Abstract

A sports shoe (1) is provided with air chambers underneath a comparatively rigid outer shell (2) such that pressure in these air chambers, i.e., the compression on the foot, can be adjusted by a pump system (5, 6). The design of the pump system is simple, easy to manufacture, compact and operationally reliable due to the valves (14, 15) of the pump system being enclosed in a common housing part (13) separated by a partition (20) from the membrane pump chamber (11). The valves (14, 15) are mounted coaxially in tandem sequence. The evacuating valve (15) can also serve as the pump suction valve and is provided at an end (37) with a manually displaceable stem which, during evacuation of the air chamber, wil make contact with the valve stem (b 32) of the pump pressure valve (14).

Description

The invention relates to a sports shoe and in particular a ski shoe according to the preamble of claim 1.

From DE-OS 2 316 014 a ski boot of this type is known in which the pump pressure valve protrudes into the diaphragm pump chamber in order to be operable from outside via a flap provided in the wall of the diaphragm pump chamber for venting the inflatable air chamber. As a result, the diaphragm pump chamber may only be actuated outside the area provided for the pump pressure valve, so that correct actuation cannot be ensured. In addition, the assembly of the pump pressure valve in the diaphragm pump chamber and on the shoe is complex, as is the assembly of the entire pump device on the shoe.

From DE-OS 33 10 812 a pump device for inflating an air chamber arranged in the interior of a ski boot is known, in which the pump pressure valve is arranged in the wall of the membrane pump chamber. The flow path from the pump chamber to the air chamber is closed by screwing in a closing element. The latter is arranged next to the pump chamber and has a manually operable vent valve, via which the air chamber can be vented when the closing element is released. This pump device is of relatively complex construction and is also not very user-friendly, since the closing element must first be screwed in or unscrewed both for inflating and for venting the air chamber.

Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe erfolgt aufgrund der kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Patentanspruchs 1.The invention has for its object to improve a sports shoe of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be manufactured more easily by a simple, compact construction of its pumping device and enables simple operation of its pumping device with less susceptibility to malfunction. This object is achieved on the basis of the characterizing features of patent claim 1.

By connecting the valves in a separate housing or housing part provided next to the diaphragm pump chamber, the pump can be operated unhindered by pressure on the diaphragm pump chamber without the valves being affected. The existing more compact arrangement of the valves in a separate housing or housing part makes it much easier to mount them on the shoe.

The pump pressure valve and the vent valve are preferably enclosed coaxially with one another in a tubular housing chamber and the vent valve can be operated from the outside via a valve stem.

In order to give the skier an improved hold in the ski boot while skiing, 2 inflatable air chambers 3, 4 are provided below the relatively stiff outer shell, which press against the foot of the skier in a cushion-like manner, the system pressure being activated by actuating one with each air chamber 3 connected pump device 5,6 can be adjusted.

The pumping devices 5, 6 can be provided at various points on the sports shoe, so that their aesthetic and practical aspects, for example with regard to a favorable actuation position, can be taken into account in their arrangement. The dashed line representations 5 ', 5 "indicate further possible positions of the arrangement of a pump device for actuating a front or rear air chamber 3, 4. In the arrangement indicated in the shoe sole 7, a recessed arrangement is recommended, so that there is no effect on the slidability the soh le 7 of the ski boot 1 on a base plate of a ski binding, not shown. To actuate a pumping device 5 ″ sunk in the shoe sole 7, this is placed on an elevation (not shown), in the bottom or on the top of the ski, and a rocking movement is carried out by means of the foot enclosed in the ski shoe 1. The valves of the associated valve arrangement, which in the The following, which will be described in more detail, are expediently arranged for such an arrangement in such a way that their actuation for venting the associated air chamber 3 can take place easily on the side of the ski boot.

According to the exemplary embodiment of a pump device 5, 6 corresponding to the illustrations in FIGS. 2 to 4, a diaphragm pump chamber 11 and an elongate housing part 13 which receives the valve arrangement 12 are formed in one piece from a rubber-elastic material. The valves, i.e. a vent valve 14, also designed as a pump pressure valve, and a pump suction valve 15 in a common rigid sleeve 16, e.g. made of brass, included, which facilitates the assembly of the valves 14, 15 and also an undesired mechanical action, e.g. when pumping, prevented on the valves 14, 15. Radially projecting from this sleeve 16 are two connecting pieces 18, 19, one of which extends through a partition 20 for establishing a connection with the diaphragm pump chamber 11 and the other is provided for the connection with an air chamber 3, 4. In this case, the short connecting piece 18 also anchors the sleeve 16 in the housing part 13 having a lateral mounting opening 22.

For anchoring the pump device of the embodiment of FIGS. 2 to 4, the overall housing 23, which is made of rubber-like material and has the pump chamber 11 and the housing part 13, has a circumferential groove 24 into which the edge 25 of a receiving opening 26 provided in the shoe housing shell 2 engages. The pump device 5, 6 is inserted into this receiving opening 26 by the shoe inside by elastically deforming the outer groove edge 27. A stiffening plate 29 connected to the entire housing 23 on its side facing the interior of the shoe, for example by gluing or vulcanizing, prevents the pumping device from being pushed out of the receiving opening 26.

The valves 14, 15 enclosed in the sleeve 16 are arranged in tandem. The pump pressure valve 14, via which air flows after the elastically deformable diaphragm pump chamber 11 has been depressed, via the connecting piece 19 to the air chamber 3, 4, as is known per se in the case of wheel valves of vehicles, has an actuating shaft 32 enclosed by a helical spring 31, which is used to vent the Air chamber 3, 4 can be depressed, so that the valve closing body 33 is lifted off the valve seat. In order to be able to depress this actuating stem 32, the vent valve 15 is coaxial with the pump pressure valve 14 with its likewise displaceable valve stem, at the end of which the valve closing body 35 is located, at an axial distance 36 therefrom, which is somewhat larger than the stroke occurring during pumping corresponds to the valve closing body 35, and the other end 37 of the valve stem of the vent valve 15 protrudes axially outward over the sleeve 16, so that it can be pushed down by hand until the valve stem 32 of the pump pressure valve 14 is also moved into an open valve position. The actuating end 37 for venting is enclosed, for example, by the elastically deformable housing part 13, so that the valves 14, 15 are arranged in a protected manner. Small openings 34 near the end 37 allow the air to be drawn in.

The common longitudinal axis of the valves 14, 15 runs perpendicular to this outer shell 2 and parallel to Direction of the pumping movement when the rubber-elastic outer wall 40 of the membrane pump chamber 41 is pressed down like a membrane. The housing part 43 enclosing the valve arrangement and its housing sleeve 42 is likewise formed in one piece with the membrane pump chamber 41 from rubber-elastic material, but it projects like a cone outwards over the membrane pump chamber and lifts This clearly differs from this, so that unintentional ventilation when pumping is reliably prevented. The connecting line 45 between the diaphragm pump chamber 41 and the valve arrangement 14, 15, which opens between the two valves 14, 15 into the space 46 enclosed by the housing sleeve 42, runs via a knee 47 parallel to the plane of the shoe outer shell 2, or in this plane, and the connecting piece 48, which establishes the connection with an air chamber 3, 4, runs parallel to it, projecting at a right angle from the housing sleeve 42.

Ihre Kontur ist in Fig.5 durch Strichlinien angedeutet.5 to 7 is connected to the outer shell 2 of the ski boot 1 by means of a plurality of latching hooks 51, 52 provided on an insert 50, which snap into place behind the edge 25 of the receiving opening 26 when the pump device is installed. Their arrangement is indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 5. The insert 50 engages behind an outwardly projecting edge 54 in positive engagement with an inwardly directed fastening flange 55 of the diaphragm pump chamber 41, so that the insert 50 holds the pump device pressed against the outer shell 2 of the ski boot 1. Due to this type of connection, the receiving opening 26 to be provided in this outer shell for the attachment of this pump device according to FIGS. 5 to 7 can be chosen to be smaller than in the previously described exemplary embodiment, as a comparison between FIGS. 2 and 5 shows. Their contour is indicated by dashed lines in Fig.5.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 8 to 10, the housing enclosing the valve arrangement 14, 15 with the sleeve 16 is Part 56 made of an elastically deformable but stiffer material than the cap 57 of the diaphragm pump chamber 58 in one piece with the bottom part 59 of the diaphragm pump chamber 58 and fastened to the ski boot 1 by means of a circumferential groove 62 which engages with the edge 60 of the receiving opening 61. The connecting line 64 between the valve arrangement 14, 15 or its sleeve 16 and the diaphragm pump chamber 58 runs through a wall part 65 which laterally adjoins the base part 59, and the connecting piece 66 leading to an air chamber 3, 4 is fastened to the housing part 56 or to the latter molded. The assembly of the valve arrangement 14, 15 of this exemplary embodiment is carried out by axially inserting the sleeve 16, which includes the valves 14, 15, into the housing part 56, for which, in contrast to the previously described exemplary embodiments, this has a tapered insertion opening 67 with an undercut 68 at one end , behind which the sleeve 16 engages. For the attachment of the rubber-elastic cap 57 to the bottom part 59 of the diaphragm pump chamber 58, a mounting frame 70 is provided, which encloses the cap 57 and thereby fits positively on the radially projecting mounting flange 71 of the cap 57, ie by means of a profiling 72. On the circumference of the fastening frame 70, a plurality of resilient latching hooks 73 are provided, which reach through slot-shaped openings 75 in the edge 76 and in the wall part 65 and reach behind there. Thus, the rubber-elastic cap 57 is exchangeably attached.

The exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 11 to 14 forms a variant of the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 8 to 10 in that the diaphragm pump chamber 80 likewise has a separate, releasable rubber-elastic cap 81 and a base part 82 made of a different material. The bottom part 82 continues on the side of the valve arrangement 14, 15 as a wall part 83 which, together with a housing part 84 of the fastening frame 85, encloses the sleeve 16 of the valve arrangement 14, 15. In a special embodiment of the sports shoe 1, this bottom part 82 together with its lateral one Wall part 83 may be formed by a region of the outer shell 2 of the shoe, or be connected in one piece to the outer shell 2 by this region being shaped accordingly. The mounting frame 85 has several sets of resilient latching hooks 86, 87, some (86) facing inward to encompass the edge of the bottom portion 82 and others (87) facing outward around the edge 88 of the outer shell 2 provided receiving opening 89 behind. In addition, the fastening frame 85 is supported on the outside on this opening edge 88 with its longitudinal edges 90, 91, on which the outward latching hooks 87 are located.

The sleeve 16 enclosed between the wall part 83 and the housing part 84 of the fastening frame 85 is connected to a connecting piece 93 which extends through the side wall 94 of the cap 81. Another socket 95 of the sleeve 16 is guided through the wall 83. This arrangement, which is best visible in FIG. 12, can therefore also be assembled simply by plugging the parts together. The stiffening plate 97 fastened to the outer wall 96 causes a more extensive deformation of the cap 81 during pumping and thus a stronger pumping action.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 15 to 17, the valves 14, 15 of the valve arrangement arranged one behind the other in a row are arranged without a surrounding sleeve 16 directly in a bore 100 which extends through a web 103 formed on the base plate 101 of the pumping device or the diaphragm pump chamber 102 . This web runs over the center of this base plate 101 on the side facing the interior of the shoe. The connection piece 105 for connecting the pump device to an air chamber 3, 4 forms an extension to the valve receiving bore 100 and is formed in one piece with the base plate 101. A transverse bore 106 between the bore 100 and the interior 107 serves as a flow channel of the pump device. Since in this embodiment of the invention Operating end 37 for venting the air chambers 3, 4 is arranged inside the outer shell 2 of the shoe, extends through the base plate 101 and the fastening frame 108, an operating shaft 110, which is provided with a bevel 112 at its end 111 on the operating end 37 of the shaft of the Breather valve 15 is present. A spring 113 holds the actuating shaft 110 in its initial position, so that all that is required for venting is to press on the outwardly projecting end 114 of the actuating shaft 110.

In contrast to the exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 8 to 14, the fastening frame 108 has no latching hooks. Instead, the frame edge 116 has an inner undercut 117 into which latching hooks 118 engage at the edge of the base plate 101 after the rubber-elastic cap 120 has been inserted into the fastening frame 108. These latching hooks 118 pass to the side of the base plate facing the inside of the shoe into inner latching hooks 121 for attachment to the edge 122 of the receiving opening 123 provided in the outer shell 2 of the shoe 1, so that one pair of latching hooks 118, 121 each forms a claw 124 which forms the inner edges 116 and 122 of the mounting frame and the footwear shell includes. This embodiment of the invention also makes it possible to assemble the pump device by means of the fastening frame 108 before it is brought into the receiving opening 123 to snap into place. The radially protruding flange-shaped edge 126 of the rubber-elastic cap 120 is securely held on the base plate 101 by inwardly abutting a circumferential rib 127 of the base plate 101 and is additionally in positive engagement with corresponding profiles of the base plate 101 and the fastening frame 108 by means of profiling grooves 128, 129 .

Instead of using the vent valve 15 to suck the air into the diaphragm pump chamber 11, 41, 58, 80, 102, as has been explained above, an additional suction valve can be provided which opens into the pump chamber. Such an intake valve is shown schematically in FIGS. 11 and 12 and designated 130. This suction valve 130, which is known per se and is designed as a check valve in the manner of a diaphragm valve, is inserted into the base plate 59 of the pump chamber 58.

If such a suction valve 130 is provided, the ventilation valve 15 can still be designed as an additional pump suction valve, but in this case it is expedient to simplify the construction to design the valve 15 exclusively as a ventilation valve.

It goes without saying that an additional intake valve 130 can also be provided in all other exemplary embodiments.
