Claims (8)

1. A device for applying a pasty product, in particular a cosmetic product such as lipstick, presented in stick form, comprising: a tubular element (3) with a slide (4) wherein there is slidably mounted a cup (9) intended to accomodate the stick (2) of the product and comprising at least one stub (10, 11) engaged in the slide; a cylindrical shell (12), in the wall whereof, provision is made for at least one helical groove (13, 14), this shell (12) being fitted on the tubular element (3) and being retained on this latter by stop means (B1, B2) at its two axial ends, the stub or stubs of the cup being engaged in the helical groove(s) of the shell; and, possibly, en external casing (15), a metallic one in particular, wherein the shell (12) is secured, whilst the tubular element can turn in relation to the said shell and casing, the unit being such that when the tubular element is caused to turn in relation to the shell, the cooperation of the stub or stubs of the cup with the helix produces an axial movement of the cup and the emergence or retraction of the stick of the product, according to the direction of rotation, via an outlet end of the tubular element, elastic stop means being provided towards the end of the tubular element (3) remote from the outlet end (17), and being capable of bearing egainst the adjoining egde (22) of the cylindrical shell (12) and/or of the casing (15) when the latter have been fitted on the tubular element (3), the above mentioned elastic stop means (21) pushing the said shell (12) along a direction parallel to the axial direction against the stop means (B 1) provided at the other end, the elastic stop means (21) comprising a boss (23) projecting radially towards the outside provided on a flexible strip (24) of the wall of the tubular element (3), this flexible strip (24) being orientated transversely in relation to the axis (A-A) of the tubular element (3), characterized in that the strip is defined by two transverse holes (27, 28) provided on either side of the said strip (24).
2. A device according to claim 1, characterized in that the flexible strip (24) is constituted by a portion of the wall of the tubular element (3), generally made of a plastic material.
3. A device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the flexible strip (24) is orientated along the circumferential direction, orthogonally to the axis (A-A) of the tubular element (3).
4. A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the elastic stop means (21) are provided at two diametrically opposed points of the tubular element (3).
5. A device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the elastic stop means (21) are situated along the circumference at right angles in relation to two diametrically opposed slides (4, 5) of the tubular element (3).
6. A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tubular element (3) comprises a zone (25) with a larger diameter, in front of a knob (7), forming a shoulder (26) at the level of the transition to the major portion of the tubular element (3); the flexible strip (24) is provided in this zone (25) adjoining the shoulder (26), and the boss (23) projects along a direction parallel to the axis (A-A) of the tubular element (3) in relation to the shoulder (26).
7. A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the elastic stop means (21), in particular the boss (23) have a sufficiently large radial dimension to rub against the inner surface (29) of the casing (15) and to serve as a lateral restraint.
8. A tubular element for a device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that it is fitted on its external wall towards its end remote from the outlet end (17), with elastic stop means (21) capable of bearing against the adjoining egde (22) of the cylindrical shell (12) and/or of the casing (15) when the latter have been fitted on the tubular element (3), the above mentioned elastic stop means (21) pushing the said shell (12) against the stop means (B1) provided at the other end.
