by the hood 39 and are thus effectively protected against contamination.

This can be seen clearly from the illustration in FIG. 4, which represents a section along the line IV-IV in FIG. 3. 3 also makes it clear that the tumble dryer proposed according to the invention in the pushed-together state, i.e. when the telescopic arms 1 and 2 are fully retracted, they form a compact, attractive unit that is protected against dust and other dirt. Also contributing to this are the cover plates 44, which are attached at the ends to the foremost sliders 9 and 16, the width and height of which correspond approximately to the width and height of the rearmost sliders 3 and 10 on the wall. Thus, the fundamentally open front of the rearmost slider 3 or 10 is also covered when telescopic arms 1 and 2 are pushed together and the interior is secured against contamination.

It has proven to be advantageous to produce the hood 39 from aluminum sheet or plastic, not only because this is an easy-to-work and corrosion-resistant material, but also because an appealing exterior is easily colored by optionally colored or, in the case of aluminum, by anodic Oxidation can be achieved. However, it goes without saying that other suitable materials, e.g. Iron sheet, etc. can be used.

The hood 39 is provided along the free lower edge of the front leg 41 with an inwardly projecting bead 45 with a triangular cross section, which e.g. can be formed by an inward crimping of the edge region of the kels 41. On the one hand, this bead 45 supports the stable holding of the rest position of the hood 39, as shown in FIGS. 3, 4 and 6; on the other hand, the bead 45 prevents the hood 39 from being inadvertently folded up, by deliberately provoking an overlap of the bead 45 over the foremost laundry bar 31 by elastic deformation of the hood 39, as is indicated in FIG. 5 with the hood 39 partially folded up .

The hood 39 not only serves the purpose of protecting unused laundry sticks 31 from soiling; rather, it is also suitable for supporting a partial pulling out of the tumble dryer into a desired position of use. 6 shows a position in which only the two foremost laundry bars 31 are pulled out for use. The next following laundry bar 31 lies against the inner surface of the front leg 41 of the hood 39, so that no further extension of the telescopic arms 1 and 2 is possible. This ensures that the tumble dryer has the precisely desired absorption capacity with a minimal space requirement, and in turn the unused laundry sticks 31 are also protected against soiling.

It is also achieved that the clothes dryer, ie the two telescopic arms, can only be pulled out by a comparatively small amount, since the hood falling back into the rest position prevents further pulling out. While the telescopic arms have a short extension path, as is released by the hood, the elements of the telescopic arms themselves cannot be jammed in a way that could damage their function, even if only one arm is pulled. The downward-pointing tip of the triangular bead on the edge of the hood also favors the separation of the foremost laundry rod, which will soon be pulled out, from the adjacent rod when the hood is raised and released again, since this pointed edge enters the space between the foremost and the subsequent laundry rod will fall.
