Definitions

  • the invention relates to a steam cabin according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Steam booths have been manufactured industrially from plastic for several years. Such cabins, which can also be set up at home, are used for steam bathing. In order to be able to form the desired steam or mist, the relative humidity in the steam cabin must be over 100%. This means that moisture condenses on the cabin wall, but especially on the cabin roof, and causes drops to form there.
  • a water gutter which extends essentially over the entire length of the boundary edge is attached below the lower boundary edges. This can prevent water from dripping from the cabin roof at all.
  • the water gutter can be connected to a drain pipe.
  • a downward-pointing flange-like drip web which extends essentially over the entire length of the boundary edge, is attached to the lower boundary edges.
  • Another advantage of the design of such a drainer is that half of it can be formed by two abutting roof parts, so that the roof parts can be connected to one another simply by screwing the flange-like drains together. In this way it is possible to enlarge the roof simply by adding a further roof part when the steam cabin is planned to be enlarged.
  • the cabin wall is designed in cross-section in the form of a polygon, the boundary edges of the abutting roof parts extending essentially radially inwards from the cabin wall to the axis of symmetry of the cabin wall.
  • the shape of the roof can be compared to an enlarged citrus press.
  • the cabin wall is square in cross section, the boundary edges of the abutting roof parts extending essentially parallel to one side of the cabin wall.
  • the angle of inclination of the roof parts measured relative to the horizontal, is approximately 15-30 °, preferably 25 ° . How many roof parts are to be provided for a canopy essentially depends on the size of the canopy.
  • the 1 shows a steam cabin 1, which is enclosed by a cabin wall 2.
  • the cabin wall 2 consists of two side walls 3 and a front wall 4 and a rear wall 5.
  • the front wall 4 is shown broken out in FIG. 1, so that the viewer of the steam cabin 1 gets an insight into the interior of the steam cabin.
  • the cabin wall 2 is covered by a roof 6, which on the one hand spans the two side walls 3 and on the other hand the front wall 4 and the rear wall 5.
  • the roof 6 consists of several roof surfaces 7, 8, 9 and 10, of which the outer roof surfaces 7 and 8 each incline to the side walls 3, while the inner roof surfaces 9 and 10 are inclined towards one another.
  • the individual roof surfaces 7, 8, 9 and 10 adjoin one another in such a way that the roof 6 assumes an essentially M-shaped shape in cross section.
  • the adjoining roof surfaces form upper boundary edges 11 and a lower boundary edge 12. It is both possible to have the roof surfaces at the boundary edges 11 and 12 subsequently connect with each other as well as form the roof 6 in one piece.
  • boundary edges 11 and 12 run both parallel to one another and parallel to the side walls 3, so that the roof surfaces 7, 8, 9 and 10 are rectangular.
  • a flange-like drip web 13 extending over the entire length of the boundary edge 12 is attached.
  • the drainer is formed by the downwardly angled side edges 14 and 15 of the inner roof surfaces 9 and 10.
  • the two roof halves which are formed on the one hand from the roof surface 7 and 9 and on the other hand from the roof surface 8 and 10, can be screwed together on the flange-like drip web 13.
  • a water collecting channel 16 which surrounds the draining U-shape.
  • the water collecting channel 16 extends over the entire length of the draining web 13 and, depending on the size of the steam cabin 1, is on the front wall 4 and the rear wall 5 and / or the drainer 13 held.
  • the roof surfaces 7, 8, 9 and 10 need not be of the same size.
  • the roof half formed from the roof surfaces 7 and 9 spans a length a of 1 meter.
  • the roof half formed from the roof surfaces 8 and 10 spans a length b of 1.25 meters.
  • the angle of inclination of the roof surfaces 7, 8, 9 and 10 is 25 ° throughout.
  • FIG. 4 shows a further exemplary embodiment according to a second embodiment of the innovation.
  • the cabin wall 2 is formed by walls 17 which are arranged on an octagonal base.
  • the individual roof surfaces 18 and 19 have a triangular shape and extend from the walls 17 of the steam cabin 1 to the central axis M of the cabin wall 2.
  • the roof surfaces 18 and 19 are inclined with respect to one another as in the first embodiment and thus form lower boundary edges in the same way 20.
  • each of the roof surfaces 18 and 19 also has an inclination from the central axis M to the walls 17 of the cabin wall 2.
  • a drip bar and a water collecting channel can be arranged on the lower boundary edges 20.
  • the mode of operation of the innovation is briefly explained below using the first exemplary embodiment.
  • the described mode of action can also be applied to the second exemplary embodiment.
  • mist-like steam vapors are introduced into the interior, which, like in conventional steam cabins, causes condensed water to be deposited on both the cabin wall 2 and the roof 6 of the steam cabin. Due to the relatively short inclined roof surfaces 7, 8, 9 and 10, the water drops run down the roof slope and then either drop into the water collecting channel 16 or run down the side walls 3. The bathers, who are sitting on the indicated benches 21 22, are thus not bothered by water dripping from the ceiling of the steam cabin.
  • the embodiment shown in FIG. 4 with the boundary edges converging in the middle of the steam cabin 1 is not limited to a steam cabin with an octagonal base area. Rather, it is possible to provide this roof design for steam cabins with a round or rectangular base.
  • the boundary edges do not necessarily have to meet in the axis of symmetry of the cabin wall, it is also possible for the intersection of the boundary edges to be eccentric to the central axis.
  • the steam cabin but in particular its roof, is preferably made of plastic.
  • the surface of the roof facing into the interior can be structured, which makes it possible to increase the angle of inclination of the roof slopes without the formation of large drops due to the convergence of several small drops, which would then fall off the roof. Roof surfaces with short, inclined edge lengths can be inclined more gently than those with a longer, inclined edge length.
  • the roof parts do not have to be formed from flat surfaces; they can also be made slightly curved.
  • the surfaces curved in this way can merge into one another at their upper boundary edges without noticeable kinks.
