Description

The invention relates to a frame or sash for windows or doors, the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Main professional bars and filling terminal strips for such frames have been sold by Gebrüder Kömmerling Kunststoffwerke GmbH for years together with construction instructions for the construction of such blind and casement frames. The main profile consists of a rectangular basic profile, in which a recess for fitting parts can be embedded.

The main profile bar has a groove at three corners, into which a filling clamp strip can be snapped. At the third corner there is a stop rib extruded in one piece with the main profile bar, which, depending on the use of the profile bar, serves to hold a filling - usually glazing - and also serves as a stop rib with which, for example, the sash strikes against a frame. In the case of fixed glazing, this stop rib, which normally sits on the outside, unless it is located on an inwardly opening wing, can also serve to hold the glazing.

After inserting the glazing against this fixed stop rib, the filling gill strip is snapped into place in the groove opposite it, so that the glazing is held in place. In many cases, the main profile is also designed such that a second stop rib is provided diagonally opposite the stop rib, which is then also extruded in one piece with the main profile.

A frame or sash for windows or doors of the type specified is known from DE-A1 953 324 and has a hollow, cross-sectionally rectangular profile bar made of plastic, formed at the four corners of the main profile bar, which are symmetrical both with respect to a vertical are arranged to the level of the frame in the longitudinal direction of the bar through the main profile bar and in relation to a level running parallel to the level of the frame in the longitudinal direction of the bar through the main profile bar, and stop rib strips with locking ribs which are non-detachably engaged over their entire length in a groove by positive engagement of the main profile bar can be snapped into place.

The invention has for its object to provide a frame or sash for windows or doors of the type specified, in which a particularly good, reliable connection between the locking rib and groove is guaranteed.

Appropriate embodiments are defined by the features of the subclaims.

The advantages achieved with the invention are based in particular on the fact that the separately extruded stop rib remains firmly held in the groove, which at the same time can also accommodate the usual filling terminal strips.

The locking rib engages with a locking lug behind a shoulder formed on the opposite wall of the groove, as a result of which the stop rib is held particularly firmly. The locking lug in the groove does not interfere with the locking of the conventional filling terminal strip, since it does not come into contact with the area of the corresponding groove wall, which is set back by the locking lug, in the locked state.

If the locking rib is chamfered from the locking lug towards its free edge, the safe insertion of the stop rib and thus the stop rib strip is possible.

The main profile rod is preferably designed according to claim 8. This subdivision of the normally rectangular, possibly restricted by a guide for fitting rods interior of the main profile bar allows the metal reinforcing bar to be inserted into the larger chamber and to arrange the small chamber outside, so that this provides good thermal insulation. In addition, the smaller outer chamber can be used for drainage. At the same time, this ensures that no water can penetrate into the large chamber provided with the metal reinforcement. Accordingly, the metal stiffener does not have to be made of stainless material.

Since the finished frame can no longer be seen where the small chamber to be arranged on the outside, a corresponding marking is expediently made on the outside of the main profile rod. This marking can consist of a small groove on the inside in one or both of the grooves running in the small outer chamber. In this way, the marking remains visible until the groove is used to attach a stop rib or filler terminal block; incorrect installation of the frame can thus be avoided with certainty.

The main profile rod 1 shown in cross section in FIG. 1 of a frame or sash for windows or doors consists of a plastic suitable for window profile rods, such as a PVC-PE copolymer, and has an essentially rectangular profile shape. 1, the plane of the window extends from top to bottom perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.

Both at the two upper corners in the drawing and at the two lower corners, the main profile bar 1 is provided with a groove 2, which is formed by the cavity between two webs 3 and 4 projecting from the main rectangular profile of the main profile bar 1. On the side of the main profile rod 1, which is normally on the outside of the window, an outer, smaller secondary chamber 7 is separated by a connecting web 6 parallel to the window plane, which serves to drain off water that has penetrated. This secondary chamber 7 thus keeps the main chamber 8 free of water, so that a metal reinforcing rod 9 arranged in the main chamber 8 can also consist of a non-rustproof material. In addition, the web 6 with the secondary chamber 7 ensures good thermal insulation, since a metal reinforcement 9, which is generally provided, does not protrude to the outside 10 of the main profile rod 1 on the weather side.

In each of the grooves 2, a conventional filling terminal strip 12 can be detachably latched by means of its retaining rib 13. As far as the interaction of the grooves 2 and the holding rib 13 of a conventional filling terminal block 12 is concerned, the structure of the grooves 2 is also unchanged compared to the prior art. For the interaction of the grooves 2 with the locking rib 20 of a separately extruded stop rib strip 21 shown in FIG. 2, the groove is additionally profiled.

The interaction of the grooves 2 with the conventional holding ribs 13 of the filling terminal strips 12 is not described in detail here, since it is generally known through the “COMBIDUR” window system that the applicant has been selling for years.

The interaction of the locking rib 20 of the stop rib strip 21 with one of the four grooves 2 of a main profile rod according to the invention is described below.

Fig. 4 shows a greatly enlarged view of the relevant parts of the lower right corner of Fig. 3. The groove 2 according to the invention differs from the conventional design of corresponding grooves only in that the wall of the groove 2 in FIG. 4 on the right, opposite the groove 24, forming a shoulder 23, as can be seen in FIG. 4, to about a third of the groove depth jumps back. The lateral groove 24 of the groove corresponds to the state of the art.

The locking rib 20 is in the region of its foot 25 attached to the surface 24 of the stop rib strip 21 as well as the holding rib 13 of the same width as the groove, so that it rests there on both side walls of the groove. At about half the height of the distance from the surface 26 in which the groove is recessed to the shoulder 23, the locking rib 20 is constricted on both sides. While only a flat wedge-shaped constriction is provided on the right side, the constriction in FIG. 4 is considerably larger on the left side. This larger constriction facilitates the threading of the locking rib 20, since this is widened again by a locking lug 28 which engages over the shoulder 23 in FIG. 4 from above. Above the shoulder 23, the right boundary surface of the locking rib 20 runs obliquely to the left to the flattened tip of the locking rib 20. Above the constriction 29 of the locking rib 20 on the groove side, the corresponding left side surface of the locking rib 20 in FIG. 4 extends the corresponding surface of the foot region 15 and lies there also on the corresponding side wall of the groove 2. This wall part of the locking rib 20, which bears on the left side wall of the groove 2 in FIG. 4, can simply be extended over most of the height of the groove 24, as is also shown in FIG. 4. With correct dimensioning, as shown approximately in FIG. 4, a secure attachment of the stop rib strip 21 is already guaranteed. However, if a particularly good fastening is to be achieved, the area of the locking rib opposite the groove 24, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 4, can protrude into the groove 24 by a small amount, for example 0.5 mm. This results in a double hooking in cooperation with the locking lug 21 of the profile of the locking rib 20.

If the locking rib 20 is to be snapped into the groove 2, the stop rib strip 21 is inclined for this purpose in such a way that in FIG Surface 24 attaches, connecting plane in Figure 4 runs approximately vertically from top to bottom. Then the locking rib 20 is pressed into the groove 2 with vigorous pressure, so that it springs into the position shown in FIG. Now a practically unsolvable connection has been created. By appropriate dimensioning, depending on the hardness of the material, it is possible to keep the form fit appropriately large or smaller. The softer the material of the strip 21 and the rod 1 is, the easier they are to deform and the more so more you will let the latch 28 reach behind the shoulder 23. It must be taken into account here that not only the locking rib 20 but also the two webs 3 and 4 experience a corresponding deformation when they snap into place. With a correspondingly solid material, it may be necessary to use a corresponding tool for pressing the locking rib into the groove 2, which tool engages on the bar 21 on the one hand and on the profile bar 1 on the other hand. The principle applies here that the greater the press-in force, the stronger the connection that is created. The deformations that occur during pressing should of course remain essentially within the elastic range of the material.

The locking rib 20 should sit in the groove with pretension.

The stop rib strip 21, once engaged, can no longer be released without damage or at least inappropriately high deformation and forces that cannot be applied in practice. It is different with the filling terminal strip 12. If the glazing, which is held between the terminal strip 12 and the stop rib 21, is destroyed, the pivoting of the terminal strip 12 counterclockwise in FIG. 3 allows the latter to be removed from the connection with the corresponding groove 2 solve.

With regard to the exact shape of the locking rib 20 and the groove 2, reference is expressly made to FIG. 4, which shows an advantageous shape. This also applies to the dimensions of rib 20 and groove 2 shown in FIG. 4.

With the elements described so far, a wide variety of frames for windows and doors can be manufactured. This is explained below in FIGS. 8-15. In all of FIGS. 8-15, the left side of the main profile bar 1, which is only indicated schematically, is the weather side of the frame. Therefore, the small prechamber 7 is also provided there.

Diese kann beispielsweise als Flügelanschlag aber auch als Anschlag für eine Festverglasung dienen.8-15 only the arrangement of the stop rib 21 is shown, while the other components are omitted for the sake of simplicity. 8, only one stop bar is provided on the weather side of the frame. This can serve, for example, as a wing stop but also as a stop for fixed glazing.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 9, a second stop rib strip 21 is additionally snapped on diagonally opposite the strip 21 provided according to FIG. This can also serve as a wing stop.

Depending on their use, both can then serve both as a wing stop and for holding fixed glazing.

Here, too, the stop rib strip 21 can serve both as a wing stop and for holding fixed glazing.

B. provided as a wing stop, while the lower bar 21 can also serve either as a wing stop or for holding a fixed glazing.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 13, two strips 21 are inserted on the space side of the frame in both grooves. They serve here, for. B. as wing stops.

B. also as a wing stop, as is also the case with the embodiment according to FIG. 15.

For easier understanding of the invention, a horizontal section through a window arrangement partially designed according to the invention is shown in FIG. 5, in which fixed glazing is provided in the left half, while an outwardly opening sash made of conventional profile bars is arranged in the right half.

The fixed glazing consists, as can be seen from the drawing, of a frame connected all around on the left, above and below in the usual way to the edge of the window opening, which is essentially formed from four main profile bars 1. While the left main profile bar 1 shown in the drawing is connected to the edge of the window opening, the main profile bar 1 provided in the middle stands freely in the opening and holds the fixed glazing 40 with its left edge, while its right edge stops the stop for the one to be opened to the outside Wing 50 forms.

On the weather side of the window 1 stop rib strips 21 are permanently engaged in the corresponding grooves 2 of the four main profile bars. The double glazing 40 shown in FIG. 1 was then used in a conventional manner. To hold the same firmly, the glass clamping strips 12 were then pressed into the corresponding grooves 2 in a conventional manner.

If the fixed glazing 40 is not double glazing but single glazing, a slightly differently dimensioned glass clamping strip 12a can be used instead of the glass clamping strip 12.

The wing 50, which can be opened to the outside, interacts with a frame which consists of four main profile bars 1, of which the left main profile bar in the drawing coincides with the right main profile bar of the fixed glazing frame 40 in the drawing. Here, stop rib strips 21 are non-releasably engaged in the corresponding grooves 2 of the main profile bars 1 to form stops on the room side of the glazing. The rib 50 interacts with these ribs formed in this way. This consists of four profile bars 51 according to the state of the art which, with outwardly projecting stop ribs 52 extruded in one piece with them, bear against the main profile bars 1 from the weather side and also cooperate with the stop rib strips 21 of the main profile bars 1. The conventional bars 51 are provided with fitting chambers 53, which can also be provided for the bars 1 according to the invention.

The glazing of the outwardly opening wing 50 is shown at 55. Of course, single glazing with the aid of glass retaining strips 12a can also be provided here.

In Fig. 5 the rubber seals used in the grooves 30 in the usual way are not shown. Such seals are also generally known and customary and do not require any further description.

In Fig. 6 the weather side is also at the top and the room side at the bottom. Here, too, the wing 60 opens outwards, while in the left part, just as in FIG. 5, fixed glazing 40 is drawn, which is also designed in the same way as in FIG. 5. In contrast to the construction according to FIG. 5, however, the frame 62 of the wing 60 to be opened is also formed from main profile bars 1 according to the invention and latched stop rib strips 21 and glass clamping strips 12. Here too, the snap-on rib strips 21 are on the outside, since they are more secure than the glass clamping strips 12.

If, in a construction as shown in FIG. 6, the wing should not open outwards but inwards, that is to say the weather side should be below, then care must be taken that the retaining rib strips 21 come to rest on the outside again. In this case, the glass clamping strip 12 would have to sit where the retaining rib strip 21 is drawn, and vice versa. Furthermore, the retaining rib strips 21 and glass clamping strips 12 holding the glazing would have to be interchanged on the casement 60.

Der Pfosten 72 wird hier ebenfalls von einem Hauptprofilstab 1 gebildet, der an der Raumseite des Fensters zwei Anschlagrippenleisten 21 unlösbar aufgerastet trägt, während mit den Stegen 4 an der Außenseite die entsprechenden Anschlagrippenleisten 21 der Flügelrahmen 75 zusammenwirken.FIG. 7 shows a window construction with two wings 71 that can be opened to the outside and that abut against a fixed post 72 in the vertical center of the window indicated by the center line 71. The construction of the wing 70 is identical to that of the wing construction 60 shown in FIG. 6. The post 72 is here also formed by a main profile bar 1, which carries two stop rib strips 21 on the room side of the window, while the webs 4 on the The corresponding stop rib strips 21 of the casement 75 interact on the outside.

The Figure 7 can also be seen as a representation of an inward opening wing arrangement with a central post 72, if one assumes that the room side is above and the weather side below. In this case, however, the arrangement of stop rib strips 21 and glass clamping strips 12 holding the glass panes would then have to be interchanged, so that the former are located at the bottom in FIG. 7 and the latter at the top.

The inventive design of the locking ribs for holding the stop rib strips can also be advantageous if the design of the main profile bars does not correspond to the main claim, if the main profile bars are thus designed, for example, according to the bars 51 in FIG. 5. That is e.g. B. is advantageous if the wing is a door wing that carries a non-renewable filling in the middle. Then, for example, the terminal strips 12 can also be replaced by terminal strips 21.

The object of FIG. 4 can therefore also be used independently of the design of the main profile rod according to FIG. 1.
